Posted: Fri Apr 24, 2009 4:07 pm Post subject: City of the Dead: Act 1, Chapter 1
Time: 4 hours after the infection. Tuesday April 11, 12:35 PM
The Park:
This place probably suffered very little, compared to the rest of the city. The infection did not pass it by, though it came later and in small amounts. Additionally, escaping the park was easy. At present time, only several dozen flesh-eaters roamed the green, and there were only a few visitors still left around - those who decided it was safer to stay in a place where you could always run away than locking themselves in somewhere.
The Stadium:
The corridors are filled with corpses and the walking dead. In the original panic, many people lost their lives not to these cannibalistic creatures, but to other human beings like themselves. It was probably a more horrifying sight to witness than the undead themselves: parents abandoning their children, people literally running over one another - all in their attempts to preserve their own lives. The true nature of humans was revealed completely at that time. Barely one tenth on those who tried to escape in the first wave made it out: those that did not get crushed in the stampede turned into easy prey for the zombies as they exerted the capacity of the halls.
The rest, about forty people, were now scattered all over the stadium, hiding away in closets and lockers, trapped inside the building by several hundred creatures hungry for their flesh.
High School:
"No running in the halls". That rule didn't exist just for discipline: the halls were quite narrow, and with the amount of students here, running would inevitably lead to an accident. It was probably these cursed halls that made this place the most dangerous building to be trapped inside of. Not only would avoiding the flesh eaters be extremely hard, but because of this, every single person who died there that day had turned into one themselves: they were all bitten during the initial panic. The survivors were those who lagged behind, kept their cool or were too oblivious to start running from the start. A large three-story building now held over two hundred cannibals, who were hunting down the handful of humans scattered through different rooms and corners.
The Mall:
Despite everything, it was pure luck that the disaster struck when it did: at that time of day, only a very few of the Mall's shops have just opened, and it being a weekday, there was practically zero shoppers. In the beginning, whoever was inside the Mall was safe from the zombies: that is, until one of them made a display of how poor a designer choice glass walls really are. The place was quickly overrun, however, not possessing any intelligence, the undead mostly remained by the front entrance and relatively close to it, only a few blindly venturing deeper into the building. Relative to the amount of people present at the time of the infection, there were the least casualties here.
OOC: Each post, I'm going to mod the events at each location with a character and then post as my character. The exception is above: those are just intro posts, and I'll make my first character post on the next round
Just to clarify: the posting order will be decided by the first round. It MUST NOT be broken. If a person skips their turn for two days (48 hours) without notifying the crew, their character will be killed so the RP can continue
Edit by Moderator: I didn't expect I'd have to do this, definitely not so soon. But as you can see, if someone's post is plainly horrible, I kill them by editing their post. This happens if you break RP rules. In this case, Amegaki shadow-played the world into starting in a location different from what he was assigned, and Shadowdmn god-moded to a crazy extent.

It was like a bad fan fiction. Something you'd think someone with a sick demented fantasy to create. But it wasn't. The screams, the blood. Nothing was more real then what I saw on the cameras. Every one who ran in the initial shock of everything ran into them. But it was out of bad luck. They managed to break through on a bad design flaw. The moment the glass shattered, so did reality. Maybe I was lucky, my laziness saved me a dark fate. But it put me in a worse predicament. I passed out in the food court, just outside of the juice bar. Mira told me to come to the office to rest since I looked tired. And so I did. And then it happened. Now I'm stuck in this room. 150 cameras, 300 stores, The first floor crawling with the one thing blocking my escape. From this room, it's a straight hall out to the third floor balcony in the back end of the building. No exits on this side. What do I do? What can I do? What should I do? Where do I begin?
Yukimaru stood up from the corner of the rectangular Security office, his arms marked with the imprints of his shorts. His left pocket seemed to bulge out a bit as something occupied the space. He walked over to the monitors labeled 1-25 and began looking at each one. He dug into his pocket and took out a small Stun Gun and looked at it.
"It's been a while since I fired this. Training for it was a hassle since I didn't really want to stun the volunteer. But this is different. If I don't, then..." He looked down and then closed his eyes. "... I can't."
He pressed a button on the computer there before him and the pictures on all the monitors changed to that of the entrance floor. He could see a large group of them in the front entrance. The monitor showed a few stragglers moving about and even one dumb enough to make it to the escalator but kept falling down on it.
"If I can make it to the Toy Store on the second floor, I can get Mira's hand radio and try to contact the other Security officers. If any..." He looked at the door and then looked at the desk where the computer rested. There was a key card and a ring of keys. "These keys will make alot of noise as I move. I'll have to make them press tight against my skin to lessen the sound. The key card should work to open the basement with the employee parking lot and the security locker. I know that Mira keeps a handgun there in case of an extreme emergency." He thought to himself as he grabbed the keys and the card. There was a sudden explosion and scrapping of metal as a lone survivor was thrown clean of what was a helicopter. As the survivor slid across the floor with his gear it was obvious that he had beaten all odds. Somehow he was alive but for how long time would tell. As the survivor dragged himself to his feet using the butt of his M4 carbine he stumbled a little as he struggled to regain his eyesight.
What... Where am I? What just happened? Where’s my squad? As the lone soldier regained focus his attention turned to the burning remains of his only ticket in and out of the city.
“I guess I’m going to die on a mission finally.” Laughing the lone soldier scavenged any equipment and ammo he could. What he did actually find wasn’t much, a radio here, a couple of flares there, but not one single bit of ammo. All he had was two single magazines for his M4 and a couple of magazines for his pistol. Taking a deep breath he began to scan the darkened car park and saw no-one, living or dead.
As his gazed wondered to the stadium two ideas popped into his head he could either A), check for any survivors. Who knows they could have weapons. Or he could use option B), screw the survivors and head east towards the river. _________________ Roleplaying Characters: Locron Hicross Gideon Hicross Syra Hyuuga RPG Stats: Shinobi Rank: C-Rank Missing [C] (loc), Genin (Gid), Jonin (Syra) Village: Kirigakure (Locron) Kono(gideon & Syra) Fame: 50 ~ 250 ~ 400 Reputation: Training Points: 0 Inventory: 30x senbon, 1x Wakizashi, 5x Kunia ~~ Zemchi, 15x spider suicide, ten fingure blades.
A steady, uncanny beat resonated through the young girls trembling body. Hairs rose on her arms and her head looked from side to side in an erratic, unpredictable movement as if expecting the unexpected; the impossible; well, the improbable, more like. She whispers under her breath, ‘just a dream…’ but she loses the argument with herself. This bizarre, no, insane phenomena was not a dream or even a cruel joke. It was reality. And so, she lifted herself from her crouching position to peer from the window of the top floor of her school. The car alarm that was sounding grew louder as she inched her face closer to the transparent pane. She cringed and let out a slight yelp at the sight. It was… one of them. It pressed its thin body against the scarlet Ford… pushing its pale face against the window and leaving breath marks imprinted upon the glass.
“Just… get out of here…” She spoke towards the creature, but such a distance made her efforts fruitless. Not that she really wanted the thing to know where she found refuge, but the idea was comforting at the very least. Slumping back to the floor, she hugged her knees, looking straight toward the single door to the classroom. A faint line of light could be seen passing in underneath the pine… but every so often, a shadow would cross that same light in which breathing stopped and heart pounded. It took at least ten minutes for those scares to dissolve into faint anxiety build up and the girl returned to watching the light in near insanity.
Five minutes passed… twenty… half an hour… thirty seven minutes? She lost count. Finally, the girl pushed herself to her feet, shaky at first before gaining reasonable balance. She glimpsed the parking lot just beyond the window one last time and her breathing staggered slightly when she noticed the creature was gone. With a final lungful of air, she straightened her skirt and closed her eyes, stepping with hushed feet towards the edge of the English classroom and rested her quivering fingertips on the doorknob. Without looking down (or opening her eyes for that matter) she wrapped the same, icy fingers around the silver knob. She didn’t even notice the shadow passing underneath the door… Roleplaying Characters: Akane Matsuo RPG Stats: Shinobi Rank: C-Rank Chuunin Village: Sand Fame: 0 Reputation: Training Points: N/A Inventory: Kunai x10; Explosion Tag x5; Katana; 100m Wire; Smoke Bomb x3
Corey swung his M4 Carbine down, lighting up the few zombies that occaisonally saw him. He was trained in this type of environment so it was nothing new. He would occaisonally hide back in the shadows like he was taught. He would then come out like a ghost and kill what had seen him. He was just playing with them. He would never try to lock himself in, fear that he would run out of ammo and be forced to fight up close. He walked along the shadows, dodging zombies that passed by unnoticing him. He came up to an area in which he could hear the fire of another M4. He was running out of ammo and needed someone to cover him while he either reloaded or put his gun away for later use. He ran along in the shadows towards the sounds of the guns and explosions, putting his gun away and pulling his magnum out. He was hoping he wouldn't need to do anything rash. He really wished he hadn't neglected to learn longrange technique with a sniper. He walked along the shadows, pulling his radio down, trying to find a signal.
"Come in, come in, this is Corey Dawn. U.S. Staff Sergeant. Come on, Come on!" He was getting a little aggravated and if he dared, scared of the area. He was making too much noise and he needed to get moving before any zombies heard or noticed his presence. He needed to conserve his ammo for later use. He was getting out of this city even if he had to blow up every single building in this whole city. He moved off a bit, heading towards where the explosion happened and he saw a burning helicopter. He saw a soldier scanning the area. He said to him, "Check your fire, check your fire, freindly coming around..." He moved out of the shadow, revealing his weapons and said to the soldier, "State your name soldier."
For a few seconds, there was no reply from the other military as he continued to look around and mostly at the burning remains of the aerial vessel. Getting worried about the man, Corey takes several steps closer and puts a hand on the man's shoulder. "I know this is hard, but get it together. You are still alive, so-" His words were cut off when the soldier sharply turned around. The bayonet on his assault rifle cut deep into Corey's stomach, but even through the pain, the man could realize that who he thought to be another survivor had their whole face burned away by fire, likely from the explosion. It was no longer human. It was dumb misfortune that its rifle got stuck in its arms as if it actually held it like a soldier would, and even less lucky that it actually cut Corey. Before he could recover from the pain, however, the creature tackled him to the ground and took a bite out of the man's shoulder. That was his end. Not twenty minutes later, another body joined the ranks of the undead

Zakk shoved his Magnum up a Zombies mouth and killed him. He put his Magnum back in its pouch and took out his Knifes, he slid his knife through many Zombies. He was unexpectedly hit behind the head with a broken hockey stick. Zakk almost fell unconscious though avoided it. He quickly got back up, seeing that he was being surrounded, he slid his knife through many Zombies heads and then got out the stadium. In the parking lot no Zombie were there, only some dead corpses by the doors. He quickly spotted a man lying on the ground, he sprinted towards him. Once close enough he grabbed his forearm and pulled him up. He recognized some army symbols but that didn't matter.
"My name is Zakk. I just came back from a mission. Hope we can work together?"
He looked around again and spotted an exit towards the river, that would be his escape route.
It was hard to tell whether it was courage or intense fear that pushed him to attack the zombies, but either way, it was a very foolish maneuver. They were completely unaffected by the damage his knife could dish out. Even when he cut the arms of some of these creatures, despite that being quite the feat, they simply continued to walk at him, ignoring all his attempts at disabling them. Perhaps if he had a heavier weapon and figured out that he wouldn't be able to kill the dead in a normal way sooner, he might have lived for a while longer. Alas, that wasn't the case, and going alone against dozens of enemies was a desperate effort anyway. He got swarmed very quickly despite his superior speed, simply because the place was flooded with them. After a gruesome end, Zakk would get up from the floor again, this time as an undead cannibal.

Rickie watched the carnage that happened outside the science room window. The science teacher had gone to his car to get his lunch and was bit by a rather sick looking group of teens. Rickie was in shock. He had just witnessed the murder of his science teacher. Rickie then watched the group of teens get up and start walking away. What happened next was what made him start thinking. The teacher began to stand up. Rickie could faintly see the bite marks on the teachers throat. Rickie wasn't close to the incident but, he was near enough to tell what was going on. He didn't say a word. Quickly and as silently as he could, he grabbed some of the experimental bombs he had been working on. Each one was roughly the size of a grenade with a small button at the top. He had been working onthem for quite a while but, he had needed a few ingredients from the science lab to make them work. He had made a special case for each one so that they wouldn't explode if he put them in his pants pocket. There was five of them. He slipped each one into his pocket.
Looking around for a weapon, Rickie began to notice a strange knocking on the door of the science room. He didn't want to take any chances so he put a chair on the lab table and climbed on. He pushed in a vent grate and crawled up. He kicked the chair by accident knocking it over the edge of the table. As he climbed further into the ventilation shaft, he heard the door splinter and break. He crawled as fast as he could so that he could get away from the strange groaning noises thst now came from the science room. _________________

Sora had been skipping class today, in fact you could say he had skipped the whole day so far. He had arrived at school, went into the buy's bathroom at the top floor, went into a stall, locked the door, and fell asleep. Usually he would stick around everyone else for a feel of danger and the chance of being caught, but he didn't have a chance as he had fell asleep. He had no clue what was happening outside.
When he finally woke up he checked the clock, conveniently placed in the bathroom. It was 12:35 PM. School wasn't over yet he was not tired at all, he actually decided to go to class. He had English at the moment, top floor. He actually had been close to his class. He unlatched the door and opened it. A shadow quickly swept through, but he thought nothing of it and nothing happened to be in the bathroom with him. He looked on the mirror as he yawned and wiped his eyes to get the sleep out of them. He then turned towards the door, the shadow once again sweeping the wall. Stupid faulty wiring, why don't they hire me... He thought as he walked towards the door. He pushed it open, slowly due to him being tired from sleeping as he saw his classroom, a zombie in front of the door. He quickly hopped back inside the bathroom, his heart rushing, his tiredness gone. What... Was... That...? He thought, his face was amazingly calm as before despite the extremely recent event. Am I dreaming, or was that a zombie? He thought as he pinched himself on the arm. He definitely was not dreaming, he rubbed his arm as he had pinched harder than he thought. This was bad.
Okay, so.. Crap. The shadow. He screamed in his thoughts as he turned around expecting to see another. Of course nothing was there. Okay, this is definitely not a dream. Even though I wish it was. So, what to do... Well I could hide, but I wouldn't let myself I need to do something... Well, let us be retarded and try to beat the undead... He thought as he looked at his surroundings. He knew this place like the back of his hand, but he wasn't thinking straight, this was really throwing him off. He decided he'd need something to help him, but the bathroom didn't have much. He would use what he could though. He quickly ran to each of the stalls, bashing the doors in and grabbing the toilet paper roll, getting three in total, luckily they were all full. He then ran to the paper towel dispenser for washing hands, his school really wanted every to wash so they had two in each bathroom, each dispenser had two rolls. These wouldn't do much, but if used in a smart and creative way... you never knew. He then ran back to the door, silently opening it. Of course that would've been too perfect right? Opening the door silently. Of course, it had to make a loud squeak as he opened it. Crap! He yelled, unintentionally, he was just adding to the noise.
He quickly took the toilet paper roll and started unwrapping the paper from it, as quickly as possible. He had a couple of meters within a second, hopefully enough. He then quickly opened the door and threw the one that was partly unwrapped the opposite of the way to the door, making the taoilet paper form a line from the zombie to it's end. He then took one of the other toilet paper rolls and chucked it at the zombie, hoping to get it's attention in the toilet paper he threw so he'd follow the one along the ground so he could get to the class.
OOC: I'm sorry, my later RPing should be better I have no idea why, but this one sounds kinda bad. Also please don't tell me me three toilet paper rolls and four paper towel rolls in one bathroom in godmod or shadowplay or anything, it's actually quite reasonable in my opinion. _________________

The Mall:
While Yukimaru was keeping his calm, going about the escape rationally, not everyone was that same way. A lone shopper, a biker from the looks of him, tried to make his getaway, but it didn't turn out too well. His mind was certainly clouded with fear to not anything into account: the noise his excessive clothing would make, the loud footsteps of his heavy boots and the debris lying around the place. At first, things didn't go too bad, but his luck ran out when he came closer to the exit and stepped on a piece of glass. It broke with a loud crack, drawing the attention of several zombies. However, he doomed himself with the mistake he made next: the dead heard the sound, but did not seem to know where exactly it came from, probably thanks to the echo in the quiet mall. But instead of stopping to analyze the situation for even a moment, he tried to make a run for it, each of his steps booming against the concrete and broken glass. He didn't make it far.
However, the noise created by him drew many of the zombies roaming the building towards the exit, which allowed the remaining survivors to breathe a little easier for the time being. It probably didn't matter much for Yukimaru, though: his path lied deeper into the building, where none of the creatures had reached at all, unless from the other side, the entrance to the underground parking. If he went now, he would likely be able to make a safe escape, but he would be leaving behind at least a dozen people who were in trouble. As a security guard, but more importantly, as a human being, what would he do from there?
The Stadium:
Although safe for the moment, it would be best for Locron if he could come to a decision soon. He was out in the open, which in this case was actually really good for him, but there was one small problem. The helicopter's crash, and especially the explosion, were extremely loud, easy to hear from several blocks away. Naturally, the undead wouldn't let themselves get held up on their way towards the place. Very soon after he came to, dozens of these creatures appeared at the exit from stadium, clearly moving in his general direction. However, much worse than that, they were also coming from every other direction, practically creating a circle barrier around him, and they weren't getting any further away. If he hesitated, the circle would shrink and its "borders" would get thicker, and then he wouldn't be able to make his escape at all. Whatever he was going to do, whichever way he was going to go, he needed to do it now.
OOC: give me more to work with next time
High School:
The situation at the school was pretty grim, even for those who weren't dead yet. The three survivors - or were there more? - were having different degrees of success on keeping that title. They were all shocked by the events that unfolded since the morning and up until present moment, but they were able to keep their wits about themselves, for some reason or another, and it was the very reason they were still alive. Was it a strong will, high intelligence, intuition or pure survival instinct? Who knew, but it was those qualities that allowed them to not be driven into a state of complete panic or mental breakdown, which were the reasons they weren't roaming the school looking for flesh to eat along with many others.
A boy from the Bennett family, a last year student at this school who was locked up in the chemistry laboratory, was currently making his escape through the ventilation shafts. Although it allowed him to escape imminent death at the hands, or rather teeth, of the cannibalistic beings, there were a few things that he didn't take into account. The most obvious one was, the ventilation system above a chemistry lab wasn't a very safe place, since it drew away all those toxic chemicals, a large part of which was condensed on its walls. Although it was far from lethal, the fumes would surely cause him discomfort breathing and irritate his eyes. Second, it was pitch black inside, so he could only move purely by touch, though that was a minimal setback. More importantly, he was risking running into the blades of a vent if he went the wrong way, which could very well end his life. He also had no idea which way he was supposed to crawl to get to a specific place in the school. Finally, his progress through the vents could easily be heard in the corridors below, making the undead follow underneath him, and he was probably taking too much of a risk deciding that it would be able to hold out under his weight. But for now, he was safe.
Someplace else, a younger male student was in quite a predicament. The disaster found him in an awkward position: sleeping in the restroom, which was ironic and a strange place to catch up on one's sleep. It was also weird that he managed to sleep through the panic that ensued earlier, but either way, the sight of a strange creature in the corridor caught him completely by surprise. Whether he was still half-asleep or thinking it was a dream, he didn't lose his head and quickly came up with a plan. Unfortunately, not all went as planned. When he opened the door for the second time, it creaked loudly, drawing the zombie's attention to him. Although Sora still proceeded with his initial plan, it didn't work at all: the noise created by the toilet paper rolls was much weaker than what he created seconds earlier, and the creature had a very one-way mind: having caught sight of a potential prey, it wasn't going to get easily distracted. It kept walking towards the boy with deathly calm - not that it could really get excited, being dead. However, luck seemed to be on Sora's side as the creature stopped before the closed door, trying to figure out how to get past it after simply walking into it didn't produce good results.
But hope was not yet lost for him. While the zombie stared blankly into the door, almost leaning against its surface, another figure appeared silently behind it. Two quick motions and a sickening crack later, the cannibal slumped to the floor, its neck bending at an unnatural angle. That was easier than expected, - Sieva thought, being thankful to himself for practically always wearing sneakers, just like this time. In truth, he was hiding behind the corner, formulating a plan to try and get past this creature, which was previously standing at the door to the English class, facing the window. There was nothing he could think of for several minutes, but then something drew the creature's attention away, allowing him to sneak up on it. Of course, he was taking a great risk, but he had no choice: the way he came from was littered with corpses, the validity of death of which he didn't dare confirm - while jumping out the window from the third floor wasn't a very good idea. That and he was pretty confident in his ability to approach someone silently. He sneaked up on the zombie, carefully calculating his every step and making sure to stay as concealed from its sight as possible. When he got in range, he slowly stood up, and then it was time for action: he slowly reached out with his left hand towards the dead female's hair as he pulled back his right hand tightened into a fist, and then quickly grabbed and pulled it towards him as he put all his strength into a single blow to its lower neck, where the spine continued into the neck bone. Still, it broke too easily... although they seem to be able to fully utilize their muscles, without the brain blocking their strength, and aren't afraid to hurt themselves when overusing it, they also seem incapable of unconditioned reflex. A living person's muscles would tighten subconsciously, likely rendering this blow not even crippling. He looked at the dead person and realized it was one of his former classmates, but remained completely unfazed. Was he really that heartless? Perhaps, or it could be that he was subconsciously blocking out emotions to prevent himself from doing something stupid and dying as a result. But even with a seemingly cool mind, he couldn't get himself to take many risks: probably because risks were illogical, but he suspected because he was just too scared. It was ironic, really: he was a fearless person in appearance, but inside, he was afraid of a lot of things, just never showing it to anyone.
He grabbed the wall with his left hand as his sight got a bit blurry in order to support himself. Truly, he had quite an unlucky combination of character and physique: forcing himself to fight his many fears with his mind produced a lot of adrenaline as a result, and he had an irregular heartbeat. Someone who never got to do much physical exercise might never be faced with it: it didn't affect anything when a person was calm - but when the heart beat increased, the heart grew more out of sync, creating irregular blood flow, putting strain on blood vessels and bringing one's pulse to what would normally be impossible. Of course, just because he remained conscious didn't mean he was feeling well. As he heard the door to the classroom to the left, the one he passed when sneaking up on the zombie, open, he was startled and sharply turned around, which caused him to trip and fall backwards due to his dizziness. Of course, that didn't serve to calm him, or his heart, down at all, and his vision became even worse. He felt like a huge load was lifted off his shoulders when he strained his eyes and saw that the one who emerged was a girl, meaning a living one. Of course. She turned the door knob. A zombie wouldn't be able to do that. They just bust through somehow, - he told himself, cursing his nerves as he tried to get up, but to no avail: once he got to his knees, he felt that he would just fall again if he tried to stand right then. Oh. Hey, - he said quietly, wanting to draw the girl's attention without scaring her and creating as little noise as possible.
He had quite some time to observe these creatures now. It was a wonder how he managed to remain hidden for four hours without actually hiding, but carefully moving around the building to avoid getting trapped. Of course, that wouldn't be possible if he was just wandering about in a zombie-infested school, but others who remained alive often unwillingly worked to prolong his survival. That and these creatures were quite inferior to a human in terms of being able to discover anything. Either their senses were bad, or they were slow to react, or both, though that was only true at a distance: when attacking someone they already got close to, they displayed surprising agility. However, they were dead, so they completely ignored anything one might have thrown at them. The only way to put them down for good seemed to be sufficient damage to their brain or spine, in other words, the core of the nervous system. He came to that conclusion when he realized that, although some of the corpses lying around clearly had bite marks on them, they weren't getting up or displaying any signs of life, and what they all had in common is severe spine or skull damage. Just like a movie... thinking about it, isn't there somebody still in the restroom? Yukimaru looked at the machine at the shoulder level hieght of the door and then took the card he had in his hand and then swiped it in the small reader. He looked at the small LED light, which was red, blink twice and then turn yellow. He sighed and then watched as the wall next to him opened a small rectangular crease and then revealed a small keypad with a small screen.
~Please Enter Employee Identification Number.~
Yukimaru grumbled and forgot the Emergency Switch System activated when an Alarm was tripped to turn the Security Room turned into a Panic Room. He entered the code "HSOTD". The LED light then flickered yellow before going to a solid green. The door's locking mechanism clicked and then he pulled the switch knob down. As he opened the door, the hall before him was a narrow, dimly lit hall of about 50 feet to another door. The dying blue light flickered harshly as he walked down it and the door behind him clicked shut loudly. He jumped and then he swallowed back his pride a moment as he realized he was the only on in this hallway. He walked to the opposing door and then pushed it open. As he did, he could see the giant mall before him.
"If I remember correctly, I'm on the 3rd floor, Western side. The Eastern side has the exit, with the door to the Basement being downstairs on the first floor, Northeast section. the 3rd floor has about 100 stores, but most of them are clothing and music. The only thing useful here is the Queen's Patty on the opposing side." He said as he walked up to the balcony of the 3rd floor and looked down some 70 feet. He looked to the east where the large entrance was. There were zombies surrounding something and he looked away almost in disgust, regurgitation making itself dominant.
He recalled his stomach and began walking slowly to the left of his location, the mall being a large rectangle and his security room being between two clothing stores in the exact middle of the building. As he passed by several stores and then made the right to proceed along the south section towards the east, he heard several "Psst" noises. He stopped and looked back to a store called "The Last Chance", a music store he was often called to for some disruptive behavior on the customer's behalf. He walked back to the store and then was pulled in by a hand from the shadows. He was slammed down to the floor and then his heart pulsated as if he knew this was the end.
"Please... your uniform... you're a security guard, right?!" The shaken person asked as Yukimaru's heart skipped a few beats. The person released him and Yukimaru tried to compose himself but his breath was short. "You must have a gun, right!? You can kill those things?"
Yukimaru looked at the shaken blond man, who he can see as his eyes situated a bit to the dim store. "I... I'm Yukimaru, a security guard. And I have a stun gun..." He dug into his pocket and then pulled out the stun gun. Before he could say anything, the man grabbed the small weapon and then pushed Yukimaru aside.
"Dumbass! Now you're gonna die! Ahaha!" The man roared with laughter as he ran off into the mall, presumably downstairs.
Yukimaru stood there looking at the door. Now, his escape was becoming an impossible task.
