Spoiler:
Suna Shunshin no Jutsu [Sand Instantaneous Body Technique]
Rank: D
Description: The user forms the appropriate seals then disappears in a flurry of sand, reappearing somewhere else. The distance moved depends on the chakra expended.
IC: Alanna stood on the rock in the Sunagakure training grounds, a scroll in her hand and determination in her eyes. She had been genin long enough, and no teacher had taught her any jutsus. She had no choice but to learn this one on her own to show the higher ranked shinobi she was worth their time. It was her opinion that teaching herself was better, but when she had tried to learn the two techniques that would have qualified her for Chuunin, she had failed miserably.
She set the scroll down and studied it intently, memorizing the few hand seals required by the jutsu and skimming over the instructions.

Having memorized the hand seals and doing them all precisely, Alanna worked on her speed at forming them. As she formed each seal, Alanna flowed her hands smoothly into the next, morphing that one in turn to the next. Her natural agility made this much easier than it would normally have been, but it still took a good two minutes to get up to a respectable speed.
The next thing to do was study the rest fo the scroll, memorizing the theory behind the jutsu and learning the proper usage for it. It seemed to Alanna to be a very useful technique, despite being D-ranked. Once finished this, she stood up, ready for a trial run. _________________ Mizunaka Alanna

The young genin prepared herself for the first trial run of this jutsu, closing her eyes and doing the excercises she had created to calm herself. There is a river, and I am the banks. I control the river by guiding it, bending it where I want it to go. I am the unyielding stone. This served to give her greater focus, and she felt capable of doing anything the moment she finished.
She formed the seals quickly, though not as quickly as she would once she was certain it would work, and focused on her goal as the chakra flowed through her. She was aiming for ten feet in front of the wooden training dummy in the middle of the grounds, a reasonable distance for the first try. _________________ Mizunaka Alanna

WHAM! She struck the tree with such force that the air was knocked out of her lungs. She had only a few moments to determine what had happened, and her last thought before blacking out was, The scroll was wrong!
When she came to five minutes later, Alanna felt her forehead, and her hand came away with flakes of dried blood. She felt again for the wound, and found it was only a few scrapes, which had apparently scabbed over while she was unconscious. This put a slight damper on her spirits, but she remained calm and stood up. She went over what she remembered of the trial and nearly smacked herself on the head before remembering that it might open the wounds. She had been distracted slightly at the last moment and changed targets. _________________ Mizunaka Alanna

She quickly collected her thoughts to try again. She had expended more chakra than expected and gone over four times as far as she intended, but she was ready to try again. She went through her exercises again, regaining full composure. She carefully targeted the spot ten feet in front of the dummy again, this time closing out all distractions. She formed the seals three times in practice, making sure she had them perfect.
Then she formed the seals again and triggered the jutsu, focusing intently on the spot she desired. She felt herself being pulled away from the spot under the tree she had crashed into, and when she stopped, she was twenty feet from the dummy. _________________ Mizunaka Alanna

It wasn't perfect, but better than the first time. She believed she had the problem worked out, a minor flaw in her chakra control. She corrected the flow in her mind, then focused again on the spot, this time taking in the whole area. If she was to use this effectively, she had to be able to use it with all distractions. She did manage to focus on the spot on the outer edge while seeing everything, and she activated the jutsu.
She did it perfectly this time. She landed within an inch of her target, and she did another half a dozen to be sure. Each time was more and more accurate, until finally she was doing it perfectly. She could hardly believe she had gotten it right so quickly after the first failure, but she silently congratulated herself and stroked her ego a bit before going home to tend her injuries.
