Posted: Tue Dec 04, 2007 1:51 pm Post subject: Urgent Training [Jutsu Training... obviously]
Code:
Name: Elemental Blade
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: A
Requirements: Dark Sun or Silver Moon
Description: A technique that increases the blades' power by calling upon their element. When the technique is activated, it constantly drains chakra. Dark Sun's blade becomes very hot, and Silver Moon's becomes extremely cold. This jutsu increases the power of the swords, up to cutting through solid metal, but corresponding amount of chakra is required.
Name: Ice Scimitar/Fire Scimitar
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: A
Requirements: Dark Sun or Silver Moon; Death Trail technique
Description: An advancement of the Death Trail, this technique uses the sword to fire chakra at the opponent. The chakra takes on an crescent shape, with about two meters from one end to the other, and can go about ten meters away from the user at high speed. The direction and rotation of the crescent is controlled by the swing. The colors are the same as of the Death Trail. Can be used with both blades simultaneously.
Name: Touch of Death
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: A
Requirements: Dark Sun or Silver Moon; Transfer technique learned
Description: A high-level advancement of the temperature control technique. This technique is just like Transfer, except for the part that it is meant for combat. In a matter of seconds, it can create extremely low/high temperatures. The high level of bond with the blades that this technique requires allows the user to perform this jutsu with his hands as long as he has the swords on him.
Name: Steel Wings
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: A
Requirements: Kyuuketsuki Ketsueki - High Vampire Level
Description: A vampire who has full-sized wings is able to perform this technique. It can be used either in an offensive or defensive way. If the vampire uses the defensive variation of this jutsu, his wings' surface becomes hard as tempered steel and can be used as a shield. The offensive variation of this technique does the similar to the wings' edges, making them extremely sharp as well, so the vampire can use them to attack. This technique lasts for about a minute. During this period, if the jutsu is used in a defensive way, the vampire can't fly, and if the offensive variation is used it requires more stamina to fly and the speed and maneuverability are halved.
gonna learn these all... in the exact order they're given. That would take me 36 posts... Yeah, I'm sick like that XD well, thank God it's not the old requirement of 15 posts like it was before the revamp, or else it would take 60 posts XD okay, on with the actual training
It was dawn. The sun has barely risen over the horizon, but a true shinobi does not constrain his life to the circle of daylight. Ukyo made his way to a small clearing not far from Kirigakure that he noted as a good training location earlier. This distance from the village would ensure that he wouldn't be bothered by Mist ninja, well, only by the occasional one maybe. He needed some peace and quite, or rather, he needed to be left alone to train in peace. He was not used to training with somebody, training with somebody watching, somebody teaching him or teaching anybody. The only exception might have been for the two sentient swords he carried, but they weren't people, and they were a special case, since nobody else could have taught him what they have.
You should also learn to teach, since you're going to have at least two apprentices real soon. Yeah, but I think I can handle it. You so sure? The last, and actually, the only dialog you had with your future students didn't seem to go so well. One ended up crying and the other hating your gut. They don't have to like me to learn from me, right? Besides, I'm not even going to take Kaeor as a student. I wouldn't take any students, but I have no choice in Saya's case... and I might take Rosu as well. The girl has a lot of potential, unlike her sister. Yeah, quite true.Is that really it, or maybe it's just that she's very similar to you? What do you mean? She seems to share your view of the world. So far, nobody else has. And your point is, I just like her for this reason? Well, maybe, but then again, it is the very same view on the world you and Taiyou share. Am I right? ... I thought so.
Okay-okay, enough chit-chat, let's get started with the training. We have just a few more days before Saya recovers from the hospital... should make the most out of it. Very true. So, what was that awesome new technique you were going to teach me? Just a little thing to increase our power using chakra. You mean, something like a chakra blade overlay? Uh... yeah, I guess. You know, sometimes the terms you come up with scare me. Well, anyways. Remember Death Trail and Transfer training? Well, this time, you need to do somehing in between those two. Um... okay, I'll try. Ukyo pumped a bit of chakra into Silver Moon, triggering the temperature control and releasing a small amount through the blade's backside, and tried swinging it around. However, what he got was a half-decent Death Trail and a light cool breeze. _________________

I guess that wasn't quite correct... Yeah... great explaining there, bro. Okay, Ukyo, listen. What my brother said was correct in a way, but at the same time awfully misleading. While the way of activating this technique is really like the mid-point between Death Trail and Transfer, the principle is almost the contrary. In both those jutsus you needed to release chakra through the blades, and in this one you need to keep it concentrated inside, while it will be constantly leaking due to the extreme concentration. Try it. Er... try what? Concentrating your chakra in the blades, idiot! ...that was uncalled for. The jounin tried what Tsuki advised him to, but this time, absolutely nothing happened. He tried again, but with the same results. _________________

I must be doing something wrong... Wow, great observation... not. Of course you are doing something wrong! Excuse me? What is that "of course" supposed to mean? Are you implying that I'm a failure? I didn't say that... I'm not saying you did, I'm just saying you meant it. Quit your whining! We have training to do, you know. Jeez... what's biting her? I wish I knew...Cut the crap, you want to learn this technique or not?! Of course I do! Then pay attention, damn it!.. Alright, where was I... oh, yeah... you didn't concentrate the chakra enough. You know... try putting more chakra into the blades. Alright... Once again, Ukyo attempted to perform the jutsu, and once again, to no avail. The constant failure to comprehend the principles of this technique was getting on his nerve. _________________

No, no, no! That's all wrong! Yeah, I can see that, - the ninja replied sarcastically, - How about giving me some of your ingenious advice? I already did - concentrate chakra into the bla... It's not working! I am pumping out charka, but it just... won't fit in! Like all the "space" is taken up already... Wait, are you serious? Oh my God! And I thought you were smart... Hey! What was that just now? I'm getting tired of your covert insults, you know. Yeah, whatever... I know just what exactly you are doing wrong. Oh, goody. Care to tell? Stop being such an ass... you need to compress the chakra in the blades. Say what? You said the chakra you were pumping out didn't "fit" inside the blade. That is because it was "filled up" with your chakra already. But that is not good enough, you need to compress chakra inside the blade if you want to perform this technique. O-kay... Ukyo tried sending chakra inside the Silver Moon once again, this time using more force, but only succeeded in wasting it. _________________

So... how do I do this? Take any ninjutsu technique, when you usually concentrate the chakra at one place in your body, and remember the Death Trail and Transfer training, where you learned to control chakra outside your body. What you were doing just now was trying to compress the chakra by putting more "chakra weight" "on top" of it. But that's not how it works. You need to tell the chakra already inside the blade, and be able to compress it on its own. For example, when you use Kinobori, you don't have to pump chakra into your legs, but you must concentrate it in your feet. Get the idea? Yeah, I think I do now. Alright, try it then. And so he did. However, he had little success. Well, at least that's a start. _________________

A start is nice, but far from enough. You'll have to practice much more if you want to ever learn this technique, I'm not even talking about... Oh yeah?! Well, you know what? I bet I could master it in the next three hours. Huh, very funny. You think you're so great, don't you? Very well, you're on, boy.Um... what are you guys gonna bet? It's not like you have anything to fight over... Good question... how about... if I win, you'll admit that I am an exceptional ninja, much greated than you were? Lose that last part and you've got a deal. But if you lose... I will address you as none other than a wimp you really are. I'll ignore that last part... it's a deal then. Ukyo was quite excited, and determined to win the bet. All that remained now is to actually succeed in performing the stupid jutsu. I wonder if I can really do it... _________________

Well, that's a laugh. What? Have you forgotten? I know all of your thoughts. Good for you. Tsuki was starting to annoy Ukyo. He needed to concentrate to finally perform the technique, but she kept distracting him. I wonder if she is doing this on purpose, so that I'll lose the bet... Well, duh! She obviously is. Oh... okay, now that that's been cleared... Ukyo realized what he needed to do. Pump some chakra into the blades and keep it there, concentrate it so that it would start leaking out because of the "pressure" - sounds simple. Let's try this... channel chakra into the sword... compress it... The jounin's face brightened up as he realized that he succeeded. Good, good, but you need to have a much higher concentration of chakra if you want this jutsu to severely increase our power. It shouldn't be too hard, now that I know how to do it... _________________

Good to see you're so optimistic, since you only have one hour and twenty minutes left. Stop acting cool, I've completed the hardest part of the technique in about half the time we bet on. You lost already, just admit it. You haven't won until you have performed the technique. We'll see who gets the last laugh. Which is going to be me. Stop arguing and start training. You two are driving me nuts... Tsuki could say whatever she wanted, but Ukyo knew he would win the bet. He really did grasp the hardest part of the training, and now it was all about practicing it. He continued pressing more and more chakra into the blades, each time getting a bit higher density, until Taiyou finally said: Good, that's enough. You almost reached the possible limit. Now, for the final stage of the training. _________________

The final stage? Yeah. Just compressing chakra isn't enough, it would make the swords much tougher, but would not really increase their cutting power. Oh, right... should have thought about that. So, what is the final stage? Well, it's really simple. Remember when you trained to use our temperature manipulation abilities? It's pretty much the same. Now, you need to trigger our own power using that chakra which you compressed into the blades. I see... shouldn't be hard at all. The jounin was right. The first attempt turned out successful, as he felt cold radiating from the Silver Moon. Seems like you did it... Now, to test the jutsu... see that rock to the left? Go slice it in half. What? Are you serious? Yes, I am. If the technique is performed correctly and enough chakra is used, the swords should be capable of penetrating thick layers of steel. Now, try it, you only have about two minutes left. Oh, I completely forgot... - thought Ukyo as he rushed to the large rock at the edge of the clearing.
Wondering if this sword was really capable of cutting such a thing, he made sure that the charka density was high enough, and performed a diagonal slash at it. The blade went right through the rock, and for a few seconds, nothing happened. Did I fail? Well, only mere twenty seconds to go, so you can't do anything now.I wonder... Ukyo, why don't you give the thing a light push? What? Just do it. Alright... As the jounin pushed the rock, it's top part suddenly separated and slid off the rest, revealing an almost perfectly flat surface. Hm, a clean cut, huh? Wow... I... I never thought such things were possible... And I guess that means you won the bet... Oh, yeah. Tsuki? What? Oh, fine... I admit it, you're an exceptional ninja, Ukyo. Just don't let it go to your head...

Huh, you're the one to talk... She does have a point, though. You are really good, but remember, there's always someone out there who is even better. I know, I know... Look, I might still be a kid, but I am not an idiot, alright? So stop treating me like one. Right, sorry... anyways, ready to learn the next technique? Yeah, I think so. I'll just rest a little bit while you explain it to me, - thought Ukyo, sitting down by a tree. The sun was already up and shining. Such a peaceful morning... Right... just don't fall asleep on me. Now, where to start... this next technique is going to be something similar to Death Trail. But instead of just leaving a chakra trail for a random idiot to run into, it launches "chakra blades" at the opponent. So, it's a ranged attack? Yes, for the most part, but using it in close combat will surely make things complicated for the enemy. Alright, so this is how it goes. You need to concentrate some chakra into the blades, and then release it all at once, in a specific direction. Get it? I think so... it doesn't sound hard. _________________
