Rin was alone, with no-one to help her, no one to watch over her. She had come to accept that face while in the dark depths of her nightmarish childhood, however in the end she was saved. Without emotion, she stretched in the morning light, feeling the traces of the morning breeze and squeezed her silky strands of lengthy ice blue hair of perspiration. Sadly, this was all that was left for her, and all she could do on the subject was offer a few solemn words.
"This is my life, a life of loneliness. I am alone..." she retorted, jumping from the tree she had made her bed in for that night. Flexing mer muscles nonchalantly, she knew what she had to do, she had to become stronger so she would never cry again, never be abandoned again. Digits pressing outwards, she began by facing the same tree. Chakra began to evenly distribute along her feet as she glanced once more to the tree. Taking a running start, she ran towards the tree, began running up the tree...and then fell flat on her back. Rin immediately vaulted back to her feet, not making a noise of discomfort, and smeared the blood running through her nose. In a sense, she started working through the problem in a tactical problem-solving view and finally had her answer. Renewing her vigor, she prepared once more to climb the tree, pressing wisps of the snowy hair from her face. Determination set upon her face, rin began gathering and dispering her chakra once more. "I am ready..." she retorted, concentrating on the dispersement of chakra along her feet, then dashing lightning-fast towards the tree. She looked ahead, then sailed right up the tree, making sure to apply more chakra as she took each step. Never once did Rin fall while ascending the tree this time around, instead running right up the base until mid point and then jumping up through various odd-spaced branches until she finally reached the very top branch. even then, exhilaration and accomplishment did not fill her in her moment of triumph. She only felt the deep blackness as she remembered the time they beat her with sticks for biting the ear off a patron. Lost to unconsciousness, she collapsed down the tree, hitting several branches before finally falling upon the ground itself and fading once more into the nightmares. She was trapped inside them, she couldn't breath, which was mirrored by the choking of her unconscious body. She cried, screamed, however no one answered her in the false world that was spun by her own demonic past."N...noooo! Stop!"
Once the nightmares faded, she quickly regained consciousness and flipped up to her feet. Looking upwards, she finally decided to give this jutsu one last try, so she quickly distributed the chakra without a forethought as she ran vertically along the base of the three, finishing at last and vaultong from the large tree. She landed a fair amount of distance aside it, and at last, a smile crept up up across her countenance.

Water was the specialty of Kirigakure no Sato, and water had never feared Rin, so this last leg of her basic training promised to be the easiest of the two. Kirigakure had many lakes, however the one nearest to the tree she had been practicing at would do. Coming to the cuspid body of water, she stretched her arms out, and slid off the Zora Sandals. Replacing the sandals were ones more fit for running, that she could more easily distribute chakra across in an even pattern. Once she had got the hang of it, of course she would try with her normal wooden sandals, and with the additional training it would prove to be much easier.
Part One - Running Sandals
"This should be easy..." she replied as she stepped onto the surface of the lake...and made a big splash. Climbing back up to the enbankment, she tried once again, determining to do it this time, and this time when she stepped on to the water's surface, she did not sink...automatically. She began to sink into the water like quicksand with every step and splashed once more into the lake. Finally climbing back onto land, she took a look at what she was doing wrong with analytical perfection and worked out the problem. Adhering chakra to her feet one more time, she walked out onto the surface of the water, and this time did not sink no matter how many steps she took. Hurrying back, she slid the running sandals off.
"I need to dry my clothes when I'm done." Placing the Zora sandals on her feet, Rin faced the small lake once more. Blue chakra spead at first unevenly across the bottom of the sandals, however with practice she began to be able to create the chakra much more swiftly and evenly. Dispersing the chakra, she broke into a running lunge towards the lake, swiftly applying the chakra coating to her feet as she ran headlong. Rin began running on the surface of the water, however a misplaced step resulted in a splash and her failure. She was not enraged, nor disapointed, only determined. Determination was the only emotion Rin had left, and she faced the lake once more with determination. Stepping out onto the lake for the second time, she did not sink, walking all the way to the other side of the lake and finding a solid tree within a few moments.
Rin gathered a bit of drywood and started a fire. She removed her outter layer of clothing, as well as her inner layer and placed them on a drying rack over the fire, then folded herself within some robes as she leaned against the base of the tree. She held Retsu-Yatsumi within her hand, the bladed chain buried in the ground around her in case her sleep was disturbed.
