The Tsuchikage had spent most of the past few days tending to his village, those who could be rescued had been and those who were not so lucky had been given a proper burial. Now it was time for the rebuilding process to start, but first Yasuo had some training he needed to do, the sage felt that he had not been on top form recently, perhaps it was the injury he sustained in his fight with Tamotsu, but regardless something was off and he intended to correct himself. And so the young kage had now made it to an old training field which was no longer used by the village shinobi and had become one of his favourite places to train, Yasuo smiled as he reminisced. Soon enough the young man had a book out in front of him, it was an old tome he had discovered on his journies which held knowledge of some particularly unique jutsu including several which turned hair into a weapon. This had intrigued Yasuo and he had now made it his mission to master these techniques, and get back on form in the process.

Yasuo quickly flicked through the old and yellowed pages of the book till he found the one he was searching for, marked by a folded-down corner, the sage smiled as he quickly read over the effects of the 'Wild Lion's Mane Technique" and how it was to be performed. Yasuo made a humming noise and slowly closed the tome, placing it safely back in a pouch attached to his waist. "Right..." The kage said slowly and he made a few quick hand seals as he channeled his chakra through his body and into his hair, charging the fibres with power. Yasuo watched patiently as his fringe flickered before his eyes, though he was not sure if this was due to the wind.

The young kage was disappointed but not disheartened at his failure, in fact the failure had motivated him more to learn how to manipulate his hair as a weapon. Yasuo smiled and once again passed through the motion of the hand seals, concentrating more this time instead of taking the jutsu lightly and focussed the chakra throughout each individual hair, right down to the roots. This time he saw immediate results as his hair more that quadrupled in length, Yasuo smiled as the mass of white hair moved around him, "Well then...Let's see" He said quietly and attmepted to manipulate his hair to attack a nearby tree. To the kage's pleasure he found that his hair responded instantly and raced toward the tree, smashing straight through the trunk and sending bark and spinters flying all around. Yasuo raised an eyebrow as his hair slowly returned to its natural length, he had not expected such an effective weapon.

The kage reached back behind his waist and explored the pouch where he had placed the book, when he had it in his grasp he brought it round in front of him and held it with one hand whilst the other remained at a right angle behind his back as an aristocrat. When Yasuo had found the page he was looking for he smiled, it appeared there was a way to take the jutsu he had just learned and turn it to a projectile form. The kage supposed this would be very useful if ever he was captured and stripped of his weapons, for the next few minutes Yasuo would slowly read through the technique and the instructions on its usage.

As the young man read he noted that his assumption had been correct, the 'Kebari Senbon' would indeed be a most useful technique, however it was not as he first thought; that it would only be useful if he had no other projectiles weapons on his person. The Tsuchikage now realised that this jutsu would be useful in any situation, an unquestionably stron material combined with incredible speed, what else was there to want? Yasuo chuckled to himself at the thought and once again replaced the book back in his pouch. As soon as he had done this the kage quickly passed through the motions of the jutsu and focussed the chakra into his hair in much the same way he had done only a few minutes prior. He supposed that this would be easier to master than the Wild Lion's Mane Technique now that he had the main idea down.

Yasuo narrowed his eyes and focussed as he came to the end of the sequence of handseals "Now!" He thought to himself as he felt the hair on his head harden to an impossible degree. Suddenly the immediate area before the kage was hidden under the dense rain of needles which had left his head. Fortunately no sooner had the needles left Yasuo's scalp than they had grown back, the kage blinked in surprise, the tree before him which had previously only had one large hole from a prior attack by his hair was now absolutely riddled with small holes from his hair. The sage was surprised the timber was even still standing and moved closer to inspect it in admiration, but as he did so Yasuo heard a telltale creak and his face dropped as the tree began to fall.

Yasuo cursed as he watched the large tree begin to fall, he didn't want any ANBU arriving to see what had made a loud crash in what was supposed to be a disused training ground, nor did he want anyone to disturb him in general. The kage formulated his plan in a matter of seconds, it was simple, but simple is usually best. The kage quickly went through a string of hand seals before shouting "Mud Clone Jutsu!" as he said this several identical Yasuo's rose up from the ground and dashed towards the tree. The clones grabbed the trunk as it fell and prevented it from crashing into the ground at any speed. The kage smiled and his clones turned and smiled back at him, it appeared as if they wanted something as all three now drew their swrds.

The Tsuchikage assessed the clones before him and smirked, he knew what they were after and he was not going to deny them, in fact he would quite enjoy a little spar, though he didn't know if it would last long, they are after all, only clones. "Very well" He said with a little chuckle and a wave of his hand as all three clones made a familiar facial expression and dived towards him with swords raised. The real Yasuo sighed as he watched the oncoming attack, both hands were held behind his back and he had a lazy expression on his face. The young man easily dodged all three attacks with a single fluid movement and at the same time quickly passed through a short string of handseals and turned to face the three clones who were still in the air. Without a moment's hesitation the kage spat out three fireballs which moved with a rapid pace towards their targets and intercepted them before they even touched the ground, incinerating them.

Yasuo smiled as the clones were destroyed, indeed he wished that every fight could be that easy, but of course he knew that would never be true, he glanced down to his ankle which only a few days had been broken and grimaced. Yasuo had resolved that the injury had been sustained because he had been careless, he had thrown himself into the fight with Tamotsu and disregarded living for the sake of killing his former master. So now he decided that he would in future not lose his cool but would fight smart, and what is smarter than misdirection? If the opponent isn't looking at you how can they defend your attack? Yasuo smiled, he had once again taken out the book and had found a jutsu which mimicked his thoughts. The jutsu itself seemed simple enough and the sage quickly made the handseals, suddenly he was surrounded by upwards of fifty perfect clones of himself. "Interesting" he thought to himself.

The tsuchikage looked around at the clones which now surrounded him, it would definately be difficult for someone to discern which was the real one. Unless Yasuo spoke however, which presented a problem as the kage would likely only use this technique in a situation where the opponent could be reasoned with, however if they knew which was the real Yasuo then he may as well not even bother. The young kage's brow creaqsed in frustration and he flicked through the tome quickly, searching for something which would allow him to converse and keep up the charade. In a few minutes Yasuo had found what he was looking for and a smile spread accross his face, he quickly made a few hand seals "Utsusemi no Jutsu!" He said, yet his voice sounded different, he could hear himself on all sides, it was now impossible to discern which Yasuo was the real one simply by listening.
