Having sucessfully completed his training on, Tamotsu had enjoyed some time alone. However, it wasn't until he began to get the itch for training again, that he found himself in the Memorial Grounds. He had mastered Tree Climibing. The next step for him was to train how to walk on water. Having the ability would prove useful in the long run since he did not rely on weaponry as much as he though he should. Having Jaken, however, was all he needed.

He walked to the grounds and looked for a nearby lake in which to practice on. He had his scroll from before.

The next important Jutsu to learn is the Art of Water Walking. This ability is the same as Tree Walking. However, it's application is performed slightly different. Where as a tree is solid, water is consistantly changing. So keeping Chakra at a set level will not help. In order to perform this properly, one must constantly keep chakra flowing and shift it to balance properly. Being able to perform this shows great control and will help in battles that must be fought off the ground and in the sea.

"Damn. Sounds difficult. But it needs to be learned." Tamotsu said as he looked over to Jaken who had fallen asleep. "Let's begin."

He put his hands together and closed his eyes. "Ram!" He did the seal and began collecting chakra. He opened his eyes and walked out over the lake and instantly fell in. He began padding around like a dog until he finally found himself back on land.

"Okay... I guess... there's more to it." He sighed.

Having failed at his first attempt, Tamotsu dried himself off for a few moments before returning to his training. He sighed as he looked at the water which was now his new challenge.

"I thought the tree was bad but this water walking business is harder. I have to keep a constant flow and then even it out to keep balanced and afloat. If not, it's down into the water and back out to try. This would be easier if someone taught me how to do it."

Tamotsu sighed and walked back to the side of the lake. He put his hands together and did the ram seal. He began to focus chakra to his feet. They began to glow softly around his feet. He walked out slowly towards the lake. The instant his foot touched the water he felt his foot hover over it for a split second. As he took a second step he fell in again and cursed at the lake.

"I need to find the trick to it. There's gotta be away to make the proper balance to it." Tamotsu said as he walked out from the lake to dry himself off again.

After drying off a second time, Tamotsu looked over the scroll to see if it would provide a clue as to what to do. But upon inspection, he found nothing. He found the same words and growled.

"Stupid Scroll. It's good for something and bad for others. There's no short cut other then to learn how to control my chakra better."

Tamotsu took his place by the lakeside and nodded. He put his hands together and did the ram seal and began collecting chakra to his feet.

"I have to be able to know when to shift the chakra for balance." Tamotsu said as he began to walk out on the water. His foot held for a moment.

"Okay... shift it to balance right...."

He took another step forwards and held up on the water. He struggled a bit to stay afloat with his two feet on the water. He stood still trying to see how long he could hold. He took another step forward but fell in.

"Almost." He sighed as he swam back.

By this time, Jaken had awoken and Tamotsue had dried himself off by baking in the sun. He sighed a bit and looked out to the water.

"I managed to hold it. But I need to be able to hold it while walking forward. That's the tough part. The constantly shifting surface makes it harder to balance and make the right amount of chakra." Tamotsu sighed.

He stood up once more and took his place at the lake side.

"Concentrate and collect chakra." Tamotsu closed his eyes and focused slowly. Soon after his feet began to glow the familiar subtle blue and he walked forward on to the water. His first step kept him afloat. He took a second step and remained afloat. He stopped and began contemplating while he tried to focus.

"If I move I have to keep myself afloat by making the right amount of chakra. To do that I have to study the movement to get it right."

Tamotsu studied the movement while keeping afloat a moment. He took another step forward and it held. "Got it!" He smiled as he walked a bit more. 4 more steps and then he lost his footing and fell in. He swam back and sighed.

"Okay... close but need to get better."

Tamotsu dried off and returned to Jaken who licked his hand. He smiled a bit and pet the wolf and then looked back at the lake. He reflected on what he studied about the water and what had helped him hold up.

"The water isn't solid and moves constantly. So in order to make it on the water I have to be able make the same affect for my chakra in reverse. That way there's a constant balance.

Tamotsu walked back to the lake and repeated his process of putting together his hands. He did the seal once more and collected chakra to his feet. He walked forward on to the water. He stumbled a bit when he took his first step but quickly found himself getting back up. He took another step and smiled when he didn't sink just yet.

"I need to keep it up." Tamotsu concentrated more and took a few more steps. He tried to apply his theory and it worked for several steps until he fell into the water again. He slammed hsi fists into the water but calmed down and swam back.

Not wanting to lose what he had gained from his last trip out, Tamotsu went right back to work. He didn't allow himself to dry off. He stood by the lakeside and closed his eyes. He did the seal once more and began collecting chakra to his feet.

"Keep the balance and make sure it flows like the water does. If I can hold it out that long then I'm set."

Tamotsu stepped out on the water and took his initial steps. He held his balance for the first few steps.

"Make the flow happen properly." Tamotsu said as he took another few steps. As he did, he became more confident and took more steps. "It's working!" He said as he began walking around without fear. He kept his balance and smiled. "Sweet! I did it!" He laughed as Jaken barked happily for him. He ran around on the water and laughed happy for his accomplishment.

(OOC: Genjutsu Kai Training 1)

Tamotsu sighed as he looked about. "What's point of being a Chuunin if I'm not strong enough to be out on my own? I can't even defend against Genjutsu yet!" Tamotsu sighed as he slumped against a tree and waited the day away. Despite his big accomplishment og Water Walking, he felt empty.

"I need someone who could help me learn to release Genjutsus." Tamotsu said as he closed his eyes. When he opened them, there was a figure of a man who appeared before him. The man walked closer but upon inspection, he had transformed into a demon.

"Jaken!" Tamotsu yelled out but he heard nothing. He looked around and could not see his wolf companion anywhere. The demon flew towards him and punched him in the stomach woth resounding force. Tamotsu spat up some blood and fell to his knees. When he looked up, the demon was gone and replaced by an old man who was smiling.

"I could help you learn to break genjutsu if you like." The man smiled.

Tamotsu heard Jaken's familiar barking now and he looked at the ground below him. There was no blood. It was as he thought. In his moment of rest he had begged for something and it found him in the most cruel of ways.

"How can you teach me to break Genjutsus? " Tamotsu asked the man who smiled softly.

"That's a simple matter boy. To break genjutsu one soley needs to cut off their chakra flow momentarily and then call it forth in one blast. It will break it immediately. You could also cause yourself physical pain but that's a bit much and I don't think you want to harm yourself." The man smiled.

"No, I'm pretty sure I don't want to. So then, how does one stop the flow? It's not like it's easy to will your chakra to stop." Tamotsu looked at the man who disappeared. "What the hell?"

As he did, Jaken's barking ceased and the wolf too disappeared. The sky went dark and Tamotsu could hear a deep evil laughing.

"Learn to control it or die." A cold voice said as Tamotsu gulped hard and looked about. His fears ran and he began to panic.

"Uh, okay! Uh..." He put his hands together and began focusing.

"I need to stop the flow. I need to be able to control it enough to stop." He thought as he tried his hardest to concentrate on breaking it off. As he did, the demon appeared and smacked him hard intp a tree. Tamotsu took the brunt of the blow and yelled in pain.

"Shit... this is... serious..." He growled to himself.

Tamotsu stood up as the world around him went dark. He began to shake a bit in fear. He put his hands together and closed his eyes. "I need to focus on myself. I can't let anything disrupt me. I need to learn how to break this thing. If I don't..." Tamotsu thought of Jaken a moment. "I can't let my best friend down."

He tried to focus but the screeching noise he knew to be that of the demons began to pierce his ears. He pulled his hands away and covered his ears. The screech was was loud and he swore his ears were going to shatter. "Damnit... what the... hell is that!?" He pulled his hands away and the sheer loudness of the noise exploded as he put his hands together.

"Fo...cus..." He grunted as he began to focus the best he could. He was in pain. He wasn't sure if it was real or not but he knew it hurt. He opened his eyes and saw several demons flying around him. "Need to... break this..." Tamotsu tried as hard as he could but fell pray to a stray punch.

(OOC: GK Training 4)

Tamotsu flew back and stood up slowly again. This time his knees wobbled a bit as he bled from his mouth a bit softly. He began panting hard and coughing. He held his stomach and winced with one eye closed. He looked about and saw the demon grow in size. His eyes opened up in fear.

"No one can save you... BUT YOURSELF!!" The demon roared as it smacked Tamotsu across the darkness into something solid. He yelled out in pain as he tried to get up. He held his side which was now bleeding slowly. His body was beginning to wear out from the abuse it had been receiving.

"I need to... find a way to focus enough to make a simple cut and blast." Tamotsu said as he released his side and put his hands together. He closed his eyes and began trying to stop all his chakra from flowing. Slowly he felt the chakra slowing it's flow and he slowly opened his eyes. "Release!" He yelled releasing what he held back.

He looked around. Things had returned to normal. Tamotsu sighed and smiled a bit. "I did it."

"Not quite." The demon appeared out of thin air in front of Tamotsu and grabbed him by the throat and began choking the life out of him slowly. Tamotsu began kicking in struggle but to no avail. The demon laughed and threw Tamotsu back. The world made it's slow progress back into pure darkness.
