Sasori stepped into the cave and out of the hot sun, stedding his excess baggage. It had been a real chore lugging all of this out here, and even more of a chore finding the cave. It had been buried by a sandstorm, and had he not known the exact location, he would never have found it. It was almost literally in the middle of nowhere.
He unpacked most of it, setting up the screen at the entrance to the cave to keep most of the sand out. He loved the wind, but hated what the wind brought when in the desert. Most of the stuff he brought was sealed within scrolls so that he could carry more. He brought out the cot and bedding, along with the food and water. He had enough supplies to last him for two weeks still, and it would take only two days to get back home. That meant he could stay out here for twelve days, though he seriously doubted that would be necessary.
Next he pulled out a large wardrobe that, unfortunately, was going to be left behind. After all, he couldn't seal, only unseal. The wardrobe was filled with clothing, spare weapons, and medical supplies, should he require any. He planned on hunting desert scorpions for part of his training, so he had plenty of every antidote that might be necessary.

OOC: No, it was kinda an opener. I was expecting .5 at the most, if any.
IC:
Day 1
Sasori started off with ranged weapons. He only had half the day left, and he wanted to get a great deal done. It was with great pleasure that he stepped back out into the wind. By now the winds had lost their fervour and no longer held a lot of sand. He relished the feel on the breeze across his skin for a few moments, then pulled out three more scrolls and unsealed the training dummies.
They were fully outfitted with typical ninja garb, allowing for full training effect. He planted each one deeply, as the sand didn't hold anything well unless pressurized, which he wasn't capable of doing. Each dummy had its own purpose too. One was for physical combat, and was more durable, one was for ranged combat, and was somewhat smaller to provide a more difficult target, and the third was for jutsu practice, having metal plates installed to give it staying power against his powerful wind jutsu.
He pulled out two kunai first, throwing them both at the appropriate target. Each one glided almost silently through the air before striking the torso. They had not gotten perfect hits, but he was out of practice with those. Next, he pulled out a pair of his fans, quickly opening them as he tossed them. They weren't as quiet as the kunai, but they were faster and they sliced the dummy as they dug into the two arms. Razor fans were excellent weapons because they didn;t just stick in, they shredded.
The arms had nearly been severed, though the fans wouldn't cut through the bone of a normal ninja. Still, they would do a great deal if thrown properly. He pulled out two more and threw them, and each one arc'd out gracefully and came back in at the neck. The head fell clean off, and he was a bit disappointed that it was made of inferior wood.
Having assured himself of his ranged accuracy, he moved on. Next up on the list of exercises was Taijutsu. This was an area where he didn't quite excel, but was hoping to improve upon. He first extended the blades fo his Tekagi, and ran in. At the last moment, he used Suna Shunshin to appear behind the target, the sand flying into the front and his blades digging into the back. He would have to remember that manoeuver later, as it had just come to him.
He launched a second and third slash at the back, tearing new grooves even though the dummy was more durable. He had made sure to sharpen the blades, so when he made a downward slash at the head it tore open three huge gouges. He was getting stronger from waving his giant fan around so much. It weighed quite a bit, and his arms had to be strong to wave it more than a few times.
Next he retracted the blades and fired off a series of fast kicks at the dummy. Each one was on target, and he knew his problem wasn't accuracy, it was power. So he spent the next fifteen minutes launching his strongest kicks at one spot. If he managed to break an arm off in those fifteen minutes, he will have improved not only his physical power but his running speed too. He alternated legs, and when one arm broke off, he knew the other would follow suit.
And it did. The next kick broke off the second and sent it flying several feet. He was pleased with the result to say the least, and he silently congratulated himself on success. He didn't pause long though, and soon he was back to combat with his unmoving target. He launched a rapid succession of fifty punches, hitting a different target dead on each time. It was clear that, like with his kicks, power was what he lacked with his punches.
So he improvised. If He couldn't break bones and tear muscle with his punches, he would have to find another way. This time, when he launched his punch, his fist was loose. As his hand, wrapped in a leather glove, came within inches of the target, he closed his fist tightly, making sure to press the release. The release for the Tekagi blades that was. The blades extended and sank deep as his fist connected with his target. A normal ninja would likely have been in great pain after the serrated blades of his Tekagi exited.
Satisfied that he had solved the problem of power, Sasori moved on to the third dummy. It was set well apart from the other two, for very good reason. His wind jutsu covered a very large area when they were in effect. He pulled his fan out of the holding strap, and brought it to bear. He molded chakra into it as he swung it in a huge arc, gathering a great deal of wind. The blades of wind and chakra swiled and twisted as they homed in on the target. Each one did its part to cut op the outside, and there were even large dents in the metal plates.
Little could simply stand up to the power of his wind jutsu. He next molded chakra into the fan in a different way, using less, and swung the fan so as to kick up a massive amount of sand, almost like one of the natural sandstorms. He pulled his fan back a third time, and yet again molded chakra to create a huge razor wind. He swung the fan, blowing away the rest of the sand in the air and cutting up the dummy some more. This time, some of the metal plates had been actually cut up, making Sasori wonder just how far he had actually come. When he faced Suzak, he would have been lucky to wound the kid with this attack.
The sun was going down now. It was stinging his eyes so badly that he decided to go inside and eat, then sleep. The night was short but cold. Even the fire he set at the entrance to his cave would do little to keep the cold at bay. He could only hope he had brought enough bedding to preserve his body heat until morning. _________________ Hyuuga Malekith

Day 2
Sasori awoke warm and well. His bedding had obviously been more than sufficient, as he saw he had thrown off two of the four blankets during the night. He hastily ate his breakfast, then got right to it.
He looked at his schedule, and chakra control was first this day. Chakra control was something he felt he needed to practice with, as his was already above average, but he knew also that if he didn't practice, he would get sloppy. He sat down cross-legged just outside his cave, enjoying the feel of the soft wind upon his face for a few moments before starting.
First he formed the Hitsuji hand seal, then molded chakra in and around his body. The chakra flowed instantly where he wanted it, and when it flowed around, there was very little lost. He controlled it very well, sending it constantly in different directions. Ths suna genin was learning how to better control his chakra by doing this, learning the different pathways and more efficient routes. He made the flows go constantly faster and slower, and he was starting to break a sweat from the mental focus required.
On and on it went. Sometimes he simply sped up his chakra as fast as it would go or slowed it down as much as possible, and other times he made it swirl. For two hours this continued, ending with him losing his focus and his flows returning to normal. He knew he was ready for the next part.
He pulled out one of his last scrolls from the wardrobe. He brought it outside and opened it fully, then broke the ten seals. From each seal emerged an orb. These were no ordinary orbs though, as they had been designed specifically to help increase chakra control. Sasori would have to channel chakra into ten points with perfectly even flows, and force them all towards the center. If he managed, the orb would glow red briefly, then vaporize.
He took the first orb in both hands, spacing his fingers as far apart as eh comfortably could, then started off. He quickly molded chakra, and after ten seconds, something the salesperson had not told him about happened. He got zapped. It wasn't a powerful zap, and it didn;t hurt much, but it had been unexpected. Sasori figured it was statci built up, and picked up the dropped orb and started again.
Once more, after ten seconds, the orb zapped him. It must have been something installed for incentive to complete it. Apparently, after ten seconds fo failure, the orb zapped the user and cut the flows. Each time this happened, Sasori would have to start over. And that he did, trying another eight different flows before the orb glowed yellow and vaporized. He figured it was out of power then, since it had not glowed red.
He picked up the next one, and tried the ten times alotted to it. He failed miserably each time, and he didn't understand why. He was sure there were no more flows to try, when he thought of the new ones he had just learned. The next orb zapped his eight times before it glowed red and disappeared. Unfortunately, Sasori was so excited he had forgotten the flows he used. So he tried again and again, going through five more orbs before finally figuring it out again on the tenth.
Now that he had successfully done it again, and because he was out of orbs, he was going to move on. Then he discovered that the sun had fallen low in the sky, and that the pursuit he had decided unimportant to try had taken up his entire day. Still, he was not discouraged as he lay in his bed. There was plenty of time for other things in the days to come.
OOC: There, I worked on growing stronger, and described it pretty well I think. _________________ Hyuuga Malekith

Day 3
Sasori was awoken this time by a facefull of sand. A storm had decided to kick up in the early hours, and it was a fierce one. He spat out the sand, cursing the sand that accompanied the magnificent wind. It was all Sasori could do to get the entrance to his cave sealed up before any more of his belongings were covered with sand, but some damage had been done already. One of the wardrobe doors were open, and more than half of his antidotes were laying broken on the floor.
Fortunately, the universal antidotes were, amazingly, all intact, and he closed the door quickly, this time latching it. He had been complacent leaving it unbarred, a mistake he would not soon repeat. Those medicines had been very valuable, and they didn't just grow on trees. Some of them had taken weeks to make, making them all the more expensive.
He decided to cut his losses there rather than go through the strenuous effort of trying to salvage them. He could always buy more, and right now he had training to do, even in a storm. Actually, this storm was the prefect opportunity for him to test his chakra capacity. Using wind jutsus in these conditions would not only in crease his physical strength, but would force him to use larger amounts of chakra to get any results.
He prepared himself, then stepped outside into the now full-tilt storm. He figured he would try a half-powered Daikamaitachi no Jutsu and see where that got him, before increasing the power. This he did, and such was the ferocity of the storm that there was very little effect. Still, he had figured this storm was that strong, and he tried three quarters power. The resistance against his fan from the wind was great, but he forced it and the jutsu worked.
The result was a small break in the storm in front of him before it continued on. So next he increased to full power. The storm was getting worse, and the resistance was so great this time that he had to use every ounce of strength in his arms to pull it off, but he managed to and there was quite a gap before it came on strong again. He did this again, his muscles working to move the giant fan through impossibly strong winds.
It was almost as if the winds were unnatural. He had never felt winds so amazingly over-bearing except in a twister, which he could tell this was not one of those. The moon HAD been full the night before, but even the day after a full moon he had felt no such winds. He had no time to think of this now though. He pulled the fan back one more time, and heaved with all his might against his worthiest foe to date. This was a new level of power to his jutsu, and he relished in the feeling of the winds leaving his fan as he did it five more times. Each time was more difficult than the last, and each time his muscles protested loudly that they could take no more.
Finally, he stopped. He sat down upon the sand, crossing his legs and refolding his fan. It wouldn't do to have one of his most precious possessions fly away on him. He tucked the long fan underneath his knees, then focused on himself. He was now facing away from the wind so that the sand wouldn't get in his eyes. He realized he had probably used over half his chakra and most of his stamina doing that exercise. Luckily for him, eating always restored his stamina, and he pulled out a large piece of jerky and ate it slowly, savouring every bite.
Once finished the tasty if somewhat dry meal, the genin from Sunagakure stood up. The winds were still very strong, and he had no choice but to give up his former exercise or have no stamina left for his later exercises. Having come to this realization, he went inside and resecured the covering over the one entrance to the spacious cave, then walked over to the wardrobe. Thankfully he had other training to do, and he pulled a book out of a bag of books he had never read before. This one was about the tactics of a great shinobi from Kumogakure, and it described in depth his greatest strategies and counter-strategies.
Sasori read this for three hours, delving fully into different scenarios and what this man would do in those situations. After this, he kept reading for another thirty minutes, but was now testing himself, trying to determine the plans for each situation. He did every single one of them flawlessly, assuring him that reading further would serve no purpose except to waste time. That was time that he hated to waste, so he peeked outside.
The winds had died down considerably, and there was a huge mound of sand at his makeshift door. He pulled the covering completely aside and swung his fan at full power, clearing away the buildup as if it were nothing more than air. It seemed his training had paid off more than anticipated. He re-folded his fan and stepped out, once again enjoying the feel of the wind, this time without nearly as much sand. Truly though, he didn't stand there long. He didn't have a whole lot of time for training, and he dearly hoped he could get to where he wanted by the time his supplies ran low.
Sasori had grabbed two shots of antidote before coming out, as it was now getting dark and the scorpions would be coming out. He set out from his cave, remembering his trail perfectly lest the wind blow over his tracks, a statistical inevitability. He stalked the night, moving silently over the smooth sands. His footsteps became lighter and lighter as he went, and soon only a few grains of sand stirred at his passing.
Finally, he came upon his first prey, and what a find it was. A Black Hairy Scorpion, the most deadly scorpion that existed. Its poison was very fast-acting, so he had to be be very careful. Even a tiny prick from the stinger could be lethal, so he kept his senses sharp as he crept up and snatched the thing by its tail. Unfortunately, it knew that it was about to die, and as it clung to life it managed to get the small amount of tail at the tip around to strike at Sasori. Unfortunately for it, though, Sasori had been ready, and its tail met nothing but metal as a razor fan intercepted its final attack.
The genin hunted for another two hours, capturing another ten scorpions. After this he trekked back to his cave and took out a bowl, setting the dead scorpions beside it. He milked the poison out of the eleven large specimens, mixing them all and scraping the contents into a small vial. There was only a little bit there, enough for perhaps five senbon, but it was a powerful poison. He was very happy with his accomplishments, and he went to sleep happy. _________________ Hyuuga Malekith
