I just got introduced to this by my friend during lunch today.

Naruto NG takes place during Shippuden, probably before everyone starts dying.

Here's a summary from the site I found it on.

Kindo, Kauru and Sachi are three ninjas from Naruto's generation engaging in various tasks like any normal Konoha ninja. But their latest mission is very different; A mission that not only puts their lives in danger, but every life in Konoha too...Failure is not an option.

What are these mysterious and dark circumstances? Do the three ninja have what it takes to be entrusted with so much responsibility? Naruto NG is their story!!!

found a suitable image for the three new characters. One on left is the Sakuraish one, the center is the Sasukeish captain, and the one on the right is the Narutoish comedic relief for the team.
