{OOC: Changed my mind no rank training yet, not until Lava approves things.}}

Hecate sat in her house back in Suna pondering the various things that had happened to her over the course of the past few days. Surely that mission was not the highlight of her day, and when she thought about it, only sadness came to her mind, sadness, and the thought of killing those ninja, not to mention the three innocent people she had killed with Cervantes, and Kuma by her side too. It all seemed to be pointless, and cruel at the same time, perhaps her sensei's had been right in saying a shinobi cannot be human, for when a human feels emotion it brings down the mission, and leads to the death of those who they wish to protect, but she couldn't help it after all she was only at the age of fourteen, it was as though the weight of the world descended upon her shoulders in a tidal wave of guilt, and fear. What if she messed up like that again, what if she felt that same feeling of pain within her the next time that she was fighting, and witnessed someone die, would she be able to overcome it? Could she overcome it? It all seemed to be a fog within her soul, and that level of fog only worsened with each passing moment of the day.

As if in desperate act to try to escape reality, Hecate gathered a few of her things around her apartment, and decided to return to her dream realm to attempt to relax, and forget the troubles that plagued her like a disease. With the typical flash of chakra Hecate appeared in the realm, and took a sad sigh. I suppose I will have to just live with it, but even still.... I killed someone, no not just someone... people I killed people. Six people have died by my hands, six people have been eradicated from this world because of what I can do... I am a monster... a killer..... she let a tear slip down her cheek, as she began to walk over toward one of the tiny lakeside waterfalls that dotted her realm. I am a shinobi.... what a cursed word..... a word that brings nothing, but fear, and war to those who hear it. It might be better if we never existed that chakra never became known about... she said as she got undressed, and hopped into the lake, to try to let the water cleanse her body of what she thought was a terrible sin. But then again I suspect that humans would find a way to kill each other, regardless... we are such horrible creatures after all, bent or nothing, but war, and destruction. Be it for money fame wealth or power we will kill, and be killed for it. she dived slightly under the crystal clear waters, and viewed around at the few animals that were around the edges of the lake. If I could I would just stay here forever, and never face anyone again, and most of all never have to kill, or risk others in war again... I could be indifferent to it all..... At this thought Hecate shook her head I couldn't do that, after all I have people I know, I have my parents, even though I dislike them they still need me to protect them, and I have Cervantes, and Kuma as well. Living here forever would mean abandoning them to a possible fate that ends with an early death, and I couldn't do that..... not knowing that at least, besides I need to spend time with people while they are alive, for I will need their memories to continue on with my own life after they are gone...... with a small realization breaking up her super emo reflection hour Hecate stood up in the shallow lakes edge, eyes widened.

How did I know that I was... I am.... why did that seem like.... with a bit of a stagger backward Hecate felt her forehead, and winced a little bit when her hand caressed the crosses. It's just like these marks here keep cursing me. she said aloud as she continued to wonder about what was happening within her head that she knew so much, yet realized so little. How did I know that I am... I am.. immortal...... How!? How did I not realize it until now... and why... with an almost blind sad rage Hecate  flashed back onto the shore, picking up a kunai, and with all the rage inside her she used most of her arms strength to thrust the kunai into the tree, carving the bark up like it was tissue paper as she surged her chakra through the blade. Damnit! Damnit! Damnit! Why am I immortal, why do I have to keep living even after everyone is dead, even if I was to just live here in this realm what would it do for me!? I can never die naturally.... it seems as though this blessing the Ark bestowed upon is more of a curse, a curse that forces me to become a immortal killing machine that will serve its purpose to the end..... it's evil foul... desires.... that are nothing, but dirty rotten tricks to change human history towards a more war torn path. Hecate stopped as the tree began to lose half of its body mass, and she just let the kunai fall from her now limp hand. I refuse... I refuse to become that.... I won't even if I was pushed to the edge of the world I will not become a monster, I will never kill for pleasure.... I will never kill for sport..... She slowly picked up the kunai again, and threw it at the tree felling it in the process. And most of all I will never kill for those who desire money again, be it a person who wants to get ahead, or even my own village, I will not commit a sin that great unless the one who I am facing must be undone, and I am the only one who can end them. I will... no..... I must be the one to step up, and oppose those who would evil upon others, and if... if... Her throat lumped up as she thought about the next few words she would say. Even if.... my own village.... does not back me... up I must continue my path, no matter the cost....

With a sigh that screamed her being upset Hecate picked up her clothes, and got dressed again. At the very least she didn't want to be in the realm anymore now it was too making her feel depressed, and down. After she had gotten dressed Hecate decided that today she was going to try something different with her look, as if declaring that she was a different person on the inside Hecate undid the ties in her hair, and let it flow freely for the first time in months. The ties had been hard enough to do once, and she didn't bother to change them, so the feeling of her hair touching her ankles made her feel a little weird, but in a good way. As though to further cement this gesture Hecate took one of the hair ties, and attached the bells she had purchased some time ago into her now free hanging hair. As she began to pick up the things she had brought with her Hecate heard the bells ring a little chime, as she moved, and it made her get a bit of a more relaxed aura about her. What is the past is the past she began to think, it couldn't be undone, but things could be done to counteract it, and prevent future events, and tragedy like she had felt from happening to others that she both knew, and did not know. With a sigh, and a now calmer mind Hecate opened a portal to the ark within her dream realm, and walked inside of it. The Ark seemed to be so peaceful with its aura of old world serenity about it, and that made her feel slightly complete inside, though for now she just shrugged it off as being part of her bloodline, and continued to search throughout the Ark for somewhere different from where she had been going to before.

As Hecate searched, and opened the various doors within the Ark she found most of them to be pointless and boring looking. That is until Hecate came across one that when she opened it, she smiled a bit. It was a clouded fogged coast that seemed to have a chill in the air about it. However for her right now it seemed like a relaxing to place to gather her thoughts outside of the dream realm she was hanging out in for the past hour or so, and without a second thought she took off her shoes, and walked through the door to the coast, allowing her toes to fully enjoy the feeling of the wet sand upon them, and allowing her hair to flow in the cold wafting breeze that swept over the gentle coast, and ocean all the while the bells ringing a peaceful chime into the air. Secretly she was hoping that someone, anyone would talk to her, because honestly she wanted to have someone to relive her worries, and calm her worried heart. If that didn’t happen though it would be just as well, for she knew she had all the time in the world to ponder, and contemplate her actions, and events she had partaken in recently, and that was enough to make her feel satisfied for now.

OOC: We don't need to ask Lava. You need to get him to approve you and provide the proof. That's how it works. when you buy something from him, you produce the proof. We don't go seeking it out.

(I would like to state that I am not rank training.  I am here to keep Pikmin company.  I may do a bit of jutsu training later on, if time/circumstance allows.)

It was a rather nice day.  The breeze coming off the sea was cooling, but not cold, and the thick fog that accompanied it was slowly creeping onto dry land, creating a dense wall of whites, that was difficult to see through.  A lone figure lay on the outer reaches of the beach, dressed in a white T-shirt, and pants that seemed a few sizes too large.  His feet were bare, a thin crust of sand slowly crumbling off of one, which was suspended in the air, its leg crossed and resting on the opposite leg's knee, as the foot swayed back and forth to an unheard rhythm.  Arms crossed, and hands locked behind his head, the figure seemed to be rather relaxed, laying on a grey sweatshirt, with a pair of worn out shoes near the left side of his ribcage.  Stretched over his short, brown hair, was a pair of headphones, looking almost like plastic earmuffs, with a cord that snaked past the chin, down the neck, across the pectorals, sneaking past the shoes, to end somewhere in the pants' pocket.  Were one to place their ear next to the headphones, they would receive some of the bleeding audio, but not the entirety of the song.  That privilege was saved for the young man, Hideo Tyrvel.

It was a relaxing piece, opening softly, with a guitar plucking lightly, a rubber-banding synth, and a quiet, reverberated percussion section.  Within seconds, a smooth, calming string section took the place of the lone guitar.  Soon enough, the drums came back, with friends, and the melody changed, intensifying, building for a climax that only fell short to a short electric guitar solo, followed by the passing of the spotlight to a flute.  Then it began to build again, picking up the pieces of the previously failed attempt to come to a peak, only to come crumbling back down, falling into a lull of strings, accompanied by the selfish flute.  Finally, the upward struggle was attempted a third time, climbing a jagged hill, filled with the rubble of past mistakes.  Nearly at the top, of the treacherous trek, the arrangement suddenly halts, finally realizing its true purpose.  It was not the destination that mattered, but the journey.  Taking a seat, mere footsteps away from the peak, the end of the journey, the piece decided to take in the world around it, letting the guitar and the flute fade away, into the oncoming sunset.  Hideo had the song on repeat, letting it paint a beautiful, forested landscape in the forefront of his mind.

His closed eyes slowly opened, letting in only the thick shades of white that surrounded him.  He liked it here.  It was peaceful, quiet, and best of all, vacant of people.  One could simply sit and stare into the white void, watching their thoughts flash by on the low lying clouds, as though they were films being projected onto a giant screen.  There was no worry about being disturbed, or interrupted here.  He could lay like this all day, and quite frankly, he intended to.  In the back of his mind, Hideo knew that he'd be caught eventually.  It was at least frowned upon, if not forbidden, for a shinobi to leave the village, unless they had a valid reason, such as embarking on a mission.  That's why he couldn't simply walk out the gates.  Fortunately, for the past three years, he'd been able to use the same method to get to this spot, and bear witness to its tranquility.  There was a very old tree, at least twenty stories high, when compared to the buildings around it.  This tree stood at the edge of town, many of its branches hanging past the walls.  It was simple for one to climb a tree, and crawl out on one of those limbs, to a temporary freedom.  It was getting back in that was the problem, usually.  More often than not, he had to take the main gates back in, and suffer the chastising of a higher ranked shinobi.  Apparently, he never learned his lesson.  When were they going to understand?  He wasn't a child anymore.  He could fend for himself, and make his own damned decisions.  Just thinking about it began to ruin his peace of mind.

Sitting up with a heavy sigh, the black haired teen looked around.  White, as far as he could see, except for the sand immediately surrounding him.  But, there was a break in the fog, a motion that wasn't simple rolling.  Had he been found by a Jounin?  Pushing himself into a stand, he lowered the headphones from his ears, hanging them around his neck.  He began walking toward the strange motion, only to confirm that, yes, it was another person.  It wasn't anyone from the village.  If it were, they would have pounced upon their prey already.  "Hello?" he shouted at the strange sound of small bells ringing, "Who's there?"

The wind, the air, the feeling of it all seemed so peaceful. This place the land of lightning was it? has an unsuspected, has a charm about it that when compared to the sand village seemed to be immeasurable. Only in her home on the oasis had Hecate found things to be enjoyable, and quite. If only 'I had a book' Hecate pondered briefly, after all it was one of her favorite pastimes before becoming a shinobi, and she thought that maybe she could get back into it. This thought however fleeting a thought it was kept her mind company while she mused about may more things she had enjoyed in her childhood, or rather early childhood. From her father always telling her to stop being lazy, or her mother telling to not care so much, or the servants telling her mixed things, Hecate realized that she had never had any real direction in her life as far as discipline was concerned. Maybe that is why in all fairness that she at times had acted like a brat towards others. It made sense after all, with her being basically on her own for guidance in these matters no wonder she hadn't grown terribly in the social respect, and perhaps after this she should set the record straight with her parents, after all if not now then when? SHe had no excuses she was immortal after all.

However Amsted the peace that she was taking in Hecate heard a voice call out to her, or at least she assumed it was her, since there was nobody else around the beach.  With a bit of a turn to look over at the silhouetted figure Hecate flashed over in front of him her bells ringing out a slightly higher pitched tone, and with sorrowful eyes looked.... down? She was a little surprised at the man standing in front of her was shorter than her, but right now it was not on the 'to pick on list' With a small sigh Hecate began to address him. Hello to you too. she stated a sad tone to her voice. Sorry I didn't expect anyone to be out here besides myself...... I apologize if you were here first, if you want I can leave. she said her hair shifting in the gentle breeze upon the coastline. With a careful observation Hecate looked him over, and concluded that he might be a shinobi, of course with her luck he might be an enemy, but it didn't matter she couldn’t be killed anyway, well at least not in this world. with a look down towards the ground Hecate let out a soft smile, and began to speak again. of course if you prefer to listen to my sob story, I could teach you some justu, since I am correct in assuming you are a shinobi right? Anyway I understand if you don't want to listen to it, after all it is a downer, and it might wreck your week, but it's your call. Ether I leave or you listen, and I teach, honestly I am tired of all the smoke, and mirrors in this world so that's my proposal. Take it or leave it……. Hecate stated a bit of a serious tone in her soft sad voice. It was as if inside of her something had changed, like she had grown up a little, because at least now she didn't desire anything fake, but surprising wanted something real to talk to, and something or someone that could listen to her without judging, and hopefully this boy would be it.

The response to his call was the form of a girl, suddenly flashing in front of her eyes.  An exasperated look slid down his face as she looked down, seemingly surprised that he was shorter.  Seriously?  It was an inch, two at the very most.  If she was going to give him flak for such a small difference in height, then he was going to give it back, in the form of four knuckles meeting her teeth.  He'd heard just about enough, of the snickering and joking about how someone who was sixteen could be so short.  There was a limit, before someone snapped under such abuse.

But the exasperation quickly melted away, leaving behind a rather concerned expression.  This girl, she seemed rather depressed about something.  She claimed to have a story, and one that fit her mood.  Usually, he couldn't care less about other peoples' problems.  They were burdens that he didn't need to bear, didn't want to hear.  As far as he was concerned, the problems belonged to them for a reason, and he didn't want to catch fire for being in league.  Though, there was something that made him want to listen.  Perhaps it was how pathetic she seemed, or maybe his peaceful mood.  Whatever it was, he was compelled to lend this girl an ear.

"I don't need teaching," he snorted, his personality holding a mask over his own thoughts, "Especially from someone who doesn't have anything to teach me."  The last part was legit.  There was only one person whom he wanted instruction from, and that was his academy instructor.  There would come a time, hopefully sooner than later, that Hideo would go to the man to learn how to use that Chidori technique.  The rest of his training would be at his own discretion, and the techniques he learned needed to be useful.  There wasn't much use in learning something that he couldn't use in a practical situation, now was there?  From the moment she had jumped before him, Hideo had this girl pegged as an elemental manipulation artist, or maybe a sound user.  It was mostly the bells, he figured.  While both were great methods of fighting, he had little use for learning them, as his own skill with elements was sub par.  Though his understanding of sound was great, and expansive, he did not have a method of using such techniques.  Thus, he had determined that there was very little that this girl could actually teach him.

"But," he said after a few seconds, "I'm willing to listen anyway.  You're just lucky I'm in a good mood.  Besides, you seem a little down.  Talking might get a few things off your chest."  His hand sliding into his pocket, Hideo cut the music short, pressing the power button on his player.  Something about his luck was changing, what with the episode involving that Mei girl - That was a rather peculiar incident that he felt very fortunate to have survived. - and now there was this girl, who wished to tell him something of a story.  He didn't know if this change in fortune was for the better, or the worse, but it was certainly making life more interesting.

Hecate just shrugged as he said he didn't need teaching, however when he decided to insult her, that is when she began to little annoyed. Who was this little punk anyway, saying she couldn't teach him anything, as if, I mean she didn't use taijutsu at all, but besides that she did know a good variety of ninjutsu, and genjutsu, but if it was his wish then so be it she wouldn't teach him at all. Though she was looking forward to doing that very thing, she had learned that some people needed too learn things on their own, and she was no exception to this rule.

Her mood lightened back down her previous feelings of sadness, as he said he would listen to her story. She knew that he might not completely care about what she had to say, but too bad she thought since he had willing said yes to listening. Hecate brushed back her hair that was almost getting into her eyes, and held her right head up against her head. Well if you want to listen you may as well take a seat, I mean it's not too long, but it beats standing the whole. she said as she sat down upon the beaches sand, and had it course through her other hand, would she ever be free of this material? You know humans are just like this sand, so small, and helpless, plus we get everywhere, and make a mess, and when our time comes the tide that is death rises over us, and perish... well most do... me on the other hand.. well never mind this isn't what I wanted to talk about...

As if to tell someone a sad truth Hecate lifted the hair from her face, showing the crosses she had, and began to talk to him. I was sent on a mission to prove a certain farmer’s innocence due to a body being found in his house. The local police suspected he had done it because the man’s body was identified as a mine worker, they thought the farmer had been stealing materials from the mine in order to work off a small debt he had. she took a pause, and continued. Of course nothing is that simple, and upon arriving in the fire country's plains area, we were ambushed by some ninja, but obviously we killed them, no casualties, no problems. Well there was one problem, we didn't kill the ninja we killed clones, or copies, or something the point was that instead of killing them we killed innocent people, people who under a jutsu, gone poof dead by our hands. she looked down at the sand again, and smirked a bit. But that wasn't so bad, I mean I felt bad sure, but with my friends by my side I was fine, it wasn't too bad, after all they were there to help me not feel the pain of it. It was later on in the mission, that made feel the way I am feeling now. With a faint tear coming down her cheek she looked at him with a bit of a smile that showed her happiness for someone to listen to her, but that smile soon turned much more into a sorrowful seriousness.

It was after that, that I went on my own to finish the ninja that I now knew were inside the mine, that is when I realized something. she paused letting herself gather her thoughts before saying the next part. I realized how fragile humans are, and how cruel shinobi are, our... my whole life up to this point all the training, all the learning the practice... was for one reason... it was so that I could kill people, so I could end their fleeting existence with my skills. It was so that when the time came I could, and would know how to kill them, how to make them suffer, and die. she looked down at the sand ready to cry. tell me have you ever seen it... the human body I mean, when it is in pain, when it is slowly dying from the pain I that has been inflicted upon it? It's not a pretty sight... and the fear, the fear of them still living drives you kill them before they can get up to kill you. All it is a cycle of never ending hate, and death, that is fueled by fear, and distrust. Hecate put her hands over her eyes so Hideo wouldn't see the tears that she was starting to shed. It is the worst thing you can see, and then to know that I was the one to commit the act of killing them well.... it makes me feel as though I have done something unforgivable.... I have cut down six people, ended all their dreams their hopes, killed possibly other peoples loved ones, and for what? My village... for money.... or was it for my own pride... I don't know, but whatever the real reason I did it for it makes me feel sick.

Having taken a seat in the sand, as she suggested, Hideo was glad he did.  It was a very heavy story indeed, one that would have taken his knees from underneath him, were he still standing.  This girl was coming to grips with what she was, it seemed.  From the sound of it, not an easy thing to go through.  Then again, was anything in life really that easy?  As much as he tried to stay unemotional, her words did a good job of drawing him in.  And the tears.  When he saw those, he nearly lost himself to the sorrow as well.  The girl tried to hide them, but he wasn't daft.  He knew what was behind the hands.  Also, they were trailing down her cheek.

With a heavy sigh, Hideo placed his hand on her shoulder.  He would have offered her a hug, but just that much was already making him uncomfortable.  So, she would have to deal with it.  The Genin wasn't great at showing compassion, or, well, any positive emotion, really.  Not in the company of other people, anyway.  Tapping his fingers twice, his gaze rose, from looking between his feet, to surveying the white fog on the invisible horizon.  For the moment, he only listened to the waves that he couldn't quite see.

"Well," he said after nearly a minute, "That does sound like some pretty hard stuff to deal with.  But, the way I see it:  They were your enemy.  If you didn't kill them, they would have killed you.  Even if they didn't they would have likely taken more lives.  It might sound silly, but by ending those six stories, you were ensuring the continuation of, possibly, thousands of others."  His words faded after that, and quickly.  What the hell was he doing?  He was justifying murder.  It might have been the truth, but it probably wasn't what she needed to hear.  "I'm sorry.  I'm not helping, am I?"

Hecate shook her head, at his last remark, and placed her cold soft hand on the one he had placed on her shoulder. No it's fine I understand what you are trying to say, it makes sense, but still you weren't there, I understand that killing them was important, but just the sight, the smell, the shock, the adrenaline, it was all so overwhelming. she took a little pause before speaking again in order to regain a bit of her composure. There was one of them that... that well... I kept stabbing I even used one of my weapon jutsu's to try and make sure he was dead. she looked up at him now with more serious eyes, that still had a hint of sorrow in them You ever seen a buther shop, how they have all the animals cut up in the back, that is what I did to him when I was in the moment, and that is one of the reasons I feel so bad.

Hecate removed her hand from his, shoeing it a bit, and sighed. Sorry for putting in through that story I can tell your not feeling to comfortable, but it's any consolation I feel a little better. Suddenly she realized something that was not so much important, as polite. I suppose in my angst hour I forgot to introduce myself properly. My name is Hecate Kuroi, it's nice to meet you Kumo ninja who I don't know the name of yet~ with a now more warm smile coming across her previously sad face, she stood up, and breathed in the air softly. I have to admit this place is sure better than the Suna when it comes down to, at least this coast is, too bad building a house on the sand is a bad idea, or else I might do just that here. She smirked at him with her much  more normal demeanor about her. I suppose all I needed was someone to listen to my random emo hour dialogue, though I won't admit to you thanks from a deep reach in my heart. Hecate thought to herself as she stood there in the wafting coastal breeze, apparently she preferred cold over hot weather.

As if to direct someone Hecate began to talk to him again after pausing for a moment. Alright I feel I have to repay you in some way, and don't say I can't teach you anything because I think I can, I at least know basic's of ninjutsu, some that I suspect you don't know yet, or at least have never tried yet, since your whole demeanor screams that you stole your techniques am I right? she giggled at him a bit as to let out a bit of her stress, and to just poke fun at him. Don't worry I won't blab, I am not even a ninja in your village, but first off I will need to know what you can do at least to a certain extent. Don't worry alright, I won't fight you or anything, wouldn’t be much of a challenge anyway if you think about it…. anyway just throw a kunai around or something, I just need to know your skill level, and how I should go about teaching it. She gave a more sarcastic face that she normally gave to others when addressing them to him, and she put her right hand onto her hip, and swayed a little. Oh, and in case you want to know 'no' is not an answer on this one, just view it as an act of repayment or whatever help you sleep at night, got it music man~

Well, it seemed that her mood had lightened.  It was true, that talking about one's problems often made them smaller.  Though, now she was somewhat annoying.  Hideo almost preferred the depressed mood.  Why did she insist on teaching him something?  He already told her he didn't care to learn anything today.  Truth be told, he was still slightly sore from his encounter with that scythe wielding schitzo.  Today was meant for relaxation, something that was sparse these days, it seemed.  But, it looked like he wasn't getting out of this so easily.

"I don't doubt that there's something you know that I don't," he started, getting to his feet, "But the real question is whether or not you know something that I would use."  His hand slid down his leg, to where a small pouch resided, opening it, and disappearing inside.  When it withdrew, a pair of kunai were clutched within it.  "By the way, it's Hideo, not Music Man.  Though, I might use that one day, if I ever decide to throw on a pair of tights, and become a superhero."  The second statement was sarcasm, of course.  Who in the right mind wanted to be a superhero?

She wanted a demonstration of skills, and yet, he didn't have the resources available to give a full one.  So, he would have to work with what he had.  Dropping the kunai, he placed Chakra threads on them.  The knives halted mere inches above the sand, hovering.  Now, for the magic trick.  Vanishing into a Body Flicker, he was directly behind Hecate.  With a simple pull on the threads, he commanded the kunai to rush toward her face, only a millimeter between them.  At the last possible second, they split apart, passing on either side of her head, curving behind their master's back, and slowly sliding back into the pouch.  Turning his back to the girl, he took a few steps, glancing over his shoulder.  "You have nothing to teach me," he repeated himself, "You don't need to repay me.  I listen.  It's what I do."
