The wind was blowing softly through the long line of cherry trees as the leaves danced their final dance down to the ground. The sun shone softly through the pink canopy, making a soft glow of said color from the ground. As the pink and green ground blew about making small circular motions, a man dressed in all black came walking down a long path from an unmarked town. In his hands were roses of many different colors. As he walked, his hair blew from side to side, covering one side of his eyes for a few seconds. His walk and stride seemed to be slow in the world around him as if approaching the end of the path was something he wished to hold off.

~Remember, we'll always be friends! No matter what happens, eh, Tamotsu-kun!?~

His eyes began to water up as he had a yellow band around his arm with S.M. on it. As he finally took notice of the area around him, the trees seemed to cry softly. More leaves joined their fallen brethren on the floor. As he took his steps and the leaves kicked up behind him, for a moment, he felt as if he was 13 again and could see his friends beside him. A tall blond boy, a red haired girl, a tall dark haired man.

~How does it feel to be apart of a team? Kinda like family, right?~

The illusion faded as he blinked and the world returned to normal and he stood in front of a tall grave with and Angel looking down at a wolf cub. He laid the flowers at the base of the grave and then smiled.

"You were always more then a friend and family to me."

Slow and steady footsteps could be heard from behind the Tsuchikage as a man whose bright white hair deeply contrasted with his dark clothing. Yasuo Amano stood beside Tamotsu and looked down to the stone with a solemn look on his face, he let out a long breath as the wind forced his hair to hide one half of his face. The sage knelt down and laid his own flowers with the ones already at the stone, his eyes fluttered shut for a moment before he rose, once again at Tamotsu's side. The chuunin's face was pained as he looked down to the stone and memories both happy and sad passed through his mind. Yasuo didn't seem to notice as the trees surrounding the grave site held their own mourning, their beautiful cherry blossom tears dancing on the wind and down to the floor, finally resting at the feet of the two men.

"I saw your calendar" He said finally breaking the silence, "It's hard to believe it's been a whole year."

~Promise me something, friend to friend. Oh stop looking at me like that. I'll be fine. Just... promise you'll always look after him for me. Promise me he'll be happy for the rest of his life. Promise me he'll always wake up with a smile... P... promise me... that... he... he'll... be loved....~

Tamotsu looked at the ninja beside him and nodded. "Time seems to fly sometimes. Even more so then we want it to." He said as he looked back at the grave and then read the inscription. "If I could have one wish, it would be that with my death, I could change the world. And if my wish doesn't come true, for those who knew me to carry it on." Tamotsu ran his hand lovingly over the inscription and his eyes began to drop tears on the flowers below, a soft pink shine appear on the flowers.

~How can you tell? It looks fine to me? Those Hokage robes fit you fine.~

Tamotsu looked at the grave and then smiled sadly as his tears rolled down his cheeks. "I never imagined I would have needed as you much as I did then." He said as he looked at Seiko's name on the grave.

~Oh, get over it! We all need help sometimes Tamotsu! So stop being lazy and learn to make a damn clone!~

Tamotsu looked at Yasuo and stood beside him, putting an arm over his back and stood staring at the angel.

Yasuo's own eyes began to tear up as Tamotsu read the inscription to him, the very same words that had gone through his mind over and over for many months now. The sage folded his arms over his chest as a cold wind passed through the area, blowing his jacket and hair around.

The sage's mind was cast back to the first time he had met Seiko, just after the chuunin selection exam was over and when he had almost died. Even then Seiko had intrigued him, having a certain air of mystique and power. Yasuo reached down into his pocket where his hand tightened around a cold, steel object, he smiled slightly and slowly pulled out the white kunai, he twirled it through his fingers before once again kneeling down to the grave, he drove the small weapon into the ground beside the stone and gave a watery-eyed smile "You don't need this to know where I am anymore do you?" He said in an unsteady voice. Yasuo got himself back up to his feet and Tamotsu wrapped his arm round him as the tears began to flow freely down the sage's face, he tried to laugh through it but he just ended up crying more, he turned his body and burried his face into Tamotsu's chest "I promised myself I wouldn't cry" He said, rather muffled.

Tamotsu looked at the younger ninja and then put his hand behind his head. He began running his fingers in the ninja's hair and sighed softly. This was a side of him no one but Yasuo could see. He pulled back a moment and then stared the boy right in the eyes. His eyes filled with water and then he looked to the sky and watched the pink leaves fall down on them.

~Look into my eyes! Look at them! Tell me that when you look in my eyes that I don't look back with the same pain of uncertainty~

Tamotsu looked back at the statue of the angel and let his tears go. He sniffled a bit and then looked back at the ninja in his arms and kissed his forehead. "Sometimes, crying is the best way to get rid of the pain." He said as he looked back at the monument.

~Sometimes, when you look into the distance, I feel like you're telling the world, you'll be ok.~

Yasuo cast his mind and thoughts back, much farther than the year since Seiko's death, to the time when the two had first met each other, had their first real conversation and...somehow...connected.

~ There was rubble all around and the smell of burning flesh hung in the air, away from the confusion and death sat a beat up looking man and a small boy who also didn't look his best. "Thankyou mysterious stranger, I think you just saved my life" Yasuo said quietly as the blond got to work on healing his ankle "Mysterious stranger?" ~

The sage laughed at this memory, such a simple thing yet it brought him so much joy, just to remember how Seiko was "Not quite as laughable as the time he met my mother though..." He thought to himself and chuckled. The chuunin pushed himself back from Tamotsu's chest and wiped away the tear streaks from his face whilst holding a quivering smile "I miss him so much...The way he used to make me laugh...The way he didn't realise what was happening when he woke up in the morning" Yasuo frowned as he said this and continued in a more serious tone "His dreams and ambition..." He turned and faced his kage "Our dreams and ambitions, I will bring peace to this ruthless world" He cast a look over his shoulder at the wolf cub "...I promise"

Tamotsu looked at him and then raised a brow quickly.

~Is that so? Don't you have your own dreams Tamotsu? Don't you aspire to be something different? Don't you want to be greater then everyone whose walked all over you? Better then the past? Better then me?~

The Kage smiled as he nodded. He looked at the statue as the wind blew softly and seemed to kiss his cheeks. He looked at his hands and noticed that he couldn't see past the gloves but knew underneath, they were trembling. He looked back at the ninja before him and laughed. "You're so slow." He said for a moment as he looked at Seiko before him in his younger years waving to him to follow.

~Hurry up! We got the rest of our lives to look forward too!~

Yasuo ran his slender fingers through his long white hair as the wind blew past the two men in a flurry, the younger of the two frowned as he looked at the older, who seemed to be staring right through him "Slow?" He took a step towards his kage, confused by his words "What are you talking about Tamotsu?" Yasuo's green eyes searched the man before him, as if looking him over would give him some kind of answer to all his questions. The chuunin sighed and looked away, into the sky "I'll keep my promise to Seiko and if that means I'm slow...Then I'm slow" Yasuo slid his hands into his pockets and cast a look over to Tamotsu as the wind once again blew his hair about.

Tamotsu looked at Yasuo and then approached him. As he did, he ran his hands through his hair and then pulled the boy to him. As he did, the leaves began to fall heavily as if Gaia were crying for them. He looked the boy in the eyes and then leaned in. "I remember when I first saw you. You were so different. Much like when he first saw me. And when I look at you, I'm astounded by the chance that has come." He said as the leaves began to blow around them as if isolated from the world. He leaned in and kissed Yasuo for a moment seeing Seiko in his arms. "Time, will always be our enemy..."

Yasuo smiled softly and lifted one of Tamotsu's hands from his head, there he held it and looked up into the kage's eyes before once again looking out into the sky. "I've grown up since you first saw me, and each time we see each other I grow up a little more, get a little smarter and a little stronger. Much like you..." Yasuo's yes now fixed onto Tamotsu's with a gentle quality behind them "Everytime I see you, you've increased the gap in our power once again" The sage sighed and looked to the ground "Time...Is our poison, a weakness that all humans share. We live, short, fleeting lives, so we have to make sure we live it to the full."
