Appearance:
Lean, with the exception of certain muscular areas on his body. He wears the classic, navy blue shinobi outfit from feudal Japan, over that, he wears a plain, black Hiori that splits right up the middle until it reaches his mid-torso. He wears a red colored scarf that seems battle worn, and ruffled on the edges. Another scarf is wrapped around his head to conceal most of his hair, but some of it jets ot in certain areas, and covering his brow to remove his left eye from sight. In the dark, he is only a silhouette to the eyes of moderately trained ninja. His skin is pale, but only from the fact that he does not walk in the sun, it irritates him. Over his arms, he wears sectioned pieces of metal to form a forearm protector for his arms, they consist of three pieces, with one over the other, and a fourth that covers his forepalm(idk what that's called ). He wears shoes similar to the ones required to wear by each ninja to their respectable villages, but his split, separating his big tow from the rest (sorta' like tabi). He has two scars that form an "x" right in between his eyes, starting from above both eyebrows, and ending just below the eyes.

Background:
Kei was born and raised in the Land of Iron, where both his parents lived, until he was about the age of nine. Once at that age, he began to realize that his parents had no remaining feelings for each other except hate.
Kei's father caught his wife cheating on him one fateful night. His father (being a samurai of the village, and a well known drunk) savagely beat his wife after catching them in their room, until the other man tried to interfere. Kei's father used his wakizashi to kill the other man, and his blood washed to floors of their house. Kei's mother, acting on impulse and adrenaline, took Kei and ran out the door and to the local authorities. they arrived moments later to seize Kei's father, and send him to prison, where he would be tried for his crimes. He soon felt the old hand of death from the gallows.
Kei's mother (who was born and raised in Konoha) packed everything they had left that wasn't destroyed by Kei's father, and left for Konoha.
Kei lived in his new home peacefully, but the memories of the night haunted him for his entire childhood, and eventually scarred him, leaving him sad throughout his training at the Konoha ninja academy.
After graduating the academy, and leaving to go train with his new team, Kei was secretly anxious to become a great, and powerful ninja.
After his Genin training, Kei entered the chuunin exams to take one step further to becoming a great ninja. After his best effort to pass, he shamefully lost the tournament in the finale. Defeated, and hopeless, Kei threw away his headband, and left the village for good, never to return again. He swore that he didn't need a title in order to become great, so he would learn other abilities on his own.
He traveled back to the land of iron to the spot where his old home once stood. It was burned to the ground by a freak lightning accident. The rubble was still there, so he assumed the basement would still be intact. A small door lay on the ground where the living room once was, and he pulled it open, revealing a dark room. He lit a lantern and walked down the stairway, the room was pretty big, enough to store another home. Kei turned a corner and saw them there, his father's swords. He saw an old, rusted wakizashi laying on the ground, probably the one he used to kill that man with. He ignored it and took the katana perched on a shelf in front of some armor. It was a glorious blade, one of high quality, so he strapped it to the side of his pants (old fashioned styled), and set off to escape the place where old memories remained.
The world was his now, anywhere he lay was his home, he didn't need to worry about such things as home. His sights were set on becoming a great ninja.
He would be a hired blade for any village who paid a decent fee.
