Cheshie curled up comfortably on one of the hidden branches of a tree. She had originally been sleeping, but had woken up and now decided to play a few tricks before she got really hungry. She had slipped on her customary Gauntlets and had climbed onto a branch that couldn't be seen visibly from the ground, waiting for someone to pass by her tree. Whenever someone did, which wasn't often mind you, she would swing down from the branch, holding on with her knees. Cheshire would make a creepy and strange face, occasionally swiping at the general air with frenzied attacks and large bellows and hissing. Most of the time this approach got her a glare and maybe a kunai thrown at her face, but luckily she was swift enough to pull herself out of harm's way and into the relative safety of the tree.

Once, while she was doing this, somebody who had no concept of humor actually continued to attack her after she had gone back into the tree. So Cheshire stuck her face down there again and stuck her tongue out dramatically at him, along with the sound effects and spit being sprayed into his face. The man got his cool then and decided that Cheshie wasn't worth his oh-so-valuable time, and went on his merry little way. Now Cheshire curled up again on her branch, feeling the beginnings of boredom and hunger coming upon her as she waited for her next victim.

A rather feminine looking man had started down this path, with just two other people following, the two people didn't know what the feminine one was doing, but didn't pay him no mind. They had no idea what the guy was doing, besides walking, they knew that he wasn't that young, or old. His long teal colored hair swept down his body, as he looked around with dark purple eyes. His tall frame covered in what looked like soft flowing clothing, though nothing that was really fancy or covering all the much. It was apparent that he had bandages around his torso, and his arms and legs.

He saw the tree, and the way it was sitting, letting the other two continue past, his mind was more on the idea of resting for the moment, and so he went to sit under the tree itself, so that he could relax, unaware of it's occupant, seemingly. His mind was thinking on a great many tasks, and so it wouldn't be surprising if he had no idea the girl was there.

Cheshire had been resting her eyes a little bit, fantasizing about what it would be like to be able to have a little cat's tail to flick around, and maybe cute kitten's ears...when a new noise interrupted her fantasy. More people! Oh joyous of joys....Cheshire went through a mental cycle of what kinds of tricks to play on this hapless person....But before she could, she would have to figure out something else. Was this a male or a female!? If it was dude, then he must the prettiest boy ever...If it was a girl, then it must be one of the uglies chicks on the planet. Cheshie giggled and came to the conclusion that he was in fact a boy.

Well, it was more of a guess. But Cheshie had a humorous way of figuring it out. She ran one extremely sharp gauntleted finger along her jawline, appearing deep in thought and came to the conclusion. She smiled widely, rather white teeth for a missing ninja, and swung down from her perch, holding onto the branch as usual and swinging right into his face."Why hello there purty lady!" Cheshire exclaimed in a high pitched voice, followed up by sharp poke in his face, in the general direction of his nose.

The boy opened his eyes, to look into the face of a strange looking girl, who attempted to poke his nose, and called him a lady. "Pardon me, miss, but I don't think you have your eyes working, I am clearly a male, as you can possibly tell." he spoke with a rather feminine voice. He was studying her, though keeping his cool, being that she was a female, anyone else, and he would have been tempted to use his tongue to cut them apart, with words and mind tricks. He studied her, and realized that she seemed slightly cat like. "So, why are you out here, in the middle of no where?" he asked her, as he moved slightly out of the way, and then stood up, so that he could look at the strange young lady in the tree. He had no idea what her way was, but realized that it would be interesting to see in the end.

"What do they call you, if I might ask?" he started, before speaking his own name. "I am known as Jato, though my friends call me Knight." he finished, staring up at the girl, moving to a strange angle, to manage to have an interesting angle at looking up at her. so that his eye was covered by his hair, while his other one was still showing. His hands were near his waist, and his eye seemed to have a dark dullness to them. His stance was something rather interesting, with his slightly vest like robe top, and his long flowing pants. He really had no idea what else to say to her, but waited for her to reply.

Cheshire smiled down at him serenely. So I was correct...It is a male person! Heehee, i'm so smarty....Cheshire blinked in silence at him, listening through all of his questions without saying anything. She was observing him, his clothing, looks, manner of speaking, and the way he moved. This would all contribute into whether or not she would eventually deem him worthy of speaking to her and not her good friend Mia, who was now strapped to her bright purple backpack. She was wearing her standard outfit, nothing special today. She had been mulling over the idea of changing into her fearsome purple lioness outfit, all the better to scare you with my dear, but had decided against it.

That outfit had a heavy headress, and might cause Cheshie to fall rather ungracefully out of the tree! Not good for a hasty getaway. As it was, the branch was beginning to chafe her through her purple stripey leggings and so she pulled herself back into the tree for a moment, in a sitting position, before straightening her body completely and sliding off and onto the ground, landing in a crouch and using the momentum to bounce herself back up again. Cheshire ignored all of Jato's questions while she examined him. And by examined, I mean like poke, prod, and look at you from every angle. The immediate thing she noticed was that he gave his name. Real one, she assumed. Mistake. Never give out your real name! You cannot trust anyone! This initally gave Cheshire a bad feeling about him, but was semi-interested in him also.

He stared back, not really caring what she was thinking. He knew that his own thoughts would take priority over her own thoughts, he didn't really seem to care over all, just as long as he got one answer from her. He studied her purple colors, and thought about how she couldn't really be hiding in the tree, being it would stick out so much. He thought about how that would work better in a genjutsu method, instead of the way she was using. He would have to keep that thought in place, though, for when he finally found the genjutsu he wanted to learn.

"So, are you just going to stare all day, or are you going to say anything" He asked, as he started deflecting her pokes and prods, while changing angles, to keep staring over her, trying to figure out more about her, his own curiosity getting to him, as he thought about reaching up and grabbing her, but kept his hands primarily to himself. He was doing his best to be polite to her, and keep to his code, but knew it wouldn't last long.

Cheshire stopped analyzing him as soon as he started countering her touches. She straightened up from where she had been tugging on his funny looking pants and looked at him in the eyes, her smile crinkling the edges of her eyes and a look of mirth entering them. She leaned forward and kissed his nose, trying to guage just how far she could go with this Jato boy before he cracked and started to become angry. Cheshie would guess it wasn't far. Time to throw the dog a bone. And besides, he had proven himself...for now.

"Konichiwa stranger. Chesh is the name, don't go wearing it out now! Teehee..." She giggled and jumped back from him, so that there was about two or three feet between them. She walked around him in a semi-circle, and stopped so that her back was to the tree, and she was facing him again."So what's a pretty boy like you doing out here in Tea Country? Not lost are we?" Cheshire giggled again, a decidedly creepy noise, but without any real venom or spite to it. Of course, if he was out here, then it probably meant he was a missing-nin, like her. But then again, he could be anything. He could be a ninja sent from the Nations to capture missing-nin such as herself. Therefore, she had to be on her guard. She still hadn't removed her Gauntlets, letting them stay on for an added precaution.

As Akio walked around, he felt great. He had just been told he was fully cured from his deathly disease, just a little while ago. Now he was walking around as a cat, a Siamese to be specific. He loved his clan jutsu, he could be nearly anything he wanted, whenever he wanted. As he walked he saw that there was a small group, one girl; who looked a lot like a cat herself in a way, and a.. man? He guessed it was a man, but by his looks it almost seemed a female. As he walked forward, he stayed his Siamese self. He walked towards the girl and started rubbing against her legs by walking next to her, much like a normal cat would do. As he did, he studied both of them, their actions, looks, talking, everything he could.

The boy straightened, surprised by the kiss to the nose, before watching the girl move gracefully out of the tree, and onto the ground, moving so that she had her back to the tree, but he studied her, and finally heard her voice. "So, your names Chresh, well what I am doing here, is searching, for techniques that I can use, to help me with my own plans." he stated, not giving much off, but noticing a cat on the ground, he thought about something about this cat like girl. "Why did you kiss my nose, as for being lost, I don't really care where I am, as long as I have the ability to locate what I need, so that I can get on with what I need." He added, for good measure, still staring between the cat, and the girl.

He wondered what a cat like that was doing out here, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, it seemed like it didn't belong at all, like it was something that should be starving, but from what he saw, it looked well fed, as if it was a house cat. "A friend of yours?" he asked, his eyes giving a piercing glance at the cat, before looking back at the purple haired girl, wondering what else she had in store for him.

Cheshie ignored his comments for the moment, and focused on the cat. At first, she thought it was The Cat, here with another message or task for her, but no. It was the normal, unsmiling variety. A Siamese kitty. So cute. Cheshire stretched one leg back behind her and bent the other leg forward, in a mock imitation of a bow to the cat."Konichiwa Kitty-san." She twirled her hands for it ridiculously. Three things occured to Cheshire then. One, that this could be an agent of The Cat's, sent because It was busy. Two, it could be just your average little kitty-pet, maybe a ninja cat of sorts that had gotten seperated from it's master. Or thirdly, it could be something else entirely.

However, Cheshie had a fond love of animals, especially cats, so she was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. She knelt, and picked up the cute cat gingerly, hefting it into the air. Not wanting to call it, an it all the time, Chesh began to thouroughly examine the cat's body, trying to discern what gender it happened to be. A rather embarassing ordeal for the cat, but Cheshie didn't think much of it. While she was doing this, she also spoke to Jato."So Knighty, are ya a Free Man, or working for the Man?" She smiled jauntily at him, and glancing at him for a few moments."And nah...You'd know my friend if you saw Him!" Cheshire laughed crazily.
