“Tomatsu always loved the mountains and wilderness so If I’m going to find him. This is the best place.” Renima looked from the peak that stood a good thousand feet above the land below, and saw how beautiful this country was. He was sad he had ever had to fight here. He also knew by premonition that his stupid cousin he had almost died to protect no more than a hundred miles from here was now dead. Renima smiled at that thought. He wasn’t angry about that at all. He knew his cousin was probably being beaten by the falcon lord right now, and with his stupid rebellion he deserved it. He knew that others were out there for him to train and possibly a village to run if he could pull it off once again.

Renima sat down and started to meditate. He let his many thoughts flourish and expand in his mind and then condensed them into a space smaller than the period on this page. Placing it all into the very back of his mind to achieve it for future use. For now he would forget all and see what the spirit world would bring him, and perhaps it would drag his old student to him.

Tamotsu had been walking back to the battle site to collect samples of the ground to test the elemental affinity of Raiji. He sighed knowing it would be a long day but he would grin and bare it. He began collecting the dirt samples when a familiar scent hit his nose. He stopped and then looked to the west. He began a long line of super-range shunshins towards the direction where the scent had come from and then stood before his former master, cousin and friend, Renima. He stood there with a crystalline spear on his back and then raised a brow. It was odd the the Falcon User would come this far. And odder yet was the reason he would soon discover.

"I appreciate the effort it took to find me. But it's you who has never really apologized for destroying my faith that bothers me. Tell me, Renima, why are you here?"

Renima opened one eye and squinted as if the sun was blinding him. “If you could please move your head a little to the left” Renima was joking and smiled. He knew his student was serious, and he also realized that it was almost dark and the sun was right in front of him. He most have been meditating for several hours, and that would explain why the spirits brought Tamotsu to him so soon. Renima sighed and looked down at his chest. He wasn’t sure why, but it happened any ways. In fact he was even muttering something and also wasn’t sure what that was about either. “Your not that hard to find. I knew you had left the Kiri and headed back home by reading the news paper. Then I knew you love the out doors better than any place, and the mountains are what drew you to iwa anyways. Then I just started to meditate. Your too predictable, but of coarse you should have known you would see this old man once again.”

Renima did indeed look older. He was aged far beyond most shinobi’s life span and he took glory in that. Of coarse it was foolishness, but that was besides the point. “I think I’m here to make amends. I don’t know if I can do that, but its about time I did that anyways….” Renima stood up and stared into his students eyes. He was truly proud of him. He had became strong and sadly followed in his foot steps but with confusion got a bit off the beaten path. That’s ok though, shinobi were only human, and humans were evil enough to cause confusion, and thus this was the natural coarse however wrong it might be. “I’m proud of who you are becoming. Stay true to your home, I’m sorry for what I’ve caused, and Hope I can somehow repent and make up for it, but its most likely beyond that point. I know a simple sorry won’t suffice.”

"I see." Tamotsu said as he looked at Renima and then raised his head to the left as he was asked. "It would also have nothing to do with my blessing on you returning to the Hokage spot?" Tamotsu said sharply. Renima was right, Tamotsu had read the newspaper religiously and had been informed that Konoha had been left Kageless for the umpteenth time. He looked at his former teacher and then looked to the sky. "The pain you cause has left marks on this world. You could have saved me but instead you chose to give into fear. Chaos erupted and Konoha was nearly destroyed." Tamotsu said as he moved away from Renima. But as he did, a stark cold feeling hit the back of his neck. He looked off to the far south and could see a darkness that was unnatural.

"Renima... if I forgave you, will you allow me to return home with you when this is over?" Tamotsu asked as he looked at the unnatural darkness.

“blessing for hokage…that would be interesting…aren’t we both traitors in the eyes of the counsil? Unless things have changed that much since I left. I would indeed like to be hokage once again, and use that title to fix what I have done, and you know I can do that, but do I deserve redemption? I am a cursed man, with a cursed name, who only those who meet me as I now am have any compassion for me. None the less If I am forgiven I will allow you to return, and I will not make the same mistakes again.” Renima sighed as he felt the same darkness come over him that was hitting Tamotsu. He knew this feeling and it was never a good thing. Last time Kiri was nearly destroyed, and Konoha was lead down a dark path by the force of Ukyo. He wished to return and surpass the former glory of the fire nation and he was more than capable of doing such a feet. “That darkness is a problem, Its over Oto…and I don’t like it one bit. No one is in konoha to defend it right now, at least not of the strength to fight off demons like the last time a cloud of that sort appeared in this land….” Renima went to step towards the cliff and then a vision came to him. It was a village, not his own, being destroyed almost instantly. Every bit of resistance was destroyed with ease. It was a strange thing to see, for Renima had been on both the receiving and delivering end of such force and power. Yet this vision almost knocked him back on his feet. “So that’s the strange feeling I had when meditating.”

Tamotsu said as he walked by Renima and then as if he forgot their roles, began to ruffle his hair. Tamotsu was indeed older and in ways, surpassed Renima in power. The old Tamotsu was forgotten behind veils of the truth and pains of the past. He stood there wondering what would come. If he could run from here to there, what would happen. He was scared to think. But he closed his eyes, soon his answer would come.

"I will not allow you Hokage. If you wish to take it, you'll have to make me disbelieve I am to be Hokage." He said sharply.

“ So sad, so violent. Were both wanting power, for some reason. We’ve both been at the top of the world and discovered the only way to go is down, just as Oto is about too. If you want to be Hokage that’s fine, but I wonder what will happen to Iwa? It is your home, a place you built with your own hands just as I have with Konoha. Sure we both started with another’s work, but had to tear away all the problems to save our sanctuary. I know not how to prove to you my worth, if its fighting then Why should I waist my time. I’m one who wants peace remember? I will only fight to protect it, and its easier to watch from the side line and do a nations dirty work than to let that nation bring its own crimes to bare. What do you think I’ve been doing for the last few years, running around with no purpose? I became Fushigi for a reason, None the less do as you wish” Renima stood still and watched as the sun set was falling away, and twilight was coming to pass, but still Oto was darker than the rest of the sky, it was almost like daylight was all around, except in Oto.

You swore a promise to me to never leave my side and yet you do. You want peace but created hell. You gave birth to the abomination that is me and now you think I want to fight you? How naive. Exactly why you don't deserve Konoha. Iwagakure has fine ninja in here stables. The horse sage and a former Sage both reside her. They can protect her better then one Inuzuka can. There was a time me and you together would have been feared. But now, you're a fugitive seeking acceptance and I am a broken mirror of reflections."

Tamotsu walked forward and looked at the darkness. "In the end, you came here to ask me, how do you repent. Simple, go to the path where the darkness is strongest. And when you've suffered, then call upon your soul, and accept who you are. Then you would have shown me."

He then disappeared out of sight.

“Yes I realize we are both like fire. We started with Life, and now we have died. All of our achievements and reputation, all of our dreams have been destroyed, and now is the time of rebirth, and that only comes through what you speak of, but I have already done that. I used repentance to describe our relationship. I have found myself.” Renima sighed and stood up, he looked off the edge before him, and decided this would be fun. The thought was crazy, but he knew of its purpose, his fear of death was gone, his desire to stay alive for his own sake was gone, if he couldn’t live on for others then he had no reason to exist. All would be vain, and he would then go to meet the falcon lord. He would rid himself of this life, and begin a new one. “I found my life, my aspirations, my existence is meaningless, unless I put others before me at all times. If I cannot serve them, then so be it. If I cannot restore them, then so be it.” Renima walked to the edge of the cliff and fell face forward, with his arms spread wide. He didn’t mean to die here, but to make the point he no longer cared for his own life. He hoped this would come across to his student, but with youth comes foolishness, and in his eyes this would perhaps appear foolishness. However he hoped his student would see the truth in his eyes, his motives, his actions, Renima was no longer Renima or Fushigi, but something more. He was something far beyond those two entities. Instead he was becoming love, a lover of people, and only people. A hater of self, a Spartan in a sense, and a servant to all.
