The two ninja made their way back up to the Northern sector of the village where the population of Iwagakure and their medical ninja were at that moment residing. Yasuo had grabbed a heavy cloak on the way and now disguised himself from the general populace, the last thing they needed to see was him injured, as they moved through the crowds they could hear concerned murmurs and theories as to the huge explosions from Yasuo's fight with Tamotsu. The kage, thankfully was in the know within his village and was privvy to the origin of the explosions "A few unexploded bombs were discovered and destroyed in an unpopulated area of the village..." He thought to himself and smiled lightly.

Finally the two reached a medical station and Yasuo sat himself on a bed to await some attention from a doctor. The sage's vision moved up to Seiko's eye and he smiled to the jounin as his chest was once again filled with that exalted happiness he had felt when the blond had returned at the climax of his and Tamotsu's battle. "Thankyou Seiko..." He said quietly.

Seiko smiled as he looked down at his lover and leaned in to kiss him. He played with his hair and then smiled. "You hurt me when you turned your back on me. It killed me completely on the inside. I was ready to abandon you completely but then when I saw you hurt and about to kill Tamotsu, I couldn't hold back." Seiko said as he began tending his lover's wounds. He smiled softly as he looked at the bruises and sighed. "Tamotsu's probably fully healed by now. I can tell because he hasn't complained about pain since he arrived in Kage no Kuni."

Yasuo eagerly returned the kiss of his lover and then collapsed out on the bed with a heavy sigh of relief as Seiko played with his hair. The sage bit his lip as the jounin spoke "I'm sorry Seiko, I couldn't think straight after..." Yasuo couldn't bring himself to talk of her just yet, she hadn't made it through surgery, he was now the last Amano. "...The only thing that I could get in my head was the safety of the village" He continued with a heavy tone "...I couldn't face losing anyone else, and in doing what I did I drove away the one person I truly loved" Yasuo said and turned his head to the side, stared into Seiko's eyes and took hold of his hand which he now carressed. The sage sighed as Seiko spoke of Tamotsu "He's a surprising man...I've still a lot to learn if I want to match up to him" The sage said this through gritted teeth and balled his free hand into a tight fist as he thought back over the battle "Even though I was going all out I couldn't defeat him" Yasuo took a deep breath and calmed himself.

Seiko looked at Yasuo as he got on the table and kissed him while bent over him. He smiled and then laughed. "He's your opposite. He's powerful because he protects us. You're powerful because you protect us. What he has over you though, is his darkness. When his soul is consumed with hatred and anger, he becomes ungodly strong but his weakness is his friends. People like me and you." Seiko said as he rubbed Yasuo's chest softly as he kissed him. A doctor came in the room and cleared his throat and Seiko jumped and fell off the table.

"Bedrooms are made for moments like that." The doctor chided.

Yasuo took a sharp intake of breath as Seiko mounted him on the table, apparently the jounin had forgotten about the kage's injuries, but then so had the kage himself and at that moment he couldn't notice them. Yasuo listened quietly as Seiko spoke and then smiled "I see...Well I'll never turn to darkness for the sake of power" The kage's brow creased "I suppose I'll have to find another way" he said quietly but there was no time for such talk as Seiko gently rubbed his chest and leaned in to kiss him softly. But at that moment someone else enterred the room and Seiko was so shocked he tumbled from the table and crashed onto the floor loudly.

Yasuo laughed quietly but soon stopped as it hurt his chest to laugh. Yasuo's injuries weren't so severe so it only took the doctor about ten minutes to have the kage well on his way to recovery, it was surprising that he didn't ask how Yasuo got in such a state but he wouldn't bring the matter up. Soon after the man left the two alone again and Yasuo sat on the end of the bed with a good amount of bandaging round him.

Seiko blushed and then left the room while the doctor healed the Kage. He returned when he was done and then gave Yasuo a stern look. "Why did you not talk first to Tamotsu?" He chastised. He sat down beside the Kage and then closed his eyes. "When I told him you hurt me without telling he, he flipped. He was so angry that I could see in his eyes that he was gonna kill you. I had to stop him. Even at the final moment, I could see he had one more attack for you. An attacked that would have killed you." Seiko said as he looked down. "You both scared me. You're both almost the same."

The sage was taken aback by Seiko's outburst, he frowned at the jounin and jumped down from the bed, testing out his newly repaired ankle before looking back up into the blond's face. "From where I stood there was no room for talk between us, that fight had to happen sooner or later." Yasuo spoke slowly as he saw that Seiko was annoyed with him, and worried at the same time, the kage stood before him, listening silently as he spoke. He wasn't at all surprised that Tamotsu had another attack for him even in that moment of final triumph. "I wouldn't have expected him to go down so easy...But don't be so worried about me, I looked in a much worse state than I actually was" Yasuo's eyes snapped to the back of Seiko's head as he spoke his next piece "You think us similar?" He asked, surprised. "We're complete opposites, you said so yourself. Even if there are parallels the differences are clear." Yasuo spoke as if reciting something he had memorised and his brow creased as he began a slow walk around the room, making sure his ankle was fine.

Seiko stopped and then sighed. "You are like him. You have that spark right now that says you're innocent but look at how far you went just to kill him. You didn't have any remorse." Seiko said as he stood up and then looked away. "Tamotsu was once weak. Far weaker then he is now and he was constantly beaten. He would always look at me and say don't worry, I'll get stronger. And I believed him. But then I watched as defeat after defeat and lose of each person in his life made him darker. Remember, he lost his mother and father, much like you." Seiko said as he attempted to leave.

The kage didn't respond as the jounin spoke to him of Tamotsu, what he said was true, he had decimated a portion of Iwagakure just to destroy the man and in the moment he had not thought anything of releasing such power upon his enemy on his own soil. Yasuo's eyes were fixed on the floor and he did not move an inch as Seiko rose and continued to talk, it was strange to hear of Tamotsu as a weak young child when he was now such a powerful man. At the mention of Tamotsu's mother and father however Yasuo looked up to the jounin who then turned to leave, for a second the sage did not move to stop him, but then in an instant he was stood behind him with his chest against Seiko's back and his arms wrapped round his torso "Whatever similarities there are, we are two different people, and I promise you, I will never give in to the dark..." Yasuo whispered into Seiko's ear, his new height placed him only a few inches shorter than the jounin. He rested his chin on Seiko's shoulder, strengthened his hold on the blond and breathed in his scent "Please don't go again Seiko..."

Seiko felt the Kage's arms around him and then he closed his eyes and sighed. "I've heard that promise, Yasuo. I've heard it so many times before. I can't see it fail once more. So swear your life to it. Swear on your love to me that you won't. Because if you do, I will kill myself in front of your eyes." Seiko said darkly as he looked ahead and then looked at his wedding ring. "I swore an oath to protect you. But its your power that protects me from all the evils of this world." He said as he rubbed his lovers arms.
