Description: Sharingan is the bloodline limit doujutsu of the Uchiha clan. It possesses several powerful abilities, though it is developed through three stages. When just awakened, it is in Stage 1, with only one tomoe located above the pupil; in Stage 2, another tomoe appears, and they are now located to the left and right of the pupil; all three tomoe appear in Stage 3, and they are located in a triangle shape around the pupil: one directly above and the other two to the bottom left and right. The Sharingan is activated by sending some chakra into the eyes. It does not cost much, but only a true Uchiha can have it activated for prolonged periods of time without risking their health.
Stage 1: The initial stage of the awakened Sharingan, it only gives the clan members some basic abilities. Among these is the ability to see movement somewhat faster than what they would normally be able to and to detect chakra. This allows them to react better and gives them higher accuracy than most. Thanks to the chakra detection ability, many camouflage techniques are rendered ineffective. This stage also allows them to see clearer than normal.
Stage 2: The second stage of the Sharingan allows those who possess it to see everything with even better clarity, including objects that would normally fall out of sight because of their speed. This allows them to dodge and attack as if their taijutsu skills were one step higher. Additionally, visual genjutsu of rank B or lower can be dispelled instantly, without any chakra cost or a need for a special technique.
Stage 3: The third and final stage of the Sharingan opens even more possibilities for the clan members. Their vision of moving objects improves further. Their ability to see chakra and movement allows them to memorize the techniques used by their enemies and copy them, one of the abilities the clan is highly famous for. Additionally, visual genjutsu of rank A or lower can be dispelled instantly, without any chakra cost or a need for a special technique.
Years Ago
~Screams and cries of pain could be heard echoing throughout the strrets of the village as the undeniable flickering or fire burned accross the half demolished buildings. Homes, businesses, all destroyed before the Konoha people even knew they were under attack, unbelievable. Otogakure had struck a devastating blow to the leaf village, those who hadn't made it to the evacuation point before the explosions had begun were now all likely dead. The village was still but for the definate roar of the infernos and the footsteps of hundreds of sound ninja. Now was the time for Konoha's counter-attack, everything was prepared they waited only for the Hokage's signal. A small boy was crouched on a roof over looking the chaos below, his face was hidden by shadow but his blood red eyes could not be hidden by mere darkness. Uchiha Midaru had grown much in the last year, he was now a jounin like his father and had become a respected shinobi in the village though he was still young at only 11 years of age, however any who doubted the young Uchiha because of this were quickly put in their place when they witnessed his prowess on the battle field. Midaru smirked as a small group of enemy ninja sprinted through the street below him, he found it exciting that they had no idea of what was going to happen to them, a few moments later the Uchiha's eyes shifted to his left as an ally appeared beside him, this man was in his thirties and his eyes also shone with the tell-tale red of the sharingan. "It's time Midaru" He said simply and the young jounin grinned to his father.
The two ninja leapt down from their perch in unison and both drove weapons into seperate sound ninja, as they did this, the rest of the sound invaders who were close by spun round to the source, two Uchiha, an intimidating sight, but the thought of failure was even more intimidating. And so they attacked. Midaru's father made a quick string of handseals and took a deep breath, when he exhaled a huge stream of white hot flames exploded through the squad of invaders instantly killing at least half of them. As his father moved through the hand seals so did Midaru but when he finished nothing happened, or so it seemed. The remaining ninja were frozen solid, they saw themselves frozen in a block of ice, immobilized completely as the younger Uchiha darted between them, stabbing and slicing as he went, killing them all within seconds. Midaru swung his sword down sharply and the blood splattered to the floor, he turned to his father who smiled at his Son and the two disappeared, this area was clear and they were needed elsewhere. When the two reappeared it was in the center of the village and to the scene of a massacre, it appeared that in this section of the village Konoha was losing. Familiar faces were littered all over the ground in pools of their own blood, their eyes lifeless and grey, both father and son were shocked by what they saw and yet they were even more shocked when they looked to the scene of the fighting, a single sound ninja was battling against three konoha jounin. The invader laughed as he danced past the three jounin's attacks and roared in triumph as he smashed the skull of one with his elbow.
The two Uchiha moved as fast as they could but before they could reach the man he had finished the other two Konoha ninja with one swing of a huge sword which he now rested on his shoulder. "Bastard!" Midaru yelled and ignored his father's cries of "Wait!" As he dove towards the ninja whose eyes opened with surprise, he swung out again with the sword but Midaru was faster, he planted his hands down on the flat of his enemy's blade and used it as a platform to fire himself into the sky, now directly above the ninja he had a clear attack path and he began a series of quick hand seals "Katon! Gouryuuka no Jutsu!" He roared as the ninja's eyes widened in fear and a huge dragon head of fire came down upon him, crushing his body into the floor and killing him instantly. Or it would have, had this been the real ninja, instead he just exploded into a cloud of smoke. "Kage Bunshin!" Midaru exclaimed and his father span round as he felt a large amount of chakra gathering behind him. But as he turned it was already too late, a beam of chakra about a foot wide burst straight through the older jounin's chest and sent him flying backwards onto the ground.~ _________________
IC: ~ Midaru's eyes widened in shock as he saw his father's body fall to the floor with a large gaping hole in his chest. The Uchiha rushed to the aid of his father but when he got to the body he found that he wasn't breathing, tears fell from the young Midaru's eyes down onto his father's flak jacket and he began to shake furiously, the raven haired youth span round to face his opponent in a rage and roared "I'll kill you!" As he shouted he rushed towards his father's murderer with katana in hand, ready to slice the man in two. The sound ninja however did nothing but laugh and as Midaru swung his sword he simply moved out of the way, too fast for the Uchiha to follow completely but Midaru could estimate his opponent's next position and he stabbed to where the enemy's torso would be but once again he hit nothing. A vicious roar could be heard as the man swung his sword down towards the youth whose eyes now widened in terror, he had been careless, ovre confident, and now it would be the end of him. But when the sword made contact it was not with him, but his sword which he still held out in the stabbing posture, Midaru's blade was sliced in half and he quickly dashed backwards. It appeared that this man wanted to toy with him first, Midaru gritted his teeth in anger, his Uchiha pride would not let him be the weaker one and he quickly began making hand seals, but as he did the sound ninja removed his mask and threw it to the stunned Uchiha's feet. "It seems you're no better than last time Midaru" The man said with a stupid grin on his face "Y-You!"
The man laughed loudly at the jounin's surprise "Yes, it's me, and I told you I'd get you back for what you did...You and your damn father" Midaru listened in stunned silence as he spoke, the last time the Uchiha had seen this man, he had tried to kill the young Uchiha, fortunately he was unsuccessful due to the efforts of Midaru's father. This man's name was Jiro and he was classified as an A-class Missing Ninja in the bingo book after what he pulled in Konoha a year previously, now it seemed he had joined with Zieg and the Sound village. "This explains how the lot of you got in unnoticed, you know how to get through the protective barrier around the village without alerting anyone!" The Uchiha spat as the former jounin smiled and nodded "Sharp as always Midaru, but I'm afraid it's time for my revenge...And your death" With that he rushed the youth with a speed like nothing Midaru had ever seen, his sharingan eye aided him slightly, but not enough to make a full dodge and he suffered a powerful knee to the gut which sent him skidding back along the ground, before he could look up Jiro was once again before him with that same smirk and a fist raised to pummel the boy into the ground. Midaru narrowed his eyes and as the fist fell it seemed to go slower than he expected. The jounin managed to completely avoid it but he missed the follow-up attack, a kick to the head which sent him flying into the side of a building and crashed him through the wall.
Midaru's vision was blurred as he lay in the pile of rubble, it was insane how much better Jiro had become, he lifted his head slightly to keep his eyes fixed on his attacker who was seemingly just stood still, pointing at the Uchiha. But no, Midaru had seen this before, this was the technique Jiro had just used against his father and the one he almost killed the Uchiha with the last time they fought. chakra began to visibly collect around Jiro's hand and Midaru got hastily to his feet and began making handseals, as he finished black flames erupted around the jounin's hand, nearby rock began to melt and the jounin dashed forwards with extreme speed. Jiro smiled as he watched the boy's attempt at a counter attack, the distance between them was enough for Jiro to fully unleash his attack, a beam of pure chakra now erupted from his hand and headed straight for the Uchiha. Midaru saw the attack coming and he drove his hand forwards to meet Jiro's attack with his own, as he did he felt a change in his eyes, suddenly he could see the chakra with more clarity, he could more precisely aim his attack to meet perfectly with the beam, Midaru smiled as another dark tomoe appeared in his blood red eye, now surrounding the pupil with three. "Mashin Shageki!" He roared as his black flames made contact with Jiro's chakra beam and completely overpowered it. Jiro's eyes snapped open with horror "Impossible!" He yelled as Midaru dashed through his attack and in an instant was before the sound nin with his hand drawn back, ready to attack once more. "No!" He roared and crossed his massive sword accross his torso to block the Uchiha's attack. Midaru smiled at Jiro's futile efforts, a mere sword would do nothing against Mashin Shageki "Die!" He growled as he plunged his hand straight through the sword and deep into Jiro's chest, completely destroying his heart.~ _________________

Requirements: Sharingan Stage 3; 4-point kinjutsu training
Description: Despite being known as hypnosis, this ability is far from that and is actually rather simple, although its power is great. It allows one to use any genjutsu without making any hand seals, simply by making eye contact. This also allows them to use genjutsu normally activated by sound, touch, smell or even taste, meaning any of the five senses, via making eye contact, although in that case they will be rendered as visual. It also lets them use genjutsu like Mirror Heaven and Earth Change simply by making eye contact.
~ It had been two days since the attack on Konoha from Zieg and the Sound village, Midaru was walking through the Uchiha compound with a woman of about thirty years of age, her hair was the same raven black as Midaru's and they both shared a stony expression. This woman was Shinmei, Midaru's mother, the two had just been to the infirmary to visit the third member of their family; Idate was the father and he had suffered an almost fatal wound at the hands of a Konoha ninja who had defected to the other side. Idate was in a stable but critical condition and neither mother nor son had been allowed to stay for any real amount of time, the two now walked solemnly back to the family home, not a word said between them, until Midaru broke the silence. "I'm scared..." He said slowly, Shinmei span round to face her son with a look of anger over her face and the blood red eyes of the sharingan, as their eyes met chains erupted from the ground around Midaru and wrapped around the young Uchiha, lifting him into the air. The boy was shocked as his mother stared at him from below "Do not be frightened you foolish boy, your father is one of the strongest ninja of Konoha, that is a mere flesh wound to him!" She spat at her son as the chains lowered him to the ground and eventually disappeared. Midaru breathed heavily as his mother walked away from him, "How does she do that?" He thought to himself in disbelief, she had used no handsigns, indeed all she had done was look him in the eye and he had been caught in her illusion. Midaru's brow creased in thought and he followed the woman back to their home.
As he entered the building Midaru found his mother busying herself in the kitchen, no sooner had he walked to her than she set a plate of food down on the large table, she now stood leaning on the counter with her arms folded over her chest. Midaru looked at the meal but did not show any great interest, he was not hungry, he wanted answers. "How did you do that? He asked sharply "I cooked it" Shinmei replied with annoyance clear in her voice. The young jounin grunted after the rebuke and walked closer to the woman "You know what I mean mother, you caught me in a genjutsu just by looking me in the eyes...How?" He asked and stared his mother in the eyes. The woman laughed, Midaru had never really shown much interest in genjutsu through his life, preferring the directness and form of ninjutsu, perhaps if he gained more knowledge and power with illusions he would understand their true power? "It is not something limited to only me..." she began and Midaru's heart began to beat faster, this was what he had been hoping to hear. "However it is something unique to the Uchiha clan, you yourself recently unlocked the ability to perform genjutsu through eye contact yourself." She said slowly as Midaru's eyes turned blood red with three tomoe surrounding his pupil in a triangular fashion "Yes, the final stage of the sharingan allows you to cast genjutsu with but a glance..." As he heard this Midaru instantly attempted a genjutsu on his mother, he caught her eye and moved his chakra just as he would if he were to make hand seals. The older Uchiha laughed at her son "However you cannot yet do this...It is something you must understand before you can perform, you need a greater knowledge of genjutsu before you are able to cast them through the sharingan Midaru...Now go, unlock your potential." Midaru frowned at his mother but then nodded and swiftly left the building, he headed for the library, it had helped him to create a kinjutsu, perhaps now it would help him with this. ~ _________________
~After days pouring over the dusty old tomes of the Konoha library Midaru was getting closer and closer to fully understanding genjutsu, or as much as he could having only read books about it and experienced little. He grimaced as he reread some of the pages in the most recent papers, there seemed to be solid proof here that no genjutsu could be cast without hand seals, that it was impossible for such a thing to happen and the chakra would not be controlled enough to successfully initiate the refined art of attack. The Uchiha slammed his open palm down on the table in frustration, causing several nearby people to jump in shock at the noise
"Dammit..." He said under his breath, everything he had read, every word claimed that genjutsu would be impossible to use without hand seals, that there was no way the chakra could be properly concentrated and focussed. Midaru rose to his feet quickly with a frown on his face, he turned away from the pile of books which he had collected over the days and stormed through the building towards the exit, his mother must have lied to him, perhaps she had done this just to mess with him, there was no proof that genjutsu could be used just through eye contact. He would confront her, with everything he had learned and demand the true answer, he needed to know now, he had had a taste of the power and now he would not let it go, he had to find out the secret behind sealess genjutsu.
Midaru walked into his home to find his mother in the kitchen, much as he had done the first time he had come to see her about this very subject. "You lied to me" He stated simply to her back, the raven haired kunoichi slowly turned to her son with an ill-hidden smile playing on her lips, she leant back on the counter and folded her arms before her chest. "So, I take it your research didn't go the way you planned?" She asked in a satisfied voice. Midaru's anger and frustration built within him "Everything I read, every single scrap of parchment pertaining to genjutsu only gave evidence to condemn using illusions without hand seals as impossible!" He exclaimed and his mother smiled widely "So you feel that you understand genjutsu now?" She asked "Of course, I've just spent the last three days constantly researching it" He said, his voice shook slightly under the irritation of his mother's questioning.
"I see, then maybe you can tell me how one initiates a genjutsu?""After manipulating one of the target's five senses through a 'trigger' the user has then basically caught their opponent in the illusion and has a large amount of control over what the target will now experience" He said this as if it was memorised from a book...Which it was "I'm surprised you havn't heard the legends of our clan Midaru, most if not all the Uchiha at your level at least know of the ability to cast genjutsu without selas...Perhaps you are just ignorant?" Midaru now shook with anger, but he knew better than to antagonise his mother, as weak as she looked, she was a ninja of no small ability, he slowly edged over to the kitchen table and sat himself down. "I did what you asked...Now teach me...How do I cast genjutsu without hand seals?" ~ _________________
IC:~ It took a whole day for the youth to understand the principle behind his mother's teachings, to truly get to grips with what she told him. But eventually, finally, he fully understood and now he was ready to take on possibly the greatest aid that came with the Sharingan.
The night had long since fallen on Konoha, causing everyone to fall back to their own little housings for the night. But two people, both with jet black hair remained, they had work to do and power to achieve. The smaller of the two would have been invisible amongst the shadows were it not for his burning red eyes which glared out into the darkness at the taller of the two. "Remember what we discussed Midaru" The woman would say and a chortle could be heard from the younger "Of course" At that point the sharingan eye began to spin or so it would seem to Shinmei, faster and faster till the tomoe were but a blur in the sea of red, The woman's body began to feel heavy, she fell to a knee, still staring at the eye as it ever intensified her condition causing her eyelids to slowly fall over her eyes. The Uchiha woman's head drooped and her body fell to the floor, she was unconscious and Midaru smiled, it appeared he had mastered another secret of the clan, a powerful secret indeed. His deep red eyes suddenly faded from view as black took over his iris and his figure moved towards the woman who was slumped on the floor, he lifted her into his arms and made his way back to their home, she would needed this rest.~ _________________
