Kodo finally made it back to the village. He looked at the guards at the gate and just walked by. His right arm still in the sling. One of the guards saw Kodo’s arm and stopped him at the gate. He asked what had happened and why he was outside the perimeter without permission from the Hokage. Kodo had told him that he was training in the forest of death with his sensei Tamotsu. The two guards thought this a lie as Tamotsu is a personal friend of Renima-Kage and they had seen them hanging together and doing missions. Kodo wasn’t going to argue his point as he was too tired and collapsed at the guards’ feet. One of the guards scooped Kodo up and brought him to the hospital. They could find out if the boy was lying after he had recovered. Kodo awoke several hours later to find himself in the hospital… again. He could remember little about the events of the past few days. That was until he felt the stiffness of his right arm. He looked down to find it incased in a cast. A Nurse walked in and noticed that Kodo was up.
“Well it looks like are little visitor is going to make a full recovery. You took some hits Kodo. We had a time mending your arm, and the wounds on your chest. Did you stitch them yourself?” The nurse walked over to the monitor and jotted something down onto a clipboard. “I wouldn’t try any ninja stuff until your arm is at full capacity. If you do you could damage it permanently.”
Kodo just looked away, then back to his arm. “I can’t stop my training. If I do then Tamotsu-sensei might find someone elts to teach.” Kodo looked over to his left and found Airazor perched in a stand nearby. “Well at least you’d never leave me.”
The nurse looked at Kodo. “I will see if I can get someone to fetch your sensei for you. I’m shore he’d understand. Oh and you had some visitors from the Hokage. Tamotsu walked into the room sighing and looking at Kodo. "I leave you alone for 3 weeks and you end up in the hospital. At least your not like me right now." Tamotsu said as he smiled and walked into the room. He sat one Kodo's bed and looked at the Genin. He then took his hand and traced his fingers along Kodo's chest. "You failed." Tamotsu said as he dug his nails hard into Kodo's chest and cut him. "Because you failed, me and you will be taking a long trip to the Water Country. Kodo looked at the room’s door as it opened and his sensei Tamotsu walked in. At first he was happy to see him, and then the room turned cold as Tamotsu again told him that he’d failed somehow. “What is it that I could have done wrong this time?” Kodo thought to himself just before Tamotsu’s fingers jammed into his chest. “Aw Sensei that hurt, I’m still recovering from the gashes that Leopard gave me.”
Airazor fluffed up his feathers in anger at Tamotsu’s minor attack on Kodo. Kodo raised his hand to stop the falcon from attacking. He knew Airazor was fast, but not as skilled at Tamotsu-sen. “A recon mission you say. Well I guess I could help with a little recon.” Kodo tried to sound tough and willing to impress his sensei. In truth he wanted nothing to do with the water country. His fears of drowning could be realized if they were attacked by strong shinobi there. At the same time he didn’t want to stick around here and wait for any unwanted visitors. He was feeling better anyway. "Sorry for the cuts. I'll heal you later, we leave soon. It's important that you try not to be afraid. Remember that I can sense fear." Tamotsu said as he looked at Kodo. "You failed because you didn't come looking for me. The pack leader doesn't look for his cubs, his cubs fight their way back to the pack leader." Tamotsu said as he stood up. "You're fine enough. Let's go!" Tamotsu said as he picked Kodo up and put him up on his shoulder and walked out the room. "Time to go! Let's go! Time to do a mission!" Tamotsu sang nearly. _________________

Kodo gave a look of shock at his sensei’s awareness to his fear. He had forgotten who his sensei was and what clan he belonged. Kodo wished he was part of a clan. He’d searched in the academy library and even the Village library and found no record of anyone in the history of Konoha with his last name. “It is alright Sensei, I’ll heal fast. There is no need to use your chakra.” He allowed Tamotsu-sen to carry him out of the room and Airazor followed in flight. “Sensei, shouldn’t we sign me out before we leave?”

"Sign? Forget that (beep). We're going right out. And No one will question me since I have a friend in a high place!" Tamotsu said as he carried Kodo out of the hospital despite the protests of the many nurses and doctors at the hospital. Tamotsu walked out the main gate with Kodo, much to the shock and stunned look of the Jounin Guards. Jaken followed behind them slowly. "Kodo, I wanna tell you something. I may not be as great a Sensei as you hold me to be, but I will look after ya. And, nevermind... maybe later." He said as the walked off.
