Class was done for the day, but for Ushiro, the lesson was not over. His intrest in chakra control has taken an interesting turn for him to start learning how to exert chakra to specific points of the body. Improving his chakra control and taijutsu is what he needs to learn the Jyuuken Style, and he's found a way to train both; the Demolishing Fist Technique. Excited to start his training, he's already rushed to the Training Fields to start.
In front of the padded poll, he decides that he should first warm up with some palm strikes. Ushiro was used to punching, but he guess this worked too. Posing for an attack, he makes his first strike to the poll with an open palm, but the results were not what he expected. His entire hand and forearm stung with the warmth of pain. He was used to the sensation of a punch, but didn't realize the nerve points in his hand that he just shocked, recklessly forcing his palm. Holding his hand in pain, he thinks of what he did wrong. After a moment, Ushiro contemplates that he didn't do anything wrong and just isn't used to the sensation. With the assurance the got back to stance. "If I can train my fists, I can train my palms!" For hours he stood there, slamming away at the poll, never stopping, never hesitating. But the end of the afternoon,he walked home with red hands, bleeding just a little as proof of his day's trail.

After a a few of days of applying his palms to this intense training, the Demolishing Palm Technique seemed to be far from Ushiro's reach with the only thing in gaining was the bruises on his hands. Today, he was sure thimgs were going to be different. He got a scroll of "Iron Palm" that he figured could come in great help in showing him to actually use his palms the right way. So sitting under the pole today, he unraveled the scroll for the first time and started to read it. As he look through it though, his face changed to a corrosion of confusion. What he found was complete different from what he expected, just like his entire training up to this point.
"Breathing is the most important thing when fighting. It increases stamina, strength and dexterity. In order to get the most out of any attack, breathing is required." Ushiro didn't understand. He knew how to breath. He's been breathing his whole life. Scratching his head, he continued to the illustrations and notes. It depicted someone sitting crossed-legged and breathing in and out, their hands scooping in the air and then pushing down as if to squeeze it out the body. The notes said to breath in and out the nose and never through the mouth as well as to use your palms to collect the air as well as to expel it.
So he rolled up the scroll and tried it. He sat down, got all comfortable-like, and started to do this strange breathing exercise. He tried breathing with only his nose and found it hard in a very different way. It took longer to breath in, letting his palms direct how much air to take in, and even harder to breath out because with his arms directing him, it felt like an eternity. After a hour or so, started to get the hand of it and started to breath in and out with deeper, longer, more powerful breaths. When he finally decided to go home, he was blue in the face, but his hand were just fine. More than breathing normally though, or actually hitting something, Ushiro wanted to read more of the Iron Palm scroll.

It has been over two weeks since Ushiro has started his training. For about a week and a half in that time, he's done nothing but read the Iron Palm scroll and practice its breathing technique. Now he feels more confident, relaxed, and controlled with much more stamina. This time he returns to the padded pole in hopes to complete the technique of the scroll and continue his training to unlocking the secret to the Demolishing Palm.
With his hand extended and fingers pointed out and together, Ushiro touches the bag with just the tips of his farthest fingers. As he breathed, in and out of his nose as directed and practiced, he found that his wrist flexed, form the beginning of what could be a palm thrust. "So just by breathing can the force be exerted," he told himself, studying all that he did. Stepping back, he takes stance, he took a moment to review the scroll in his head. "Aim and strike the target with the points of your fingers. At the last moment, the moment of impact, force the air you've built inside you out, creating force behind the blow." Now mentally prepared, Ushiro stares at the padding... and he strikes. Right be for his fingers touch the padding, he breaths out from his nose, hard, making his wrist flex adding momentum to his attack. The result was exactly what he was looking for; a proper palm strike. To sound against the padding was nothing like the thwack of a punching bag or thud of padding, the the muffled sound of cracking wood. With his enthusiasm and excitement rejuvenated, he continues to go at the pole with no mercy, shaping his new "soft" technique for the next stages of perfection.
For hours he pounded away, the glow of wanting more still in his eyes. After several hours, he decided to call it a day and go home. So he grabbed the scroll and shook out his hands brightly, proud of himself. But a sudden moment of curiosity caught him. As he undid the padding from the pole, a small crater of shattered wood where he struck. With this physical proof, he knew now that he could sleep well tonight with aching hands.

(The Demolishing Palm Technique. I made sure to mention it in every post.)

Whenever you'd go to the training fields, you'd be bound to see Ushiro there when school was let out, beating away at the training poles with his hands, single-mindfully hitting the same spot. For days he's been doing this, and each day he does it for a bit longer. Until another week passed and he was able to do it from school's out till sundown. His palms were becoming as hard as his fists, if not harder, now. But he wasn't satisfied for him. His personal strides for the Demolishing Palm as lasted almost three weeks now, of nothing but breathing and striking day in and day out.
To day is the start of week four. He started his usual routine of breathing for a good amount of time. Then he readied himself in front of the pole. With his new combination of breathing and natural reflexes, he started his palm strikes. He could feel the adrenaline moving through his body, the power of his breathing going through the center of his palm and into the pole. This feeling made him more in wanting. He wanted more progress. After about an hour, he started to hear some cracking; serious cracking. Confused, he strikes the padding again as it was greeted with another shattering sound. Another strike; the sound was worse. One more focused, fulled breathed strike. SNAP!!!! The top half of the pole went flying about two feet away. Staring at his hands he smiles and looks at the broken piece of equipment. "Maybe it's finally time to start working with chakra..." Very Happy
