Heya guys! This is my first tut so don't kill me please >.>

Anyways, all you need for this tut is basic PS knowledge so enjoy! ^^

NOTE: This tut focuses mainly on brushing/smudging/filters no C4Ds for this one XD

1. Open a new document. Go to file > new. Then choose the size of your canvass. I choose 350x110. You can choose any background color but I'll use black for this sig.

2. Now go take out your render and bring to our canvass. I'm gonna use Ichimaru as my render.

-- Hokay the render that I chose isn't really nice since the his fluttering white robe could cover our background..

but.. we don't have to worry about that since even if we re-size it, it won't really cover the background since his cape is far from his face.

There are renders that sometimes cover your background because of their cape our stuff like that. I suggest that you do not use that render since it covers up you background but meh it's your choice.

3. Now duplicate you render and take out your smudge tool [R]. Use the spatter brush and smudge around the sides of your render. Just smudge around the parts where you think the render would look like he's 'powering up' I set this layer to lighten and erased parts that didn't look good.

4. I duplicated the render twice this time and brought the layers all the way to the top. Go to filters > blur > motion blur I set the angle of the other duplicated render to -50 while the other has an angle of 50.

5. Move the two layers a position where they'll look good. Here's mine:

6. Merge the two motion blur layers then set to linear dodge or whatever setting suits your work.

7. Now create a new layer (layer > new > new layer) and fill it with black. Take a 100-200 px soft brush then brush once in the area where you think the light should be coming from. Basically where creating a light source.

8. Set this layer to 'Screen' or 'Lighten' whatever is nice for you.

9. Create another layer and then go to Image > Apply Image. After that go to Filters > Brush strokes > Spatter. Leave the default settings. You should get something like this.

We don't want something like that do we? So erase parts that don't look good/are over the render

10. Okay, so the color of the background is quite dull so I went to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance. I set that layer to Lighten at 80% opacity. Althought it's still quite dull -___-

11. Create another new layer and take out some 'Vector' brushes. Brush around the areas you would like. Then I set this layer to 'Overlay' with 70% opacity.

12. Then go to layer > new adjustment layer > gradient map. Pick the black/white gradient map and set to soft light at 80%

I added other gradient maps and came up with this:

13. Add the text

14. Create a new layer and using the magic wand tool [W] select on the the empty layer and go to Edit > Stroke choose the px and the color and TA-DAH! Your done with the border.. and the sig XD

Very Nice Tut. It could be easily done in GIMP as well. I might make a GIMP form and post it here if you do not mind.
