Walking across the sand of Kusakagure, he hummed a small tune. The words flashed into his head undidden:

[i]I remember black skies, the lightning all around me,
There was nowhere to hide, the ashes fell like snow,
and the ground gave in, between where we were standing,
and your voice was all i heard, that i get what i deserve. [i]

His father had taught him that small tune, before their untimly death five years ago.

Angeal had set out on a quest to find the killer, and avenge his family for the crime on his honor and code. Now he found him, cleaning his blade at the river nearby.

"YOU!!!!!!!" he cried out, and rushed at the foul murderer, who had killed for no better reason than that they were there, bloodlust clouding all sense.

At times, anger and desperation are a man's best friends, but it was not this time. He lashed out, misses, and was stabbed in the back. Kicked upward and away then.
Defeated.

Angeal, injured and anguished, then wandered into the Mist Village and lived there for two years. The theif was never found.
