Masaki Nishimura

Today was the day. Good or bad? Masaki did not have a clue, all he knew was that being told and not asked to join a squad of people he didn't know made him feel uncomfortable. Plus it too sudden, they hadn't even informed him of this when he had graduated, a seemingly obvious task to perform, but was still performed later.

'Maybe it's a test? Or really is just some form of team building and training. We'll probably ending up going our separate ways afterwards..I think...wait, what if this is it and I'm just stuck with these weirdos?! What if-'

Walking quietly through the Village, Masaki was deep in his thoughts. The idea of being thrown into a group of strangers unnerved him, as did the possibility of him being weaker than them. This sent a flicker of panic of in his mind. He broke into a run, following the road out of the village. He passed a bridge leading further out, coincidently being the meeting spot for the new Team, and went further out into the misty trees surrounding the Village.

Birds flew noisily overhead, setting an atmosphere of wariness. Something must have scared them. nonetheless, Masaki somersaulted down from one of the trees, landing directly in the center of the clearing he had chosen. Practice was his main idea, especially if it meant him looking 'cool' in front of his team members.

He laughed quietly, a glimmer in his eye as he took off, running towards a tree, hand seals forming, until he jumped up the tree, kicking himself off and firing a Suiton: Teppoudama at an oppositely positioned tree. The sphere of water jetisoned itself from his mouth, smashing into the trunk of the tree and pulling the leaves with it. Still in midair, he backflipped and pulled out three sendon from his left sleeve, throwing them just as he hit the ground, rolling further to the left and hiding.

'Hey that wasn't so bad.' He thought happily, walking back out into the clearing, 'Maybe if I try it a little differently it could be a little more versatile. Practice makes perfect'.

The hand seals were formed again, with Masaki running even faster before to the tree that he had previously hit, took a single jump, using the embedded senbon as a step and backflipped again, waiting until he was vertically above the senbon until releasing the technique. The water burst from his mouth forcefully blasting the senbon from their position and exploding onto the ground, eroding it slightly from the blast. He somersaulted backwards, landing on hs feet in a crouched position.

'Oh yeah, their gonna love me', He thought smugly.

Rinkotsu woke up with a start, the sheets flying up off him and then slowly falling back down to the bed. He squinted as light poured in from the window, the blinds slightly cracked as golden rays of light shone through. He jumped out of a bed, a little disorientated as the head rush hit him from moving too quickly. He was excited as he got ready, finding his clothes strewn across his room along with everything else he owned. Today he would be able to meet the teammates he would be assigned with, something he had been looking forward to since graduation.

Rinkotsu walked out his front door, having gotten dressed and freshened up for the occasion he had been eagerly anticipating. He pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket, the location of the spot they would meet was written down on it. Folding and tucking the piece of paper back in his pocket, Rinkotsu made his way towards the bridge leading out of Kiri, the meeting spot not too far from there.

As he walked he imagined what his teammates would be like, wondering if they would get along well or whether they would bicker and fight all the time. He only assumed that he would be paired with at least people who would relatively get along with each other. He snapped back to reality, realizing he was spacing as he walked and looked around to see where he was, hoping he hadn't pasted the spot. He saw the bridge so he was close, making his way out into the trees to find the clearing that was the designated spot. He then heard the sound of some crashing and possibly the sound of water splashing, possibly one of his teammates practicing as they waited.

Rinkotsu followed the sounds and found the clearing quite quickly, peering through the trees to see a fellow genin and possibly his teammate training. He was quite impressed by the skill of the genin and was ready to show his potential as well, making a little game out of it rather than becoming jealous. Without actual jutsu to perform, Rinkotsu would compensate by showing his prowess in taijutsu.

Rinkotsu burst out into the clearing, running quickly towards a tree adjacent from where he had emerged. He jumped as he neared it, focusing chakra to his feet as he hit the tree and began running up its trunk. He ran up the majority of its length before pushing off on his left foot, flipping into a back flip as he came down from its height. He braced himself for the impact of the landing, bending onto one knee as he came down, striking the ground with a fist as he hit.

Rinkotsu stood up as the ground around him began to crack and crumble from the force of the blow. Not a huge area of mass destruction lay around him but he was happy to know that he was getting stronger. Rinkotsu looked over to the other genin with a smile as he gave a little wave, "Hey, I'm Rinkotsu. You part of the team?" Outside he looked happy but inside he was a little sad, knowing his teammates would be proficient in ninjutsu which he wasn't. He hoped he would be useful in this team rather than just a nuisance.

Riku wandered through the woods of the Water Country near Kirigakure's borders. Alot was going on inside the village, but the Mizukage seemed to have it under control, at least for now. He walked slowly towards the spot the Genin were said to be. He wore his usual dark outfit; The black hoody with white fur around the hood and bottom, his black pants, the back of his blonde and black hair spiked, and the usual eyeliner and black fingernails. Boy, wouldn't his Genin be suprised to see their sensei.

He pulled out two manilla folders from under his arm, opening the first and viewing the papers. "Masaki Nishimura. Age 14. Born in Otogakure but moved to Kirigakure. Hm...seems he has an interesting Doujutsu." He mumbled to himself, viewing the young Genin's file. Placing the paper back in the folder, he flipped it open and pulled out another paper. "Rinkotsu Sanachi. Age 14. born and raised in Kirigakure. Doesn't seem to know any jutsu at the moment other than the ones taught at the academy." He once again spoke outloud.

He placed the paper back in the folder just as he reached a clearing and saw two young Genin doing various flips and attacks off of trees. At least he got an energetic bunch. The young Tensei clan leader rubbed the back of his head and looked at the two Genin. "If you two could calm down for a moment, we can begin. I am Riku Tensei, leader of the Tensei clan and your Sensei for the time being. He spoke in a tone fit for a leader. The bladed metal tail hanging from the back of his neck swung back and forth lightly much like a cat's would.

"Now, as you may notice, we are missing a team member. It seems that something happened to our third Genin and he is unable to join us. The academy is looking for a suitable replacement, but we can manage like this until then. Now let's start with something simple. Say your name and three things about yourself, as will I." He continued, leaning against a tree trunk with his hands in the pocket of his open hoody. "You first." He added, nodding his head towards Masaki.

Suddenly footsteps were upon the clearing, Masaki turned quickly, his hands moving to his familiar seals until he noticed who it was. A shinobi ran completely out into the open moving at high speed towards a tree a distance away from him, and running up it to about halfway. Masaki
watched open-mouthed as the shinobi then jumped backward, landing in a kneeling position and smashed a crater into the ground. Masaki felt the blood rise up in his face, ‘What a bloody show off. Oh, look at me, I’ve got super strength, lardy da! I bet he’s a complete obnoxious-‘
"Hey, I'm Rinkotsu. You part of the team?"

It took Masaki several moments to comprehend his mouth reattaching to his brain. He seemed...nicer than he had expected. Being surprised by niceties such as these took Masaki by surprise. As he was just about to reply he felt a sudden unexpected shift in the atmosphere and noticed a dark movement just behind Rinkotsu. 'This must be our sensei' he thought, hurriedly noticing the large chakra, but not feeling comforted by it. There was something odd about this man.

"If you two could calm down for a moment, we can begin. I am Riku Tensei, leader of the Tensei clan and your Sensei for the time being." He spoke in an exaggerated tone, dripping with authority. By now Rinkotsu had already had a similiar reaction to the newly revealed Sensei, even turning around to look incredulously at Masaki. He just nodded in reply.

"Now, as you may notice, we are missing a team member. It seems that something happened to our third Genin and he is unable to join us. The academy is looking for a suitable replacement, but we can manage like this until then. Now let's start with something simple. Say your name and three things about yourself, as will I." Although he regretted it, he made an audible gulp.

"Umm, yeah, so, Hajimemashite*, I'm Masaki Nishimura. Ummm, I'm from a ninja family, or at least my father was, umm, and due to that I want to become as strong as possible to bring the spirit of our family back", he felt a sudden jab of pride, "Oh, and I don't like Natto*". He nodded in self agreement, then looked left to a smiling Rinkotsu. Maybe this wasn't as bad as he had thought?
