The two old friends moved swiftly through the odd scenery of the summon world, no matter how much time he spent here Yasuo could never get used to the way it looked, for starters the sky was a light purple with blue clouds. This was strange by itself but with a large red moon it looked much more eerie "Strange..." The Tsuchikage murmured to himself and quickened his pace to get behind Leo who chuckled. Within minutes they were sat in the Horse Lord's large stable, Yasuo was sat at the table whilst Leo was preparing food, the sage was obviously agitated, he was sat on his knees with his hands on his lap, he absent mindedly gripped the lower half of his robe. Leo turned and noticed this "You seem bothered Yasuo, I understand you want to get to training quickly, so do I, but you can't do it on an empty stomach. Do you remember when you tried that last time? I almost didn't get you before you turned into a horse statue" He chuckled and placed two plates out on the table, one before Yasuo and one for himself, the Tsuchikage looked down at the food, but as hungry as he was he couldn't eat. "Tell me more about this technique, Leo" He said and the Horse Lord sighed "I can see you won't eat till I tell you...Very well" Leo shifted into a slightly more comfortable position and fixed his gaze on Yasuo "Genryujin is the 'Release of the Dragon King' and it is less of a technique...More of a gift only given to a select few individuals throughout the course of time Leo paused and Yasuo piped up, curious "Who else knows of Genryujin? Who mastered it?" He asked "No one." Leo stated simply as Yasuo looked at him confused "You'll be the first person in the history of the shinobi world to wield this power Yasuo. To tell you the truth I didn't believe it existed until a few weeks ago" The horse said and went back to his food but Yasuo still didn't touch his, he was confused "How could you not have believed it existed?" The horse laughed "Well you didn't know it existed till I told you did you? Now eat your food" The kage smiled and began to wolf down his food.

Yasuo was woken early the next morning by Leo "Wake up Yasuo, we have to start early" The two set out from the stable after a short breakfast, looking up to the sky Yasuo could see that it was nor a bright yellow and the sun a deep blue, no, he would never get used to it. After a few minutes they came to a large stone with a strange symbol at its centre. Leo turned to face the young kage "Yasuo, I told you a bit about Genryujin last night, but I did not tell you everything" The horse paused and Yasuo's brow creased "What is it Leo?" He asked, agitated "The name...It isn't just a pretty ascetic, it really is the power of the strongest dragon who ever lived; Ryujin the god of all dragons. I have to warn you that if you pursue this goal then you might die, the power could be too great, this is why no one has ever wielded it before you, the moment they attempted to they were destroyed by the power of Ryujin. So, will you take the risk?" The horse watched Yasuo closely. The Tsuchikage was surprised to hear the risks involved with the jutsu...Death...He was not new to the prospect of dying, but it suddenly seemed much more real than it ever had before, this technique could really kill him, it was hard to believe. But what choice did he have? He was the Tsuchikage, no matter how real the threat of death, he had to put his people and village before himself, the kage reaffirmed himself and stared into the horse's eyes "I have no choice Leo" He said slowly, steady "You told me that I would die if I did not learn the technique...If I run away then my village will be destroyed, I can't let that happen!" Yasuo said determined, he was not going to let Leo's precognition come true. The horse would have smiled if he could "Very good, now then come with me" As he said this the horse's hand lit up with a light golden chakra which he pushed into the centre of the seal on the stone. Yasuo watched as before his eyes a large oval shaped hole appeared and the horse simply stepped through. The Tsuchikage was confused, but followed.

As Yasuo stepped through the 'portal' the very first thing he noticed was the heat, it was as hot as a sauna and the two were outside. Yasuo breathed heavily, the humidity was difficult to cope with and it was hard to breathe, a cold sweat started over the kage's body. "Why is it so hot?" He gasped and the horse who was not having an easy time either turned to face his companion "This is the Land of the Dragons, the sky has long been scorched red by their flames, and the entire landscape has become black under aeons of ash" Yasuo looked around, this area certainly seemed to be completely black and the sky was definately a deep crimson of flame. "So where are all the dragons then?" He asked and the horse grunted "All the dragons are dead, they killed each other in a civil war hundreds of years ago, they've been extinct for almost as long as I remember" Yasuo's eyes widened "I had no idea you were that old!" He exclaimed to which the horse merely grunted again. "Come, we've got a long way to go and it will only get hotter" The kage sighed and followed the horse as he set off, he seemed to know where he was going but the sage had a hard time believing that when everything looked exactly the same to him.

After hours of silent walking the two came to a huge cave at the base of the largest mountain Yasuo could see in this desolate, barren wasteland. By now the kage was sweating profusely, he had removed most clothing and now just walked in pants and his sandals, having discarded the rest of his clothing against the advice of his guide who had said he would 'need it for later', his white hair stuck to his face and irritated him but wouldn't move. He was now beyond uncomfortable and what was worse was that it seemed to get hotter the closer they got to this cave, Yasuo sat down on the floor with his legs stretched out and panting hard "What's down there Leo?" He asked "This is Ryujin's tomb, he has remained here for thousands, he was the very first dragon and it is because of him that this place is so unbearably hot"[/blue] Yasuo stared at the back of the horse "And we're going to go closer to the source of the heat!?" He asked, dumbstruck [color=blue]"Correct." Yasuo struggled to his feet as Leo began to move into the cave, the sage slowly and reluctantly followed as he passed through the entrance of the tomb he insantly understood why he had needed his clothes. As he entered the cave a wave of intense heat hit him, and it didn't go away, he could feel his skin burning on his body and he winced in pain "Leo...?" He breathed "Don't lose sight of the goal Yasuo!" Came a quick reply and the kage nodded, he knew what he had to do, what he was here for, any amount of pain was worth it to save his beloved village.

The two slowly made their way through the cavern, the heat only became more intense as they moved further inside and Yasuo's skin was turning more and more red and painful but he continued on with the thought of Iwagakure and his people in mind. It took close to an hour to make it through the complicated maze of tunnels, it was pitch black and neither could really see, nor could they touch the walls and both Leo and Yasuo now sported several painful burns from this lesson. But eventually they came to the source of the heat, as they came closer a light could be seen, illuminating their path, following the light the two came to a huge room, big enough to house a small city, but also the hottest place Yasuo had ever visited, his skin now began to blister from the heat. In the centre of the chamber the biggest snake either Leo or Yasuo had ever seen lay curled asleep, it had to be at least 600 metres long and its body was about 40 feet in diameter. But no, this was no snake. "Ryu...Ryujin...The Dragon god!"

The Tsuchikage stared at the huge beast before him, simply atounded by the size and magnifficence of the thing, a bright palette of color adorned its hide, golds, greens, reds and blues all over its scales. Yasuo had never seen a dragon though he had heard legends of them and he could say now that the creatures in those old fables paled in comparrison to this majestic beast "How can something be this big!?" He gasped and Leo shook his head, they had both forgotten the intense heat surrounding them even as their skin burnt. Yasuo took a short step back from the dragon, intimidated by its sheer size and Leo chuckled "Don't worry Yasuo, he is quite dead, well the body is anyway" Leo said slowly and the kage's eyes narrowed at his companion "What do you mean; the body?" he asked weakly, without realising it the heat had been draining his stamina and now the Tsuchikage was quite weak "I mean Yasuo, that the body is dead, but the spirit, or soul whatever you want to call it, is still very much alive inside this astounding creature. It is from Ryujin's soul that you will get the power of the god of all dragons" Yasuo's vision now flicked between the carcass and Leo, he pulled a face "Ok Leo, so how do I get the soul? With a fishing net?" He clicked his tongue and Leo grunted "You have to ask Ryujin for his power..." The horse turned from the dragon and stared into Yasuo's eyes "If he refuses then you will die...If he accepts then your body may not be able to handle the power and it will simply be burned away by the Dragon Lord's chakra, but I have faith in you...You aren't like any of the others who came before you for this." Yasuo's eyes slowly moved back to the dragon, its great head facing toward him and looking ready to devour the kage. "What do I do?" He asked quickly and Leo nodded "Place your hand on Ryujin's head and channel some chakra through him" Leo spoke slowly and Yasuo sighed "Right."

As the kage walked closer to the beast he could now feel the heat all over his body, he looked down to his hand and watched as blisters began forming, he had never been exposed to heat like this before in his life, but he continued on, drenched in sweat and exhausted, covered in burns, he let out a cry of pain as the burns spread to his feet, it pained him to even walk. The kage closed his eyes and groaned, perhaps there was a way he could protect Iwagakure without this power? Maybe Leo had been wrong, after all his village had fought off a full scale invasion but even as he thought this Leo surfaced in his head "I saw you die, Yasuo..." The kage's brow creased and he ground his teeth together and balled his fists "Dammit..." He grunted and stared at the dragon before him "Enough! I Need your power Ryujin!" He roared and pelted off towards the carcass, the heat now rapidly built up as he closed in on the dragon, the kage leapt through the air towards the head with both arms outstretched towards Ryujin, as he made contact with the dragon it immediately burned away the skin on his hands, Yasuo roared with pain but still maintained contact, chanelling his chakra into the beast. It slowly began to glow green and Yasuo roared again pushing more and more of his chakra into the dragon "Wake up!" He roared.

That moment the world around the kage disappeared and he was stood amidst black nothingness, he looked around confused and then stared down at his own body, the injuries were gone. "Did I die?" He asked himself slowly and his voice echoed throughtout the nothingness. A deep voice rumbled out in reply to the Tsuchikage's question "No...You did not Die Yasuo Amano" The kage spun round, staring into the blackness searching for the source of the voice but found nothing. The mysterious bodiless entity now laughed at him and he balled his fists "Show yourself!" He bellowed "Very well..." Now, before Yasuo's eyes came a familiar sight, the head of Ryujin appeared before him, gigantic and intimidating with huge gold glowing eyes seperated by long dark slits which served as pupils, indeed the dragon was a great sight to behold. "Ryujin..." The sage breathed and the dragon grunted "I know why you are here young sage..." He spoke in an omnipotent tone "When you gave me your chakra you also told me all about yourself, you are desperate to protect your village...Your loved ones...Do you realise that if you take my power you will likely die, that horse doesn't know the risks, hundreds have tried to claim my strength for their own, even my own kind could survive it. What makes you think you can?" Yasuo's eyes narrowed with determination, he had come so far and he wasn't going to give up now no matter what "I've come so far Ryujin, you know what sets me apart from the rest, I'm claiming this power to help others, not for my own sake. You cannot persuade me otherwise and I will not leave until I have your strength!" Yasuo declared fiercely with fire in his eyes. The dragon god let out a booming laugh and the kage stared at him intensely "Indeed!" He said loudly "Yes you are different...If anyone were to be able to harness my power it would be for the good of others not for selfish reasons...Very well" The darkness around Yasuo began to dissipate and soon he was surrounded by bright white instead "Yasuo Amano, you have proven yourself worthy and now I impart to you, the power of a God" As the dragon spoke these words he disappeared and the bright white suddenly started to glow until it was unbearable for Yasuo to keep his eyes open. Yasuo felt himself lifted into the air and the light turned from a glaring blaze into a warm and soothing light, he watched as from his chest dark arcane symbols spread out over his body, he could feel his hair growing and the strength of the dragon god flowing through him.

The next thing Yasuo knew he was back in Ryujin's tomb, stood over the corpse of the great dragon lord which now began to whither. Yasuo looked down to his hands and saw that the burns had disappeared "Incredible..." He breathed and turned to face Leo who was staring at him wide eyed "Yasuo..." He gasped, staring at the transformed ninja with his much more intimidating appearance, but before he could say anything more the entire mountain began to shake violently, the two stumbled as they were shook about. Huge stalactites fell from the roof of the cavern demolising the ground as it contacted with tremendous crashes "Yasuo! The entire mountain is collapsing! We'll never escape in time!" Leo shouted to the kage who smiled and flexed his fingers "I'm not so sure about that Leo..." He said slowly and chakra exploded around his right hand, he held it toward a wall of the cavern and smirked "White Whorl" He said simply as a huge blast of chakra blasted from his arm and demolished the entire side of the mouontain with a tremendous explosion. Before the dust had settled Yasuo had got hold of Leo and moved out of the mountain through the exit he had just 'created'. The two watched from a distance as the mountain fell to pieces and Leo looked to the kage with wide eyes "So this is the power of a God..." He said slowly, the sage turned and smiled to his companion "Do you think I ca-" But before he could finish his sentance he doubled over to the ground in pain, his hair suddenly turned back to its original length and the markings that had covered his body disappeared, the horse crouched down next to Yasuo with concern in his eyes "Yasuo...You don't have full control over the technique yet, and I fear that even when you do you won't be able to sustain it for very long, no matter how strong you are, the human body cannot sustain a God's power for extended periods of time" The kage looked up to the horse and sighed "It wouldn't be that easy would it?" He breathed and laughed.

Over the next two months Yasuo trained day and night with the technique attempting to perfect its usage, he was somewhat kept in the loop of the ninja world by Leo who told him some of the things going on, including the death of his close friend Katsuo Norimune, the Mizukage. Yasuo was informed that a group of ninja including Inuzuka Tamotsu had attacked the kage and murdered him, that was the day that Yasuo decided to return to the ninja world and when he finally did he discovered his own village in ruin, seemingly destroyed by the leaf village and Tamotsu. Perhaps he had been to late to prevent the destruction that Leo had forseen?
