Appearance:
Rusl comes from a long line of short men and tall women. He is proud to call himself the tallest on the male side in three generations. Five feet and nine inches, nearly a foot larger than average! There was a trade off unfortunately, he isn't nearly as well built. His father and brothers have bulging limbs and trunk like torsos while he resembles a sunflower. His curly blond locks constrict into a dense Afro in the Suna heat and his thin twiggy body frame is like the long stem. Not only that but his fair skin seems to burn perpetually in the desert sun. As awkward as he looks he is still the envy of his vertically challenged brethren. You see it's humiliating for your wife to put things on the high shelf as punishment...
Just because he looks like a twig don't mean he snaps like one. Before his crash course in the shinobi arts he had a penchant for fighting. The abuse hardened his body and toughened him up the way only experience could. His knuckles are crisscrossed in faded white lines, scars from constantly breaking the skin. He has a deep gouge on his upper left arm from a kitchen knife stab via psychotic ex girlfriend. Three missing teeth from the bottom on his right side was a parting gift from a loan shark with brass knuckles along with on pulled out finger nail in his right hand. (the ring finger) Under the left eye is a pretty cool (in his opinion) "X" shaped scar from a nasty head butt he received. Right this moment his right pinky finger is broken in three places and he has yet to notice. Up his right leg on the inner thigh is a burn he got from his father jabbing him with a fireplace poker. Aside from small things here and there that sums up all of his blemishes.
Rusl's face is the one thing that actually resembles the rest of the male family. There are the thin lips that are a little chapped from the harsh sun and arid winds. Also the rich blue eyes and scruffy arched brows. From the wide flat bridge of his nose to the to-big nostrils he looks every bit like his father and brothers.
As for clothing he isn't very picky. He is usually wearing a pair of small brown shorts that come down a few inches above his knees. Aside from that he has nothing besides a pouch for his weapons and a small chain. His sheath less katana is usually tied to his back with some bandage twisted into a rope. Both forearms and hands are tied up in bandage as well as his bare feet. His toes are left uncovered.

He owns your basic katana with no sheath. It was stolen by his grandfather in an act of revenge against his inebriated old friend who cheated him out of a card game. Since then it has been treated like a kitchen appliance and eventually a bludgeoning tool. The five years of abuse has dulled it's edge some but it would still cut with enough force. The handle was a rich blue until his younger brother spilled his dinner on it..now the whole thing is bound in bandages for grip.

Personality:
Rusl lives with a boundless energy not seen in most. He is extremely ambitious in his goals no matter how nonsensical or somber. His ultimate and all encompassing mission is to establish a great ninja clan. He has an intense love for his family and a deep respect for bonds and ties between people. He likes to make friends but his rough and over the top persona tends to scare people off. He is a former petty thief and delinquent but he has cleaned up his act some recently. Still old habits die hard and his ethics are questionable sometimes. Rusl enjoys the thrill of a fight but has a distaste for killing his opponent. He would never strike down a disabled opponent but does not stop himself in the heat of the moment. The rookie ninja possesses a raw talent for drawing though observation and images from within his own imagination. He has a tendency to explain things with illustrated diagrams if he thinks the subject is complex...like how ramen shops make so many noodles or why cereal gets soggy in milk. He treats most people with respect no matter who they may be. His definition of respect however is pretty loose and he could offend people higher up the social ladder unintentionally. Also it's worthy of noting that he is hopeless with the opposite sex. As for how..lets leave it at "everything".

Background:
Rusl had grown up with strong family ties. His mother and father had nine children, him being the 5th to be born. His immediate family was joined with his father's brothers plus the grandparents on the Sagishi side. With the addition of another type of "family" over 40 people lived under one big mismatched roof. Additions to the house had been built each time someone needed a room until it became almost it's own entity.Rusl and his brothers and sisters were popular in the neighborhood as children and remained so as they all matured. It didn't take Rusl long to realize his family was into organized crime with all the strange men in suits, the swords everywhere in the house, and all the "family" with missing pinkies and large grisly tattoos. If it wasn't for his uncle, a loan shark in the area he would have ended up a member of his family's crime syndicate. No matter how badly Rusl wanted in or tried to force his way in the underhanded man would beat him into paste and claim he couldn't join with his "outstanding debt".
It wasn't until he was fifteen and his uncle long dead would he realize what he did for him. He didn't want him to simply fall into the ranks of low lives and crooks like the rest of his family were forced to in the face of hard times. Still he was instilled with an intense love for his family and wanted to give them his best. That desire led to his greatest ambition. Turning the Sagishi name into that of a great ninja clan. Ninja unlike yakuza were respected across the world. However just like yakuza they seem to kill, steal, and do unsavory things for a certain price. With his two hands he would change the path of his beloved family. At 19 he barely passed the gennin exams and is ready to begin on his mission.
Rusl's arsenal, an indepth look.
Rusl isn't very skilled in the ninja arts. He started at a late age and he has no talent with channeling chakra. He couldn't be stealthy if his life depended on it and just about anything else you can think of he is sure to suck at. Except for one thing that is weaponry. Never having any formal training he can pick up a hunk of steel and wield it semi-functionally. With this being his only saving grace his former instructor told him to just collect as much junk..err weaponry as possible.
7 1/2 kunai
-Yes you read right, seven and a half. These rusted and ill-sharpened beauties were bought at clearance price..only slight manufacturing errors! So what if one is missing the handle...it's genuine STAINLESS STEEL...they make forks out of that! He keeps them in a pouch tied to his left thigh.
3 shuriken
-Why only three? ...well these things are expensive! You think shurikens grow on trees? He stashes then in the same pouch on his left side, the small flat circular disks of death, doom, and despair take up less space than his cigarettes.
6 SLIGHTLY bent senbon.
-He has been collecting ruined senbon from training grounds and re-bending them back into shape during his lunch breaks. He claims they will work A-ok! Again they are kept in the left thigh pouch. The small weapons are neatly filed in and bundled in bandage.
Fishing Line Super ninja wire.
-What do you mean you saw this in the bait shop? This is the real deal! 100 feet of deadliness! The wire is wrapped in a children's kite handle and kept in his back pocket.
Tanto
-His youngest brother forged it on the first week of his black smith apprenticeships. He doesn't have the heart to turn down the warped 7 inch blade...at least it's kinda sharp. He keeps this weapon wrapped under bandages on his left forearm on the outside. It has been used mostly to deflect blows and hasn't been unwrapped for combat yet.
Homemade smoke bombs
-Buy those muscle relaxer pads, mix with water, soak in clumped up newspaper,wrap in oil soaked papers, add wick and light. The product is a murky white smoke that does it's job competently..but is smells like an old guy's bathroom. He carries about two on him at any given time despite it's cheapness to produce. The stay in his front pockets..one in each for easy reach.
Nunchucks
-He bought these from an actual store..after learning the hard way rubber bands are NOT the same thing as real chains..no matter how many there are. The pair he has are red with his initials crudely carved in. He has them pulled through a loop on the waist of his pants on the right side.
Caltrops
-The only way these things work is if there are a lot of them..but he was to lazy to make more than one. The single caltrop he did made consists of tree bent nails wrapped around each other. He keeps it in the thigh pouch along with the rest of his ninja gear..he hasn't really found a use for it yet.
Buster Knuckles
- A parting gift from his uncle..the loan shark. When he accidentally sent a guy to his "beloved" nephew to break his fingers for money he didn't actually owe he gave Rusl a nice pair from his collection of knuckles. Of course he couldn't exactly use the things until his hands mended. He has a little chain that he runs through the holes in the dual weapons and hangs them off his left side. The are just below his cramped thigh pouch. Among his many pieces of equipment it's one of his favorites.
You might think "Wow this guy is armed to the teeth" well you would be wrong, he has yet to find a weapon he can use with his teeth. (or has he?)

Added title, rank and element.
I prefer to describe my characters appearance free-form but if it is an absolute must I describe his hair, eyes and ect then I will. I did provide all that information though.
The history also includes a description. I didn't think it would be very convenient for someone reading my profile to check history for information on them.
If you still feel these two issues are important I will change them when I get back.
Also I'm going for pure taijutsu at the moment.
