Cheza wandered around the town after not having been there for a while, after drawing out of the Kunoichi scene. Many who knew her then may not know her now, as she travelled with a much older-looking wolf, whose hair was starting to grey a little. What was her deal? She had been gone to look for secrets on the Emigre that she held, and she found little success. She decided that the next best deal was to return and become a Kunoichi once again. It wasn't that she had went rogue- she just wasn't around to call. But now she had returned, and she was determined to succeed where she failed at looking for answers- at least on her own.

Looking down, she smiled to Toboe, who said, "Cheza-sama. I know how you're feeling... Do you think that anyone we know is still here, or still remembers us? For how long we were gone... I think that maybe the others have surpasses us, and have gone their own ways, eventually forgetting about us..." It seemed Toboe had grown up in his manner of speech, too, no longer sounding like the little kid he used to be. Cheza held her hand to her heart, and closed her eyes. Could it be that they had forgotten about her...? She wouldn't blame them- after all, she hadn't met anybody for very long... and they knew nothing about each other other than the fact that they were similar- both of the Emigre bloodline...

Izaku dropped down from a rooftop, checking of his shoulder while he listened carefully. Silence. He had managed to lose his pursuers yet again. He had to admit, they were a persistant bunch, but they were mediocre compared to the other hunters that appeared over the years. Sanding up straight, Izaku let out a short sigh. What bafoons.... what do they think they might have accomplished? whatever it was, they only recieved death....... but why?

He had made the mistake of dropping his gaurd, if even for a mere moment. A group of hunter nin had somehow recognized his face from a 3 year old wanted poster. Now, two of them were dead... though it was not by his choice. The first had made an attempt as assissinating him... which failed, and the second tried to ambush him after the result of that mess. Since the two deaths, the remianing hunter-nin had been systematically tracking him down while he continued to escape pursuit every time. The senseless death had started to burn his soul years ago, but he often had no choice in what happened.

Waiting until his panting subsided, he moved casually out of the alley and into the street. The blade on his back had no trace of blood upon it and there was not anyway to physically discover his forced actions. He soon became aware of more foreign thoughts entering his mind. This is a place of peace...... Hmm... it would be if a monster such as I were not here...

Ken's boat to Kiri had crashed somewhere in the ocean, and Ken had woken up somewhere on the coastline of Otogakure's old residency. He had woken up having no idea where Tsubaki had went, or even if they had arrived at the same place. As he looked around he saw footprints, but they didn't look human. They looked like a adult male brown bear followed by a cub, almost completely circling him. He had then slowly walked back to Iwagakure, maybe he would find Tsubaki back here. Maybe not.

As he walked through the village, his clothes were ripped and tattered. His shirt was ripped off a little above his bellybutton and his jeans had became ripped shorts. He looked like a mess, though he still walked forward with a smile. Another day, another chance for greatness. As he walked he saw someone walking around, she looked familiar, though Ken wasn't sure why. He decided to find out. He walked forward until he was about a meter away from the girl, she certainly looked like he should know her. She had a Iwagakure headband too, so maybe he had just seen her around the village.

Bonjour. He said as he tilted his head to the left and smiled.

Cheza was lost in her thoughts, not really paying attention to the surroundings. That's when she heard someone talking to her, that was close to her. "Hm?" she turned her head to the man who spoke. "Hello." she said simply. It seemed Cheza still used her simple phrases, not saying more than she had to. Toboe, on the other hand, looked up to the male, then his ears perked up, and he ran off, Cheza acting without much surprise. She had, after all, complete faith in him, and in the fact that he knew what he was doing. She kept her face trained on the male, and asked, "What're you doing here?" She knew he was an Iwa-nin, like herself, but she figured he might know what she meant.

Toboe, meanwhile, ran to the scent he picked up. It was one that he didn't know, and didn't seem to belong, somehow. He saw a man that carried a sword on his back, and it didn't smell right. Toboe couldn't figure out what it did smell like, so he pushed it out of his mind. He chanced speaking to this man, to find out what he was. "Good say, sir. May I ask what brings you to this village?" After he said that, Toboe sat down and narrowed his eyes, wondering what his reaction would be...

Izaku continued picking his way through the small crowd of people that wandered down the street. As he found himself being addressed, his eyes flicked down at Toboe, flashing red then switching back to a bluish green. One of these emigre... how interesting that it has strayed from its master... Even as the emigre stoped, Izaku kept walking forward, half expecing the beast to follow.

"Indeed.... what is it that draws a ghost to the living? one can't be too sure without becoming a phantom themselves..."

the fact was that Izaku had no idea why he was there himself, he had not felt the pull of the universe since he had arrived in the village of the stone. It had been less than a week since he witnessed the old man kill himself, and he had been brought here... but why? He had killed two people, but what good was it? He was becoming tired of it, but what choice did he have? As he griped the pendant, he found his thoughts echoing back to himself. He looked back down at the pendant as he moved forward. Such an interesting device.....Kishi's master must have truly been strong.. Izaku looked in the corner of his eye to see if the wolf was still following, but there was too much movement to tell.

He shrugged when asked what he was doing here. Boat wreck and I finally made it home. He answered, as weirdly as it sounded, it was still true. You? He asked, as a bird landed on his shoulder with a note. He looked at Cheza with sincere eyes, I have to go. I'm sorry. I'll try to catch you later. He said as he waved once and smiled once more. Have fun He said as he turned his back and started walking. His pace was faster than normal and his face serious. This letter disturbed him, it seemed there was a missing ninja around here, but they hadn't been sure where.

Cheza smiled. Looking for the secrets of my bloodline. However, he took a note before she watched him jump away, with a "Have Fun." She nodded silently, then went to search for Toboe.

Meanwhile, Toboe smiled. "You don't seem as... suprised as one should be. Indeed. I believe the warmth of the living is what draws them, as they feel cold themselves..." The wolf trodded next to the man, and didn't look up or even look like its mouth was moving.

Velidina had caught sight of them, and wasn't too far behind. She wasn't hiding, but trailing back a bit, following her Emigre, giving him space to talk to the human that he seemed to grow attached to for now.

Izaku shook his head at the wolf's response. "You think as I once did... but it isn't as simple as that. The wraith is not drawn to heat... rather, it is pulled as it were a puppet on stings by some invisible force that draws them ever toward other souls..." As Izaku blinked, his eyes changed shades again, turning to a more blue color. He doubted that the emigre would truly understand what he was talking about. Would he understand what it meant to be devoid of purpose? To simply wander the world with no true meaning to his actions? He had yet to meet another who was unbound by some sense of purpose.

Izaku Made a slow turn around the corner to the next street. As he moved, he caught sight of Cheza in the corner of his eye. She was the only person among the crowd that appeared to be directly following them. So this is the master.... It was obvious that they didn't have any ill intentions, so Izaku turned his gaze back to the new street that had opened up before him and simply kept walking. "Tell me, wolf, have you ever seen a ghost?"

The wolf looked to the man. So was he one of those wandering lost that Cheza often talked about? She knew more about the stuff than he did, but she often didn't talk about it. He noticed that he seemed to notice that Cheza was nearby. She wouldn't mind, he knew, since he wasn't hurting him. She was only there just in case. Toboe heard the man speak again. "Have I met a ghost...? You're speaking to one..." With that statement, Toboe's head fell, although he kept in step with the male. Cheza was catcing up, slowly but surely, making sure she'd be able to talk to the man, but giving them their private conversation first...

Izaku let out a short, quiet laugh at the wolf's response. "Well, that makes two of us then." His eyes flashed again. "But then, you have a purpose, do you not? I am not so lucky. I am cursed to be the phantom pulled by strings...." Izaku went silent for a minute or two. With the pendant still clutched in his hand, he listened for the thoughts of the others... but there was nothing. "Were you once bound by these chains?" He closed his eyes for several seconds and just let his feet take him forward. He didn't reopen them until there were half way down the street. His shattered mind pieced togather the images of all the comrades that he had once had... it was a very short list. How long had it been since he had seen any of them? he couldn't remember.
