"Alright everybody, that's enough!" Shima yelled at the class of 12 year olds, probably a bit too loud. The Iwa Chuunin sighed, he was not cut out to be the academy teacher. The twenty something kids had all been laughing at one of the kids that had been unable to preform a Henge jutsu correctly, causing his nose to look like it had grown two feet instead. Shima stood next by the kid who was having trouble, and tried to help him.
"You're concentrating too hard on just doing it, you need to imagine it happening gradually not all at once. Try working from the head down to the feet." The kid swallowed nervously, and mutted, "Yes, Konseigo-sensei."
This time, the academy student had little problem transforming his likeness into that of the first Tsuchikage of the Stone Village. Shima offered a rare smile, "Allright, that's good, class is out for today, don't get into trouble, kids."

As Shima left the stuffy enclosed classroom and begun walking outside he was glad his last day at the school as a teaher was over. The head teacher had been hurt on a mission, and they needed a substitute and because Shima had not been doing any missions he was appointed to fill in. Once he noticed no one else was on the street he was on, Shima relaxed and broke ino a smile. He quickly brought his hands together and muttered "Taka Henkan."
Shima's features rippled as he started to shrink, and feathers began sprouting on his body, his arms moving backwards and elongating into a five foot wingspan, his feet turning into large talons. The process of transformation was painless, but it always unnerved natives of the Stone country when they saw hi muse the jutsu, so he made sure if he was using it for pleasure he was not going to abuse it. With a flap of his wings, Shima took off into the sky, leting out a shrill cry, and feeling very free for the first time in weeks. Suddenly the counciousness of the raptor emerged and shima drove down the cold mentality of the bird. It was like a subtle call in his mind to hunt and kill, and one he was very familiar with.
Shima flew for several hours, heading deep into the Stone Country wilderness, glad to be out of the confines of such a large city. He thought he saw a few figures moving in the growing twilight and circled down for a better look, when he got close enough to realize they were armed, Shima tried to fly back up, but a kunai shot up from the ground and ripped into his right wing, and shima plummeted towards the ground. _________________ The world will look up and shout, "Save us!"

OOC: Well, I haven't rolepalyed in a long time.... I guess I need to up the ante.
IC: Shima felt rough hands drag him up from the ground. His mind was in a daze, he felt dizzy, and his vision was swimming. What happened? I had been.... flying, yeah, and I got hit and fell onto the ground, broke my neck-
A fist slammed into Shima's jaw and he felt a spray of blood shoot out of his mouth. No, not my neck, my nose... Shima tried to get his arms free of whatever held his hands to the side, but he was much too weak still. All he accomplished was simply coughing and spewing more blood, and two teeth onto the dark ground in front of him. Slowly his senses were returning, he could see the murkiness fade away and saw that he was beind held by two figures and another was standing in front of him. He smelled the blood, definately that, overpowering in its stench invoking a primal hunger inside of him. his mouth was numb, no feeling was returning there, but what was a muffled pattering that sounded like rain was fading away into clear decipherable words, but...
The pain! He felt it then ripping through his body like a lance sweeping from his battered nose down to his broken right arm. Shima let out a yell of suprise and pain, tearing free of the two unknown captors restraining him and falling to the ground in front of the third figure. That plummet must have really hurt me if it forcefully removed his jutsu, but who are these people? No sooner had Shima thought this question than a boot slammed into his gut, forcing him to roll over onto his back clutching feebly at his stomach. He groaned and stared at the star-studded sky, his mind reeling as he heard them speak in groaning grating voices.
"He's a spy, I know it, sent by the Stone ninja, we're going to be killed! We're as good as dead! If we don't kill him he'll alert all of the Stone Country that we're here!" This one was high pitched, sounding like it had barely passed puberty.
"Shut up, fool!" Much gruffer and coarse, Shima thought it was the man that hit him. "If they're around here, they'll hear you yelling your lungs out! We need to kill him now and be on our way"
"Both of you, why don't you stop arguing and plese, let's ask our guest." This one was obviously female, sultry, smooth as silk, but made Shima's flesh crawl.
A soft hand pulled his head up painlessly to look into a strikingly beautiful pale face framed by dark hair. Shima knew where he had seen this face before. He had fought against her in the chuunin exam, she was from the cloud village, but he saw a dark line cut through her headband. Missing-nin... Shima saw no recognition in her eyes, so she didn't know who he was or what country he owed his alligance to. Good, he could work with that.
The pale blue eyes of the woman stared into his face and she asked him very calmly,"What I want to know is your name, where you are from, what technique you just used, and what you were doing out here."
Shima looked back at her and made up a story on the spot. He didn't stop talking until he was done, and he didn't blink untill he had finished either, the words coming unbidden to him, "My name is Zetsu Morishimi, and I am from the Village Hidden in the Mist, one of their most senior hunter ninjas." At this the man with the high-pitched voice gave a small yelp, but Shima kept talking.
"The strange jutsu you saw was a favorite of the Kusa ninja, one I stole from them and their insignificant village. It is not the only tricks I have up my sleeve though," Shima said taking out a piece of chalk he had accidentally taken from the ninja academy, "through this rare earth metal found only deep in volcanoes, if I am killed my comrade hunter-nins will be alerted by similar crystals they posses. My fellow shinobi will swarm on this location and kill whoever is responsible as the final act in the hunter honor code. They would find you and think you are the dangerous religous cultists we are chasing through the Stone Country."
This visibly unnerved the three, and they exchanged worried glaces. The largest one with the gruff voice leaned down and snarled in Shima's face, "You're bluffing!" Shima sneered at him and cried out as another wave of pain rolled from his arm to his nose. Through the pain Shima said quietly, "How much do you want to bet?"
The female from the Cloud Village yelled at the two others, "Enough, we shall leave him and if he dies of the wounds sustained in his fall, we might be far enough away to evade the hunter-nin." With that she dropped Shima's head back to the ground and walked away quickly followed by the other two. In a few minutes Shima was confident they were gone and he rose unsteadily to his feet. He was immediately thankful for two things, that he had forgot his ninja headband that day at his apartment, and that he remembered a saying he had heard in the Kusagakure ninja academy.

Shima cradled his broken arm, holding close to his body, his fall having done more damage than he originally had thought. He looked at his elbow, it was a mess, the bone was broken and bent at the wrong angle, there were a deep cut as well. His nose had stopped bleeding, but it was broken and he was feeling lightheaded, and his ankle had been slightly sprained. These injuries were not life threatening, but they were serious enough he could not make it back to Iwagakure on his own. The clouds had moved away from the crescent moon and it helped illuminate the valley where Shima stood, alone in the wilderness. The canyon walls around him were a deep purple in the night, and he was standing on the rocky ground of the valley floor, with only the occasional bush around to break the scenery.
Shima's eyes desperately searched for a stick a straight rock, anything he could fashion into a splint. He sighed, and finding nothing, removed his thick brown coat and pulled off his shirt. Shima drew a kunai from his belt and started cutting the bottom hem off of the shirt with the kunai's sharp blade. He pulled away the long line of fabric and wound it around his neck to cradle his arm and elbow. Shima grabbed the leftover cloth and set it between his teeth as he used his left hand to set the broken elbow back into place, crying out a muffled scream because of the pain. Shima crouched down, panting heavily as he saw spots swim before his eyes.
I've got to find out where I am and where Iwagakure is. I dopn't want to die out here, left alone in this canyon, not when I have so much more to do for Iwa! Keeping the canyon walls in his mind, Shima hobbled over to one of them and laid his left hand against the cool surface of it. The chunin closed his eyes and willed the chakra to pool to his left and and right foot, knowing his injuries would probably render the others usseless in climbing and might only make them worse. He opened his eyes nad saw the faint blue glow of his hand on the canyon wall and placed his right foot on the wall as well, the same blue glow appearing. Shima focused more chakra into his hand and lifted his foot to be at the same level as his unbroken hand. Then Shima focused more chakra into his foot to anchor himself, and moved his hand up higher, securly getting a handhold without the use of chakra. Good, the less chakra I have to use, the better my chances are for surviving out here.
The slow climb seemed to take Shima an eternity as he inched up the cliff face, but he was able to make it all the way to the top and pulled himself over the edge, lying panting, gazing up into the night sky. He didn't know how long he lay there, the only way he could feel the passing of time was the periodic aches and pain the enamated from his injuries. After a while, Shima snarled against the pain he felt as he stood up, barking out more of a roar than a shout in defiance.
Shima scanned around at the top of the cliff face, trying to see anything in the darkness, then scowling when he could not. No signs of Iwa anywhere... Thinking quickly, Shima quickly formed the Bird hand sign, and said softy, "Fukuro Mane." Shima closed his eyes as he felt them start to change ever so slightly, not wanting anything to hurt them in their delicate transformation. When Shima opened his eyes, he had the sight of an owl, and everything in the wilderness was so much clearer, as Shima could see well in the dark for a human, but the night predator eyes of the owl let Shima see as well as if it was daytime, and for miles in any direction. It took several minutes of scanning and trying to focus in on distant shapes on the horizon before Shima was certain he found the Hidden Stone Vilalge. There it is, directly to the west.
Shima smiled, knowing at least where he was going now. With that Shima reverted his jutsu and was blanketed in blackness once again, before the much shorter climb down the opposite side of the canyon that he had come up. Soon he was standing on the rocky ground, and then was struck by a brilliant idea. Why didn't I think of this sooner. It's so simple and I'll get back to Iwa faster than if I tried to hobble on my sprained ankle.
One of the drawbacks of the animal Transformation jutsus is that all the injuries sustained in human or animal form are transferred over when the transformation takes place, or when a ninja reverts back to human form. Shima smiled craftfully as he brought his hand together to make the serpent seal, then called quietly into the night, "Hebi Henkan." The transformation into a python was always one of Shima least favorites, as his limbs shrank into his body and he grew of covering of scales, his body elongating and growing much thinner. The concoiusness of the snake was one of the harder animals to surpress as it was so intent on striking, killing, and poisoning. The python's mind was very much like a blast of frigid air, but Shima controlled it easily enough. But best of all, pythons had no arms to be injured or ankles to be sprained.
Shima slithered on for a good two hours, the night starting to fade and he guessed it would not be long before the sun rose. A change in the air caused Shima to stop as he felt an electrical impulse through the python's sixth sense. Shima moved slowly over to where he had sensed to change, and saw with the snake's eyes, that sensed in body heat, three human shaped heat signatures, two lying down and one standing up as if one guard. These are the missing-nin that attacked me! Shima thought suddenly. Should I keep going or should I stay and pay them back for what they did? I mean, they are just missing-nin after all, no one would mind if they were killed. Besides they seemed like they were fleeing from someone, I'd be doing the world a favor is I killed them.
Shima watched from behind a large boulder as the one that was on guard leaned against a solitary tree, probably the only tree out here in the rocky steppes. Sliding along the ground completely silently until he got to the tree, Shima coiled himself up on a low branch and used that branch to slither to the one directly above the ninja. Shima let his body coils drop behind the ninja's hed and wrap around the tree, then stopped his head right begind the ninja's left ear. Involuntarily, Shima's forked tounge flicked out, and the ninja turned sharply, but Shima had already moved, wraping his serpentine body around the ninja's neck, and looping back behind the tree a secong time, crushing the shinobi's windpipe, and keeping him from crying out. Shima held the missing ninja like that for several minutes, suffocatind the man until he was sure he was dead, then let his body drop to the ground.
Shima slid out of the tree and over to the two sleeping ninjas, quickly cancelling his jutsu and reverting back to his natural human form. Taking the kunai he had used to make the sling, Shima slit the two ninja's throats without making a sound. Overwhelmed by the feeling of a successful hunt, the predator inside Shima dictated his actions as he uncounciously reached for a scroll the was next to the the dead kunoichi from Kumogakure. Shima studied the scroll, it was small and slender, the case was black covered in red spirals, and it almost radiated power. He was about to open it, but stopped and shook his head. Getting back to Iwa is the most important thing right now.
With his mind made up, Shima left the bloodstained bodies of the ninja without any remorse, and transformaed back into a python, wrapping his coils around the scroll so he could transport it as well. As the sun came up over the horizon, Shima thought that getting back to Iwa now should be very easy.
