Ari Phoenix

The young woman could feel her blood trying to become active, only to be negated by the rosario that she held in her sleeve. She didn't know how, but she felt that when the battle with the Betrayer started, then things would get strange for her, being that she had no idea what else to do, she would help that the mortal would be able to defeat the betrayer as soon as it came down to it. She wandered, wondering where she was, She noticed that there was clouds, and wind, and there was a smell of water. She noticed some plants, and wondered, why the wind had lead her here, of all places. She stared up at the cloudy blue sky, and the deep emerald green of the trees just behind her, and started thinking about the task that she needed to do, for until this was done, neither the vampires, nor the cursed, nor her own allowance would change.

She stared off, into both the ocean, and the sky, her raven black hair shining crimson in the light, her green eyes, trying to go red, as though the vampire blood was fighting to come to the surface, and the rosario, shocking her, and locking it back away. She knew, that something was going on inside her, that probably didn't happen but once every millenia. She waited, as the wind didn't want to lead her anywhere else.

Tai looked around a bit as he walked along the coast line. He had come from the Kiri just recently. He had heard of Kumo being a good place to go round this time of year. Tai continued on, smelling the sea salt upon the wind. Something cought his attention though. From where he was he saw a young woman looking up at the sky. He smiled and spoke in a soft voice that was quite unlike his usual voice. "Pardon me but, what would a young lady such as yourself be doing out in the middle of nowhere just looking up at the sky? I usually wouldn't stop to ask such questions but, I am quite puzzled by your behavior...."

Tai looked at her through his once proud eyes. The tattered remains of his mizukage uniform flapped in the wind as he looked at her. Hmm... I must look like a mad man, walking around and annoying people with foolish questions..... perhaps it would of been better if I leave.... Even as he thought this, a small voice in his head told him that everything happens for a reason.

The future vampire queen looked over at someone dressed in tattered remains of a mizukage outfit. She was surprised, to see such a person here. She studied him, her eyes trying to turn from green to red. She seemed to be slightly in pain, and curios confusion. She looked at him, wondering just what he was speaking about. "I am just following the wind, but the wind has said nothing to me now about what to do from here." She spoke as if in a dream state, her supposedly beautiful features glistening in the sun. She looked like she could be a pale tan, or a tanned pale. Her kimono in the colors of red and black, made it seem like she wasn't really a ninja or anything, if not for the giant sword on her back.

She studied him, wondering why he seemed to be one that was possibly touched by the Betrayer, so she spoke just one last word, before falling silent once again. "Ukyo."

The large spear pierced right through the Mizukage's body, but even better than expected: there was barely any resistance, so The demon flew right past the man. staying up still in the air, stroking his wings rhythmically. Tai's attacks seemed desperate now. The clones didn't react in time, so even though they threw their weapons, it was pointless, the scythes were now heading towards the clone creator himself.

Tai didn't say a word as the demon went past him and flew away. His attacked had missed and the fight was over. He hadn't even been able to land a blow on the demon. Tai released the clones and they dissapeared. The weapons that came at him followed suit. His stomach went back to normal as he stood there looking at Syra's body.

Flashback end.....

Tai shook his head. This demon and..... Ukyo...... why do I?...... The file that he had seen that had caused him to leave the Kiri in the first place flashed in his mind. His mind was still cloudy but, he remebered that there was something that connected the two. Tai looked at the young woman once again. "Who... Who are you? Tell me of this... Ukyo....." His eyes began to look harder and his weariness began to dissapate as he looked at the young woman intensly.

She noticed the shock on his features, before he became fierce, she dropped the rosario, long enough for her blood to awaken again, she felt the power surge, as her wings came out, and her eyes stared at him, now red again from the Vampiric blood. "I only know my name to be Shizuka, of the nights wind, I was the second most powerful Cursed ninja, though I was nothing compared to Tachibana, Ukyo." She spoke, giving a glistening of her fangs, before she picked back up the rosario. It shocked her, causing her to cry out, as she returned to normal, taking control, as she felt that the power wanted her to feed. She then stared at him, her green eyes, looking deeply, searching him.

"I guess you would say I am the next to lead these, that are like me, and those that are like creatures of legend, nightmares as you may call them, I do not wish to say too much, but you have been touched by the Betrayer, His powers are much greater than mine, but only because he has had them longer." She explained, looking down, a tear in her eye, as another jolt came through her, from the Rosario fighting her Vampiric blood, the power of which was stronger than all but Ukyo's and Rera's. She looked sad and pained, though she kept herself facing him.

She looked at the sand, and then back at him, as she regained composure. "I am the next to lead, the queen, he was the leader before, as well as the previous Hokage, But one day, during a great mission for the village hidden in the leaves, he disappeared, And then a week later, those that were like him, and similar, lost their power, minus the original, Her blood flows through me, as She turned me herself, my blood is strong enough to try to break what the betrayer, Tachibana did, but at the same time, I have to hide as a mortal, until a mortal slays him, I am to help with this Rosario, it will seal his demonic powers, but the wind has to tell me where to go next, but I can see, you have fought the demon, and know that his powers are stronger than any mortal being." She finished, looking sad, a tear in her eye. "I have to take this on, and yet I have no memory of who I am, before I was changed the first time, and the only thing that really gives me my identity, is to be hidden, until I take the reign of queen of the Ketsueki." She finished, getting on her knees. The tears streamed, as her eyes continued to swirl both red and green, trying to let her cursed blood out.

Ukyo.... demon... they were... the same? Katsuga's death, the attack on Kiri, and Syra's death all began to become clear. "He.... He was.... I... I.... I HATE HIM!" Tai had never felt so much rage in his life. The Ex-Hokage had killed three people whom he had known and in some ways looked up to. "Katsuga-Sensei..... Syra...... Sairyou.... he has killed so many..." Then, Tai had a burst of pride.Huh... and I fought him without so much as getting a scratch... As Tai thought of this, he was ashamed. I have no right to boast....Look what I've become.... Tai shook his head and cleared his thoughts of rage. "Being betrayed hurts.... surely your...." Tai thought of what to say next withought being rude. "... Kind is not like him.... well... at least you aren't.... You've spillt tears to a man that you barely know.... no... You... you are the truly powerful one Shizuka..... You can do good in this world..... please.... allow me to go where you go and help....Let me help you with what you need to do...." His mind swayed back and forth. He felt dizzy. Ever since his battle with the Demon Ukyo, he hadn't felt quite.... right. His heart however, told him that this woman would lead him to the truth. The truth of everything that was going on around him.

She looked at him, as she realized he had conflicting emotions as well. She watched as both pride, and then humility seemed to take over his face, before he tried to speak awkwardly. She listened, still trying not to lose her composure fully. "Iie, not all of us are like him, some of use just wish to be alive, to try to live peacefully with those that are mortal, and then there are those like him, who wishes solely for power, and to destroy those that seemed to have wronged him in his own twisted mind, I think he has lost to his inner darkness." She spoke, though feeling as if it was slightly in riddle, she also knew that it was clear as dawn. She watched his manner, trying to figure out more.
She knew he was angry, but also understood that with his anger, and frustration, could lead to him being rash, and unthinking.

"Are you sure, should you run into Tachibana-sama, that you could keep your mind and wits about you? I know that I must keep my own cool, the wind, and the one who gave me the Rosario, agreed that my heart must be strong, and that I must not lose myself, in this attempt. The only thing I know about his whereabouts, is that he is somewhere in this place that I have never been." She finished, looking up at him, her eyes still teared. She didn't know why she cried, whether it was the anger and sorrow of this man, the pain she felt herself, or the feeling that the one she trusted most in the cursed, seemed to have been the one to deal so much more damage.

Tai nodded. "Yes, but, Ukyo will awnser for his crimes.......He wronged the Kiri and the Oto by taking a Kage from each. I am sure that he will get his "Just Dessert"... though... it will not be from me... If he appears before me again... no doupt he will attack me but, I am willing to live with that as I have nothing left. I gave my home and possesions to my student who turned evil.... I lost my title and honor.... I have.... nothing except my power..... and I offer it to you to do as you see fit. I sense that you will do much good here.... that I have no doubt..... all I wish is to help and regain the one thing that actually matters..... My honor." Tai offered his hand to help her up seeing that she was still kneeling on the ground.

She carefully grasped his hand, and pulled herself up by it. "If you wish for honor, and repentance, then I guess you could help me, Though I know you are not the mortal that will kill Tachibana, I know that you and I can help the one alot, I just hope that you will be able to live longer than that, to be able to accomplish as much good as you are suggesting, and you forgot, he also took out Konoha, by leaving it, and he has caused great problems for the Cursed, All of which he will answer for, but not as a demon, as a mortal, with the rosario clasped to him, so that he cannot fight with powers beyond his normal ninja abilities." She spoke, with almost a declarative style.

She then let go of his hand, letting her emerald greens with the gray rings look at his eyes for a moment. "I have no home at the moment, I was in suna is the first memory, and I went to konoha afterwords, to seek out my bloods power and knowledge. I found him there, and that was the end of it, I have no home, and no name, besides my first, I hope that when this is over, I can find both my home and my name, atleast." She allowed him to know, as she looked back at the water. She felt the sword that was on her back, not willing to touch it, she felt the power in her veins, trying to escape, she knew that until she was able to realize both, that she was still, ignoring herself, beyond her name.

"Please, sir, what is your name though?" She asked, realizing, that she hadn't learned his name.

Tai smiled a bit at his own foolishness. "I apologize a thousand times over. My name is Tai Niju..... the once grand Mizukage of the Kirigakure." The wind blew once again,blowing a tattered piece of his Mizukage uniform to the side. His black cloak that lay under it was perfectly intact. His scythe lay under the tattered uniform, its long blade facing to the right. " A home is something that I long to truly find again.... have you ever been told that a rose called by any other name is still... a rose?" He smilled and ripped the rest of the uniform off. It flew into the wind and landed into the sea. "I have no need of my past memories.... I will start a new one by helping you....." Yet, a small voice in the back of his head spoke. Is that so?...... We shall see, Tai Niju, Kage of None.....
