OOC: This Match is between Sakaai Sozen V. Benijiro Battle will begin when topic is unlocked. Note that it is sunny, clear skies and humid. The coliseum in width is about 100 meters wide, and from hieght is about 60 meters high. The coliseum is beige colored, and the ground is full of grass and there are a few trees on the outskirts of the arena. There are also many types of insects including spiders and catapillers, and other like insects. OOC:sorry minato i just got back from a three day festival that i was working. btw my name only has one i in it so its spelled BENJIRU
IC: I received the summons for this tournament in konoha as i begin my travel. the traveling didn't take to long,about three days, when i arrived to hi no kuni it was a sunny humid day apon entering the coliseum for the tournament. I walk through only to see others have been called to even one of the mizunaka clan from his village. I hear my name called and my opponents as i stand there waiting to begin my match. I see everyone els move off from the field knowing that its time for my match. I move to the center of the field awaiting my match" My the best fighter win"i said as i more my right leg behind my left with my right hand behind my back leaving my left leg out and my left hand facing my opponent palm facing to the right.
The chuunin looked at me and then to my opponent signaling that in a few moments that the match would begin." The match will begin shortly now its the time to gett ready" he said once my opponent comes down from the stands. Sozen walked, feeling his breath pour out amongst the stands, feeling his heartbeat pump blood into his ears, a cacophony of dissonance that rose to a level of volume that refused him any other sound. Otogakure had just been destroyed, his mother had just been killed, all his friends were either dead or missing, everything was chaos, nobody knew anything, except that Kumogakure had done it. Sozen narrowed his eyes towards the center of the Arena as he walked down the stairs, each step deliberate, emanating his despair and the rage which threatened to consume every sensibility he had left. He saw his opponent, standing, looking up at him with eyes that were calm, eyes that failed to comprehend the depth of Sozen's emptiness, the pain in his heart exceeded only by a morbid and absolute determination to achieve his goal. Power, the one thing that seemed to solve problems in this world, power, and winning this tournament, winning this match, would lead to that, would lead to more power, and more control over his own life.
Sozen's feet touched the arena ground and he crouched, feeling the sun's heat upon his back, the air seeming to compress around him, and dug a small pile of dirt from the ground, washing his hands with it. "He's older than me, therefore stronger and faster, best not to get too close until I have to.", he thought to himself. Sozen stood and walked a good twenty meters from his opponent, one Benijiro, and faced him, one hand hanging down his side, the other on his belt, near his weapons pouch. Sozen hadn't spoken in the three days it had taken him to cross to Konohagakure from the border of Kusagakure, and felt his dry throat crack as he put it to use. "Sakaai, Sozen, present.".
The Examiner narrowed his eyes at both of them, then dropped his hand in a chop and yelled, "Begin!". I saw that he was keeping his hands near his weapons when i started to run at Sakaai."lets"i said running only to speed up to half of my speed. I looked at him seeing almost the entire field start to blur to the sides of my vision. I come up on Sakaai Throwing my left leg to sweep Sakaai. I follow my sweep with a quick kick to the gut only to send him flying about 3 ft away. I stand there after my attack taking my stance again.I await for Sakaai to get up before i head off to make my second attack.I stand there making a hand seal forming a clone only to then make the clone run off for the next attack. I move in running next to my clone for my attack jumping behind Sakaai. Sozen saw Benijiro run towards him, fast enough to note the total lack of consideration and caution he had, before he was sweeped off of his feet and launched a few feet away. Landing with a flip back onto his feet, Sozen saw him coming again, this time with a single clone to attack on two fronts. "Either he's headstrong and thinks he's good enough to beat me out right, or he doesn't have anything to rely on that would perform better than his own body. Either way, as expected he packs quite a punch, he wouldn't get that way unless he puts alot of time into his Taijutsu, or else he's a genius, in which case I'm screwed anyhow.", Sozen thought to himself.
Rubbing the blood off of his split lip, Sozen formed two handseals and called out, "Bunshin no Jutsu.", forming two clones out of thin air beside him. The clones immediately ran out to confront Benijiro and his clone, and Sozen jumped back, letting fly two shurikens, one to each Benijiro. The clones would block Benijiro and his clone's line of sight while the shurikens traveled to their destination, the shurikens would dispel the clones when they struck through them, but only superhuman reflexes could dodge them by that time. OOC: its not hard to doge a shuriken they dont move vary fast. they are easy to doge
I smirked seeing him move and form the two clones i think that they are here to slow me down I thought to myself forming the handseals "Bushin no jutsu" making one more clone to make three running at Sakaai at one time two were clones and one was real. I looked up seeing the shuriken coming at me with only two of them going for the three of me. The shuriken hit me in the arm as i jumped to the right only nicking my arm with a bit of a scratch and one of the clones disperse. me and the there continue to move getting withing hand to hand combat. i throw a punch with my left hand aiming for his head following it up with another kick with my right leg going for the side of his face.
The crowd for this tournament starts to cheer seeing that the Sunagakure shinobi was fast and strong compared to Sakaai. With the chuunin looking in shock not seeing a shinobi move like that at his age"he has to be a Taijutsu specialist"he said while the boys are on the other side of the arena. I start to plan for his next five moves as well as my counters. [OOC:] You're correct, it's not hard, except that you're three feet away from me, as you said in your own post, and accommodating for you rushing towards me while I was thinking, that's two feet at the least, if not one. In that respect, it's very hard to dodge a shuriken thrown directly at you that you can't see when you're two feet away. Also, for logics' sake, I must say that even though you made a third clone, it wouldn't matter because Sozen threw two shurikens when there were two of you, meaning the addition of a third wouldn't have mattered, since one of them was already going straight for you. This doesn't matter however, since you still rp'ed getting hit, just thought I'd bring it up.[OOC]
Sozen bit back a curse as Benijiro only got scratched by the Shuriken, and formulated a last minute plan* as he came into Taijutsu range. Sozen ducked both the kick and the punch, as they were both directed towards his head, formed a series of apparently useless handseals while below Benijiro's line of vision, took a Kunai out of his weapon pouch, twirled it, and stabbed towards the stomach of the Benijiro that had just attacked intending to gut him from neck to naval.

Description: A ninjutsu used to trap the opponent in the ground. The user must first get underground and directly below the target, after which they will pull the enemy into the ground so that only their head remains overground as they emerge on the surface. The collapsing ground will effectively block the victim's movement as they fall into the hole, so it will take them some time to escape, if they are able to on their own at all. This jutsu can be used to pull an opponent underground completely, but in that case a firm layer of earth or rock will not be created around the target's body and they will be able to escape much easier.

Sozen created a clone with the handseals he made out of Benijiro's line of sight, and used Shinjuu no Jutsu, replacing himself with a clone...so basically the Sozen attempting to stab Benijiro is just a harmless clone...

IC:The clone that was attacking behind formed a few handseals switching his body with the real benjiru. The kunai hit the clone that now was the one attacking as the real one going into a puff of smoke while i threw a kick to his back. I begin to run to the wall of the arena to hid behind one of the trees that also gave some shade from the heat though i was use to it. waiting for my opponent i start o form a new plan < if i don't finish this soon this match could take forever but he is using more chakra then i am. > i thought < he is most likely to be a ninjutsu user with some genjutsu just from the way he is making the clones i know that i will be done for if i stay at the distance which is why i am closing the gap between up. > I look around the tree only to know that i have the upper hand in hand to hand combat. I take off running at him thinking fast to form the new attack plans. I get ready to doge and strike for anything. I stop only 5 Feet away from him takeing my stance again.

Name: Gouken Ryuu - Strong Fist Style
Requirements: Taijutsu Major or Taijutsu Specialist, each level must be trained separately as a jutsu of your character's current rank (S-rank with twice the post amount for SS-rank characters) and in order
Description: This taijutsu style is not an actual style as it does not have any specific movement pattern or exceptional techniques, rather it is an extreme mastery of common hand-to-hand combat that can only be accomplished by those highly skilled in taijutsu. It does have a specific stance: one arm held in front with the open palm facing the user while the other is held behind their back and the feet are close by each other forming an almost ninty-degree angle - but it doesn't serve any purpose and all the attacks of this style are direct. Practitioners of this style have higher speed and strength compared to others.

Sozen was...dark, dark, but still conscious, he felt things...he knew things, vibrations, sounds. He felt Benjirou's attack, and allowed himself what amounted to a small smirk as the clone he had left in place of himself was destroyed, along with another of Benjirou's clones, leaving one left. Fortunately the decision was taken out of Sozen's hands, as he surmised that the Benjirou running directly away from him, then back to only a short-medium distance, was the real one. As only the real one would have had the mental capacity to try and put distance between himself and the attacker, and then realize that his best chance of winning this fight came in close combat , where Sozen was obviously weakest, and so correct his course to come back in Taijutsu range of Sozen. "Of course, it could all be a trap, in which case I'd be screwed once again. Chakra, chakra, chakra, chakra....everything takes chakra."*, he thought to himself, forming the handseals for unburrowing and a few extra besides.
Sozen felt the drain on him, the cold leeching into his soul, but he wasn't done yet...he had alot of fight left in him, and he honestly didn't have anything to lose. Suddenly, with absolutely no warning, Sozen erupted from the ground below Benjirou, drawing a Kunai and stabbing straight for his chest, a battle cry loosing itself from his lips as he struck with all the speed he could muster, the razor edge of the Kunai glinting in the midday sun as it began its deadly decent towards his foe.

Sozen sent a clone to unearth and stab Benjirou, while he is still underground, so that if Benjirou makes any last defensive measures they can be countered by the real sozen, and if he does not the real sozen can be the suprise attack.
