This is how exams will work for each rank:

Chuunin Exams (For Genins):

You Must Have 75 Posts.
You Must Be An Active RPer, And Have Done Atleast 4 RP Topics.
You Must Have Done 3 Missions.
You Must Be Part of One of The Five Shinobi Villages
Exams will be Hosted By 1 Random Village Every 3 Months - 7 Months. All Villages Participate In The SAME Exam.

Jounin Exams (For Chuunins):

You Must Have 250 Posts.
You Must Be An Active RPer, And Have Done Atleast 10 RP Topics.
You Must Have Done 7 Missions.
You Must Be Part of One of The Five Shinobi Villages.
Exams will Be Hosted By Respective Kages and Tokubetsu Jounin that Specialize in Exams.

Tokubetsu Jounin Exams (For Chuunin/Jounin):

You Must Have 500 Posts.
You Must Be An Active RPer, And Have Done Atleast 20 RP Topics.
You Must Have Done 10 Missions.
You Must Be Part of One of The Five Shinobi Villages
You Must Specialize in 1 Area of Nin (i.e. Medical, Interrigation, Assasination, etc.)
Must Apply To Respect Kage For Position.

A jounin who specializes in a specific area of expertise. Some are hunting specialist, others are recon specialists. So forth and so on.

Hey... the "Must know all basic jutsu's" isn't listed for a chuunin exam requirment. Don't you have to learn tree climbing, water walk, gen Kai, as well as at least one other jutsu to be eligable for the exams?

That is a requirement, yes. A Genin must know ALL Basic-named Jutsus before they can attempt to become a Chuunin.

No it's not Kat. Read Lava's requirement above. And to be force to know all the basics is ridiculous. Seriously, if you think about it, Kai should be a B Rank jutsu since it require a different kind of control.
