Hana is a physically small woman, but is surprisingly strong and agile. She has short black hair and bright green eyes. Her skin is tanned, somewhat dark. Although her body is somewhat petite, it is still well toned, showing that she spends a lot of time training her body. She wears unassuming clothing, light shinobi style cloth, more so for modesty than protection, along with mesh beneath the cloth. She usually goes barefooted, preferring to be able to feel the earth beneath her. She sometimes however will wear black tabi. Has delicate features. On both her wrists and ankles she has training weights that she wears almost constantly, allowing her to train passively as well. She usually keeps her headband on her right thigh. On her left thigh is a pouch for her projectiles. She sometimes stores some of them in her top as well.

Personality: Hana is the kind of person everyone wants to have as a friend. She is respectable to her peers and values the opinions of others. She is normally a very outgoing person, expressing her opinion regardless of whether or not its wanted. She gets along with virtually all people, treating even those who mistreat her with respect. She also has a tendency to be a flirt with both males and females that she likes, or at least finds attractive. She is more likely to flirt with people she likes, however. She is easily irritated when older men try to woo her, at least if their over 18 years of age. Whenever she is confronted by an individual of higher rank, or one of her superiors, she treats them with the utmost respect. She rarely disobeys an order from a superior unless it significantly contradicts her beliefs. Hana is a passive aggressive person, meaning that she will only fight if it is deemed necessary, but will be ruthless and merciless in battle if her or a comrade's life is at risk. She despises killing, but will not hesitate to kill an enemy if she has no other choice. She also has a fascination with flowers and is a naturalist.

Background: Hana was born on the day her uncle died. Because of this, her father secretly despised her. The first few years of her life, she was raised almost solely by her mother. However, on her 4th birthday, her parents were approached by a ninja from the village, and requested that their daughter be trained as a shinobi, due to their lack of ninja at the time. Her father continuously argued with the recruiter, but her mother figured that she may be able to live a better and more comfortable life if she did. The ninja of the village were usually taken care of. Her father, of course, disagreed. His brother who had died on the day she was born, was also a shinobi who had died on assignment. Even through the scrutiny of her father, she began training to become a ninja. Her grandfather, whom was always her favorite, was an expert martial artist who prided himself not only on his skills, but on his righteous nature. Less than a week after the shinobi approached her, she confronted her grandfather, who had refused his choice to become a shinobi many years ago. He had decided that he would rather continue to hone his skills and become great, without the chains that the shinobi would bind him in. However, he told her to do what she felt was right for her to do. So, she agreed to join the shinobi and attend the academy when she was old enough. Until then, she trained with her grandfather. He was not an easy teacher, he trained her as an equal, not as a student, making her push herself to her breaking point with every training experience. Above all else, he taught her the values that he himself held sacred. To believe solely in one's own abilities, but to accept the help of your friends when you need it. To treat all of those around one with proper respect, but to refuse those who didn't deserve it. To extend one's hand in kindness towards his peers, but to turn the hand offensively if threatened. When she was 6, her grandfather gave her weighted wraps for her wrists and ankles, to further increase her training potential. During these training sessions, she sometimes became seriously injured, and had to recover for days before attempting it again. This method of training continued until she was 8 year old, and entered the academy, where she was taught the basic fundamentals of ninjutsu. Even during the time she trained in the academy, she continue training with her grandfather. He found ways to further their training by implementing the things she learned from the academy into the training sessions. While most would think her understanding of ninjutsu would make the training easier, it only made it all the more difficult. The training continued growing harder all the time, because he refused to lessen up on her, for fear she would grow still and weak. At 12, she graduated from the academy, and was granted the genin rank within the shinobi world. While her grandfather was a strong and strict sensei, he was still a kind man at heart. He spent the last of his wealth, and gave her a celebration, inviting all of her friends. She had never been so happy in her entire life than she was during that day. Her bond with her grandfather grew even greater. The next day however, her grandfather died of natural causes. Stricken with grief, her training dwindled, and she grew still. She became shy and quiet, staying away from people to the best of her ability. This continued for roughly 6 months until her father confronted her, telling her that her grandfather would be sickened by what she had done with herself. He scolded her, telling her that he had wasted all of his time and the last years of his life on her. Enraged by his words, she struck her father and wounded him. In doing so, she realized the truth of what he had said, and that her strength hadn't dwindled nearly as much as she had thought. But most of all, she learned that she needed training, much more. She vowed that she would never again attack in anger, for it was a sign of weakness, not strength. So, when she was 13, she began training again, this time, on her own. Her training increased from day to day, growing more challenging all the time. During the next year, she became close to her father, and finally had the bond with him she had wanted her entire life. When she was 14, her mother died mysteriously, and her father had disappeared. Another tragedy had befallen her, but to honor her parents and her grandfather, she didn't stop her training, nor did it even slow. In fact, just the opposite happened. Her training skyrocketed, and became more intense than ever. With each training session, she exhausted her chakra to the point that she was barely able to survive. Being an only child, she had no family left. She began spending more and more time with her friends, fueling her desire to be surrounded by those she cared about. When she turned 15, she spent more time with her friends than training, feeling that too much training left her wounded far too often. She wouldn't be able to do missions effectively. She had met many shinobi in her lifetime, but always kept a select few favorites. Within the past six months, she has focused on meditation, attempting to train her chakra levels and chakra control, so she could better utilize jutsu.
