Amegaki

Amegaki walked into the area with Kuromaru walking closely behind him. He had his hood up so he wouldn't be recognized. He walked up to the massive stone and then looked along the names, going over his old friends. He hadn't been here in quite some time and it felt a little akward to be back after all of this time. He rubbed his finger along the name of his mother and father, they were right above the other even though they didn't fit in the alphabetical categories. He then went to his old freind Kai's name, he looked at it a bit annoyed, then turned away from it. He moved down to his oldest freind who had only died just recently. He touched her name with his pointer finger and looked upon the stone with anger. The name read 'Koyuki Cho.' He felt it a bit until he went to another name that he knew. Although it was a name he didn't know too well, he knew the person a bit. He felt sympathy in their death and felt sorry that he hadn't been around in a long time to pray over them. He got on one knee then put his hand on the stone. He closed both eyes with his forearm on his knee. He prayed silently to himself and the souls that lingered about him. He finished his prayer and felt a bit releived, as if the pressure of the world had been lifted from his shoulders. He stood and Kuromaru stood with him, walking off a bit. Amegaki jumped and landed on the rock, then sat down, meditating.

Flashback

The world was engulfed with a bright light and when Amegaki opened his eyes, he had his old squad in front of him. He remembered their faces, yet their names were behind some sort of mental block. He could physically say them yet no sound would come from his mouth when making the words. It was as if the world was on mute every time he said one of their names. He walked up to the girl and remembered at this point, it was a girl he was dating. This was also the point in his life where his hair was white and his fang markings were red. He looked down to see Kuromaru rubbing his back against his leg. He brushed him off slightly and brushed the hair from his leg. He guess that Kuromaru was at the shedding point in his life. He walked over to the girl and talked to her saying, "Hello whats up --?" Like last time, he couldn't mouth any of the names that they people owned. However, the flashback seemed to fill in for it because the girl understood that her name was called. He watched as the girl hugged him, then let him go. At first, it felt a bit wierd because he knew that the girl was dead, then it felt comforting to him. He never really got a chance to say good-bye to her or the rest of his squad. The leaderwas his father though. He also never got the chance to say good-bye to him. He watched as he father walked over to him and bent down to him saying, "Well... Amegaki, how're you doing today? It seemed like you dazed off on that memorial over there." Amegaki looked up to him thinking, Dazed off? Then he remembered that this was a flashback so the real world to the Amegaki now is only a dream, similar to dejavu. Amegaki chuckled slightly and said, "Yeah... sorry about that." Then he felt the girl let go. He saw Kuromaru looking up to him, he was still a baby at this point and was not even at Amegaki's knees. He bent down a patted his head.

As he let go of the girl, his body felt as if it were being spiraled around in a circle. The world glowed in a white light once again and he could just barely make out the people's faces from the flashback. He reached out with one arm and said to his former squad, "I wanted to say.... Good-bye..." The girl smiled and said to him, "I'll see you when you get up here with us. Goodbye Amegaki." Amegaki smiled at her and the world around him and Kuromaru dissipated, revealing the real world in which he was sitting atop the memorial.

Flashback End

Amegaki opened his eyes and felt extremely relieved, as if he had just seen that an old freind was okay. He smiled and stood up, jumping from the stone. He walked away from it, leaving a bunch of flowers under the memorial. He also left a notse that said, "This is for being great freinds, I know I haven't been around to pray for you, but I'm deeply sorry, I won't make excuses but I will apologize. Once again, I am deeply sorry." At the bottom, there was Kuromaru's paw print and next to it, it said,'Amegaki Inuzuka.'

Amegaki put his hood up and disappeared in a flurry of leaves.
