The young Itichi walked slowly through the village of stone, the one place he had ever called home and yet now he knew of a deiiferent home. His true home. Otogakure no Sato, his birthplace and the stronghold of the Itichi clan, or so it once was, word had reached the ears of all shinobi, Otogakure had been completely destroyed, simply wiped from the face of the earth with no explanation and no plausible cause. Sakumo's brow furrowed as he walked, he imagined the power one must have to cause so much destruction in an instant, and shivered. Sakumo had recently discovered his origin as a member of the Itichi clan, the famed genjutsu masters of the Sound and now he was the unofficial apprentice to the Tsuchikage himself.
When the boy had first set out on the path of the shinobi he had felt pushed into it, it wasn't really something he had wanted but now, with the support of such a great man, his views were quickly changing, he felt motivated and truly wanted to succeed as a ninja, a first for the crimson haired youth, to actually want something. And now, as he trecked along the streets of Iwagakure, Sakumo looked about him to the buildings and homes of the village, the places which had been destroyed again and again yet each time they were rebuilt bigger and better than before. Sakumo looked at the people in the village and watched as they smiled to each other and laughed, he admired them, now for the first time he could truly see what the Academy teachers had told him about; 'The Heart of Stone' the true grit and determination of the stone village, its people's unwavering desire to never give up. The Itichi smiled and picked up the pace, he made a silent vow to himselfl, that he would become the embodiment of the Heart of Stone, that all the villagers tcould look to him one day, and be inspired, but for now, the Tsuchikage was waiting for him.

Yasuo leaned back in the chair of his office as the wind rolled into the room and kept him cool, it had been one week since he had met a promising young genin by the name of Sakumo Itichi by the memorial in the quieter parts of the village. The Tsuchikage sighed, at the moment, this boy knew nothing of the shinobi world, he was an academy graduate but that's as far as his experience goes, Yasuo made a silent vow to himself, that he would show this boy what it really meant to be a ninja of the stone, that he would train him to not only become a great warrior, but a great man. At that moment there was a knock on the door, the sage started, he had been almost falling asleep, the seat was incredibly comfortable. Yasuo cleared his throat with a quick cough and then called to whoever it was on the other side of the door to come in.
Sakumo was nervous as he stepped through the door though when he saw the Tsuchikage's smiling face, he too smiled, the Itichi took a few steps towards his master before making a long bow "Good morning Tsuchi-I mean Yasuo-Sama..." Yasuo laughed as the genin stumbled over his words "I'm glad to see you remembered, that's good" Sakumo straightened his back and smiled again as the Tsuchikage got to his feet "Come Sakumo, we have alot of work to do" The Tsuchikage said and moved out of the office as the genin followed.

After a few minutes of walking the two came upon an old training field which looked as if it had seen much action, there were trees which had been split in half, huge cracks in the earth aswell as large holes in the ground which looked as if a strong katon jutsu had been used to melt it. Sakumo looked around confused, he wondered why the village leader would take him to such a dillapidated old place for training. Yasuo smiled as he turned round to Sakumo "Welcome to my training grounds Sakumo, this is where I come to train myself, as you can see I've used this old place quite a bit" He laughed as he said this and the genin nodded "What kind of training will we be doing here Yasuo-Sensei?" He asked suddenly and the kage's brow raised, Yasuo made a humming noise as he mused over the question
"Well Sakumo, I'd like to test your capabilities, I want to find out some things about you that talking will not tell me. So..." Yasuo lifted a hand to his hat and grinned "...I want you to take this hat from me...If you can that is" He continued and Sakumo's eyes widened in surprise, he could see why the Tsuchikage might want him to attempt this, but he wasn't sure if he would be able to do so. Then the genin remembered something, something from only a short while ago, all those people of the village, with their determination to succeed and thrive. "Well, are you ready?" The young Itichi smirked and dropped into a fighting stance "Yes sensei" Sakumo said confidently as his eyes turned pure white with a single tomoe surrounding each pupil.

Yasuo nodded as the young genin replied with confidence "Very good" He said simply and watched Sakumo prepare himself for battle "Show me what you can do then" Yasuo spoke slowly as the Itichi dashed forwards towards the Tsuchikage with determination in his eyes. Yasuo had only once before encountered a doujutsu, this was almost five years ago now, at the chuunin exams against his old friend, Mizu. Yasuo had come off worse in that battle though it had indeed been close, the Tsuchikage had a feeling this time however that this fight would swing in his favour...Somehow. Yasuo would have chuckled but before he could muster the laugh Sakumo's fist raced towards the kage's jaw, the kage's brow raised in slight surprise, he moved to the left and avoided the strike but as he did so it became apparent that Sakumo had predicted this movement. The Itichi's body twisted in the air and a leg struck out towards Yasuo before he had even stopped moving, "Impressive" the kage thought as he was forced to lift an arm to block the strike. Sakumo grinned as Yasuo blocked his kick, he had anticipated this but he hoped that his next maneuver would prove more successful, the crimson haired youth reached out and grasped the Tsuchikage's forearm, he used this as an anchor to continue his spinning and would reach with his opposite hand for the Tsuchikage's hat. Yasuo had definately not expected this from the little ninja, the fast paced movements and determination of the genin surprised him even after being told by all the academy tutors that Sakumo was different from the others. Now however, the Itichi's hand made it closer to its goal than Yasuo could have expected with Sakumo's fingers trailing accross the material which hung from the back and sides of Yasuo's hat.

The kage's eyes narrowed at the genin and he turned, freeing his wrist from Sakumo's grip and catching the ninja by his flak jacket, flung him about fifteen feet away. Sakumo skidded along the ground as he made contact, kicking up dirt as he went, he managed to retain his balance and looked up to the kage with a furrowed brow. Yasuo looked to the young Itichi with surprise on his face "That was impressive Sakumo...You almost had it" He said with a smile and tapping his kage hat. The Itichi grunted at this and drew himself up to his full height again "So Yasuo-sensei, you think you'll be able to stop me getting that hat if I really want it?" He asked with a grin on his face. At this the Tsuchikage disappeared from sight and reappeared behind the genin with anger in his eyes, Yasuo grasped one of the Itichi's arms firmly and twisted it behind his back whilst with the other hand he took a firm hold on the genin's hair, Sakumo cried out in surprise and pain. "Don't over estimate yourself Sakumo..." Yasuo said darkly "...I said you impressed me but that's no reason for cockiness, an attitude like that will get you killed, now let's continue" The kage continued and released the Itichi from the hold. Sakumo staggered forwards slightly, he rubbed his arm "I can't be bothered with this anymore" He said and his eyes returned to their original red colour. Yasuo was surprised, he had heard that Sakumo had a lazy attitude and a complete lack of motivation but he hadn't expected this.

"You promised me something Sakumo" Yasuo began and the Itichi's brow once more creased with annoyance "I know what I promised, but I don't care, I can become a great ninja without you and without this hassle!" He spat as Yasuo listened, not a sign of emotion on his face "Perhaps..." He said slowly "Perhaps you could become a great ninja without me...But if you always turn away from effort, then you will never succeed, and not just at becoming a ninja but at anything in life. Everything that has worth requires effort, if you run from this then you would be failing your parents would you not? You said you wanted to become a great ninja like them...I can help you, but you have to promise me that you'll not turn away from me." Sakumo's faced panged with guilt as Yasuo mentioned his parents, he felt stupid for acting as he had, like a spoiled brat "I-I'm sorry Yasuo-sensei...I promise you now, I'll never turn my back on this, I know that every ounce of hard work I put in will be worth it in the end...I am a shinobi of Iwagakure, not a little child, I have to act like it!" Sakumo spoke with conviction and Yasuo smiled at his pupil "Good Sakumo...Now I think we'll take a break, you've learned a valuable lesson, and I hope that you won't ever go back on your word" Yasuo placed a hand on the genin's shoulder and smiled pleasantly at the youth "I suppose I'll have to show you some jutsu today...You seem pretty limited with your fighting techniques at the moment" The genin's eyes lit up at the mention of learning a new jutsu and he looked up into Yasuo's eyes with excitement "I'm okay Yasuo-sensei! I don't need a rest!"

Seiko walked into the village, his chest still burning. He was released from the hospital that morning from the severe chest pains he had suffered. As he walked, he could sense Yasuo's chakra signature around and then walked over to find it. As he did, he could see he was training a young ninja and he didn't want to interfere. After the training came to a halt, Seiko sighed and then managed to clear his throat loud enough. He put on a cat mask before Yasuo could see him and then bowed. "Tsuchikage-sama. We have important information." He said as he masked his voice in a newer younger voice.

Both Yasuo and Sakumo turned as the newcomer arrived on the scene, the Itichi frowned as the ANBU spoke and Yasuo nodded then bit his lip. "Looks like we'll have to find another day for your training Sakumo" He sighed and the young genin's face dropped, he had been excited to learn something new from the Tsuchikage but it appeared he would now have to wait again, at least a few days. Sakumo nodded slowly and walked briskly from the scene, leaving the other two ninja alone in the clearing. The sage looked to the ANBU, he had not seen this cat mask before and had not been informed of any new additions. His brow furrowed "I don't recognise your mask, who are you?" He asked steadily.

Seikos's false mask came off as the other ninja left and he smiled softly. "Missed me, kiddo?" He laughed at Yasuo as he walked over to him and lifted him off his feet in a cradle position. He then kisses his lover and walked with him in his arms towards the newly rebuilt Kage's Office. He smiled and tickled softly his lover's belly. "So you wanna go out to dinner for a bit and celebrate our marriage or wanna do some paperwork?" He asked coyly. He laughed as he knew dinner would be the answer but then again Yasuo was kinda different.

Yasuo watched the mask fall away to reveal to him someone he hadn't seen in a longer time than he would've like. The Tsuchikage smiled wide as his lover spoke "You know I did Seiko" He said slowly and laughed as he was taken into the blonde's arms, he couldn't remember the last time someone had held him like this, it was odd, but nice. Yasuo wrapped his arms around the older ninja's neck and leaned into his chest, it had been too long since they had been together and he wondered if Seiko had achieved what he had set out to do.
The two soon arrived at the kage tower and Yasuo dropped down onto his own two feet, he laughed softly and smiled as Seiko spoke. "You're lucky Seiko, I finished the last of my paperwork today to make time to train that young genin. Otherwise I would of course be forced to sit at my desk and work." He joked and stroked a slender finger under the blonde's chin. "Let's go out to dinner, and you can tell me all about this trip" Yasuo said happily.

Seiko laughed as Yasuo said he wanted to go to dinner much like he expected. He then nodded and then took his lover by his waist and walked him back onto his desk. "Before dinner though, I think maybe a little treat is in order?" He smiled as he kissed Yasuo and laid him on his desk. He climbed on top of him and took his clothes. For the next hour he took his treat with passion and then looked at Yasuo as he laid on top of him. "I'm ready for dinner." He said as he laughed softly. He got dressed and then waited. "Let's go. We might get a good spot."

Yasuo laid back on the desk with his head on his hands, he was half dozing when Seiko called him back to reality, his eyes fluttered open. The ninja yawned and laughed as the jounin spoke "Might we?" He asked with a smile and slid himself from the desk, his feet made a soft clap as they hit the floor. The kage spent the next five minutes slowly getting dressed, he was still half asleep and didn't feel like moving quickly. Yasuo did not wear his Tsuchikage robes but instead adorned himself with casual attire, he turned to Seiko and rubbed his eyes softly. "Let's be off then" He said with a smile, he couldn't help but remember the last words Seiko had said to him before disappearing "Have you become stronger? Are you still scared?" He thought and creased his brow as he observed Seiko's smiling face.
