Description: History: The kyuuken is a very unique artifact, a blade of great power. Its origin is unknown to all though there are many legends that surround its creation. One such legend, the one that it is the most widely believed is that a powerful monk forged the sword from metal he found within a meteorite. It is said he slaved over the sword for seven days and seven nights, not resting, eating or drinking till the blade was finished. The monk poured all his power into the blade, using every forging technique he knew to perfect it. After finishing the blade the monk made a solemn vow upon the sword he had put so much effort into, that he would make it last a eternity.
The legend says that news of the power and origin of the blade reached a powerful emperor of the monk’s country and the emperor ordered the monk to give him the blade, thinking he was the only one worthy of it. But the monk knew that the emperor was a corrupt and vain monk and did not want the weapon to be wasted on such a vile man so he refused to give it to the emperor. The emperor decided that if he could not have the sword no one could and sent his army to attack the monastery and kill the monk. Now, the monk was a very skilled warrior and it is said he killed 999 soldiers during the weeklong battle but upon his 1,000 kill, he was mortally wounded. With the last of his power he sealed the sword within the monastery so the emperor could not posses it. Some say that the monk’s soul inhabits the sword and that is why it has its great power.
200 years later a great samurai found the blade inside the ruins of the monastery. Suddenly the blade unsealed it self and called out to the samurai, making him take it for himself. Once the samurai had taken the blade he was driven to fight more and more and become stronger till a powerful demon felled him in battle. The Kyuuken repeated the process and this time made the demon grasp it, making the demon fight more and more to become stronger till it was slayed in a battle. The Kyuuken would keep repeating the process, making the killer of the current holder take it and use it to become stronger till they were slain, seeking to be wielded by the most powerful warrior of all. Eventually, 50 years ago both the current holder and his killer killed themselves at the same time, leaving the blade ownerless. The blade was then lost in the ruins of the battlefield and hasn’t been yet, but some say it is waiting. Waiting to find a powerful warrior to take it up to finally be wielded by the greatest warrior of all time.
Appearance: The blade is a long katana of about 2-ft in length. The sword it self looks completely new no matter how many battles it has been through. The blade is made of a pure white metal and is exceptionally strong and sharp. The hilt is made entirely out of bamboo and is labeled with the kanji for Eternity, it’s name sake. The color of the hilt is white and printed with black diamond shapes going down it.
Powers: The blade has a mind of it’s own and is able to think and feel emotions. One of the blades key abilities is that it is capable of telepathy. It can send messages and images from great distances too not only its owner, but also can even use this ability to call out a suitable owner when the last one has deid. The sword also has the ability to trick the senses of a target. By affecting the mind of the user’s target and placing a great amount of chakra into the blade the user can create illusionary objects that the target sees, hears, and feels. If the user is wounded by one of these objects, they aren’t wounded physically but to the target it appears they are wounded. The target can only see these illusions.
